Appearance: History: Alvander Furros was borne and raised in Shells Town in East Blue. His parents ran the Alvander Gang, keeping the town under their thumbs by instilling fear in the townspeople. Furros was raised to believe that money is the most important thing in the world by his parents. With enough, you could literally do whatever you want. Because of this, Furros became obsessed with money at a young age. His father, a former pirate who had sailed through the first half of the Grand Line, was a formidable force. His mother was no slouch either. Furros knew he would have to become strong to obtain riches in this world. His mother was adept with firearms and her dead eye seemed to be passed on to her son.
When Furros turned 16, he started to become an active member of the Alvander Gang. In the beginning, he mostly stuck to robberies on Shells Town. As time went on, he became restless. He wanted more money. He convinced his father to give him his old pirate ship in order to raid the surrounding islands. Not wanting to link the Alvander Gang with his pirate crew, he formed the Shell Pirates. His allowed him to gain more experience and become stronger, using his own style of fighting to take what he wanted. During the last years of the Alvander Gang and the Shell Pirates, Furros became increasing ruthless, even razing a whole town for refusing to pay for "protection" resulting in the death of many. His tyranny earned him the name "Despot Shells."
However, because of his actions, the Alvander Gang, previously unnoticed by the Navy, began to gain a notorious reputation. Most people thought that there was a link between the Alvander Gang and the Shell Pirates because they operated out of the same location. As a result, the Navy raided the island, capturing nearly all members of the Alvander Gang, his parents being sent to Impel Down, and with Furros barely escaping using his beaten up ship. Now, he wanders aimlessly, looking for a captain to continue his quest for riches.
Personality: Furros is very greedy because of his upbringing. He spends a lot for his own pleasure so he always looks for more Beri. He does not care for many other people, usually worrying only about those in his crew. He will do almost anything for money. When things go his way, Furros can be generous to some, but only if he feels he has extra Beri on hand. Even then, he makes sure that being generous will also work out in his favor, such as giving certain Marines a "donation."
