Serious: The Adventures of the Cutting Edge Pirates Chapter 2 "Cold as hell" ((CLOSED))

Miguel grumbled as the captain continued to give him the ground rules. In Miguels head a first mate was merely the first person to join the ship, although she seemed dependable at times it didn't seem like this was fair for the cook. Miguel could only smile, or try to, as the ground rules were made, though he didn't like them.

Nika asked Miguel if she could train with him every morning. That was just what Miguel needed! A training buddy for the mornings, this was extremely productive for his morning practices, now he could talk to someone while he did his morning workout!

Miguel nodded continuously, giving the obvious answer of yes. He could teach her one of his two stances, while he works on improving them. This was great, company was perfect.

Miguel went back to thinking about the rules that were created, the captain seemed to be a bit more serious then Miguel would have thought he was. It was almost scary. Although, if Miguel were to choose between helping a good person or a bad person, he will always choose the good person, no matter who the opponent is on the bad side. It doesn't mean Miguel isn't loyal, it means he always stands up for what's right. Miguel nodded to himself while thinking all of this.

However, the rules were made clearly, and Miguel gave his thumbs up to show he understood them, although Nika was understandably against some parts of the captains rules. Miguel could only walk towards the kitchen and sit on the table, waiting for the argument to stop so he could get the pasta he had been longing for all day.

Jack sighed as Nika spoke back again, it was always the new pirates giving difficulty, but it wasnt a time for that, usually, captains would throw their crew in the brig for showing insurbodination, but Jack wouldnt do that, he wasnt going to be like his father and the many other pirates who have done that, Jack instead looked at Nika and then looked to Oni "As first mate, i expect you to set an example for the crew... if you dont, we will have mutineers asking for both our heads by the end of the year, we are not playing some childish pirate game , this is real, so we need to get along, if you two cant cope with each other, then avoid each other, but dont start any more huge tussles aboard my ship, its fine if you argue, but even then, keep it to yourselves and decide how you want to send each other to the locker..." Jack then sighed, it was hard being captain, but this was the life he chose "Now then, Nika me lass, i think we have a pantry on the ship, would you like to see it? Oni, you can take a break for a bit, maybe Miguel might give you a check up, i know you were caught by the marines, did they torture ye?"

"I understand" Oniyuri said as she heard the last bit of Jack's lecture. She stood smiling seeing that most of it wasn't directed at her... Only the last bit..Oniyuri was glad that Jack was sending Nika to a completely different part of the ship.. Oniyuri planned on relaxing up here...She needed no more treatment though, and she felt it was best to tell Jack all of that.. "No, I don't need anything.. I manipulated the stupid Marines into giving me treatment after I fought the captain..I also told them I wouldn't go back to Piracy, so they took me to their ship and said they would escort me to where I needed to go. I ended up paralyzing two of them.. Slamming a door into another.. and running past the sleeping one. I'm perfectly fine" Oniyuri said as she sat on the railing again.. the cold wind chilling her breath and body... but it was nice.. relaxing.. Oniyuri would stay here for a while..

Jack then nodded and laughed out loud "Good, now Nika lets head to the pantry and show you your quarters, Miguel, if you can find out where we are headed, if not steer the ships, THE REST OF YOU SCALLYWAGS CLEAN THE DECK AND DO YOUR CHORES!!! There'll be plenty of time for drinking later" He was referring to the ship hands , the young kids who had joined his crew to clean and scrub, they were on the job, getting it done. As Nika walked ahead to the pantry, Jack was behind her , whistling a pirate tune "Oh..a pirates life is a horrid life.... but a pirates life for mee....."
