History: Salty Peppery was born in Water 7. He did not meet his parents. Both of them died while he was very young and so he lived in an orphanage that was founded by the Marine Basement of the island. Although everybody knew that the orphanage was just founded by the navy so that the marines would immediately take any children they found worthy to train, everybody was also glad that there was somebody to care for the children and Salty was one of them. When the boy reached the age of 12, the age when he could start understanding things more easily, he started thinking of that as well. However, just like everybody else, he was grateful to the marines as they were the ones who were responsible for his growth to a young teenager. As a result, even if the marines did not take Salty as a marine, he volunteered to become one in order to show his gratefulness, after seeing many of his friends of the orphanage becoming marine recruits.
When Salty was accepted by the Navy, because he seemed to be having a quite frail body, he was sent to a sniping division. There, he learned how to use a rifle and he started becoming a talented sniper. For many years, Salty learned many different things in the sniping division. He learned how to hold a rifle and keep his balance while shooting and he increased his accuracy greatly. His higher ups who looked at him were surprised with his sniping skills and they believed that he would have a nice career in the marines. However, despite the fact that he was talented in these aspects, all would have something to say about his speed. Salty's reflexes were quite bad and he was slow at shooting. This would be something he would have to improve... And that was how he was moved into another division.
After his higher ups noticed that he was not improving his own speed and that he would not fit in the division if he did not become faster, they made an agreement for Salty to be sent in the Photography Department. There, not only he would be trained by the captain to become a photographer for the marines, but also by taking part in missions, he would gradually have his speed increased. For over 12 years, Salty worked hard in the department. He did anything possible. There was one problem, though. He was not allowed by the Captain of the Department to snipe his enemies in a battle. Despite the fact that he got faster during all those years which he was in the Photography Department, Salty did not have the chance to improve his sniping skills.
Something would change, though. A few days after Salty became 31 years old, the captain of the division had an accident during a mission and he ended up with a cut hand. This made it impossible for him to take pictures and so he resigned from his position. As he resigned, he also recommended Salty for the position of the captain of the Photography Department, believing that he was one of the most successful photographers of the Department. And so, as the new captain of the department, Salty is planning some changes for it so that it will not only be an information unit, but also a fighting unit that will prove its strength to the rest of the marines.
At first, Salty was a very big coward. Even if he was sent in missions, his plans for turning the department into a fighting division would fail, with the biggest problem arising in the Anubis War, where Salty was almost killed during the battle when the big names were performing their great attacks. The man was seriously injured and as a result, a marine was sent to serve as a bodyguard to him. The marine was none other than Johnny Cool, a powerful marine who was quickly rising through the ranks of the marines and was now serving as a Marine Commander, one rank below Salty. That meeting with the Commander would change Salty a lot. Salty started having a greater desire to increase his strength and his battling power and from that point, he would not only try to take pictures of his enemies and try to take them down, but he would behave like a REAL marine. In very crucial points ever since he met Johnny, Salty managed to overcome his fears in order to look good in the eyes of the man, who was quickly becoming his pal and his best friend, Salty started fighting more and more and during his battle experiences his grew stronger and gained more confidence in his strength. He realized that he could do more as a marine and ever since then he started training his body, except from his sniping skills, in order to become a powerful combatant in close combat as he met many enemies who would actually easily dodge his bullets or simply block them.
During a mission in Whiskey Peak, Salty came to face the Troll Pirates, a powerful rookie crew who was currently hiding at the territory of Yonko Anubis. Despite the fact that he did not really want to face them at first, Salty actually managed to take down the powerful First Mate of the crew and two other prominent fighters, while Johnny took out the boss and other goons. As a result, both Salty and his subordinate were promoted, with Salty becoming a Marine Commodore and Johnny a Marine Commander. That promotion changed him slightly and as a result, the man started training himself more and more and strengthened himself in order to have powerful that would really match his rank.
Personality: Salty is a person who is grateful and who never forgets the good that has been done to him by others. That was what really leaded him into joining the marines. If he was not grateful to them for the fact that they were the ones that funded his orphanage, he would probably end up not joining them. However, even if his intentions of joining the marines started as the payment of a debt, he later started developing a sense of justice. Salty is a believer of Moral Justice and he is not eager to harm any people who claim to be criminals but they have not commited any serious crimes. Instead, he will let them go, hoping that they will turn into a new leaf. Also, Salty has a like for photography. After getting sent to the Photography Department, he started liking taking pictures more and more and now he simply loves his job as head of the department.
As for his behavior to his comrades, Salty is a talkative person who likes talking with others. He is eager to discuss anything calmly and he will rarely to never offend anybody. Salty is a kind marine and that is proven in the way he talks and behaves to others. He is not rude, he has manners and he is always willing to help his fellow marines at anything they do, even if it is a battle in which he will have to risk his life.
Whenever he is excited, because something that he deemed unlikely to happen, happened, he usually faints.
Despite those good aspects of his personality, though, Salty had some problems. Even if he wanted to make the photography department a powerful unit, he was also very coward. Even if all the years in the photography department that sent him to different places to run and take pictures he had a great increase in his speed, he never received proper training from a person and so he was scared of his enemies. That resulted in Salty usually fighting his enemies by running away and shooting them from a distance. However, after his meeting with Johnny, his best friend, Salty started overcoming that fear of his and he started developing his own battling style, a battling style that matches his former battling style that is concentrating on running away and striking at crucial times. That battling style, a battling style that he thought after facing two enemies who got in his nerves completely, is called the "Troll Style" by Salty and during this, Salty is actually becoming a troll, to the point that his voice and his way of speaking change significantly to make him look more annoying, while he also behaves as if he's very dump and annoying, even if he's doing that only to get in the nerves of his enemies.
Finally, on a recent mission (the same that resulted in the creation of the Troll Style), Salty's nerves exploded when he faced two enemies who were actually messing with his nerves. As a result, another personality of Salty came to the surface, that of the angry man who is going all-out whenever he's very angry and is much, much stronger due to his anger. Despite that, Salty is very patient, in order to be able to outsmart his enemies with his battling style and as a result, his anger rarely explodes.

Great Accuracy: Salty has great accuracy as he has been trained in a sniper unit for many years before getting transferred to the Photography Department. He can shoot enemies from long distances (up to 100 meters away currently). However, thanks to his camera/weapon's zooming ability, he can zoom towards his enemies to shoot them from a slightly greater distance.

Great Speed: His years of experience in the Photography department before he took over as the captain, granted Salty great speed. By constantly running behind any pirates, whose pictures he was about to take, he gradually developed great speed. This helps him a lot as he can move fast to take a picture of pirates before quietly leaving.

Troll Style: During a mission, when Salty was in a pinch, Salty thought of a battling style to try against his enemies. That was none other than the Troll Style, a battling style that is based on annoying the enemy in order to outsmart them. The ways of annoying the enemies are several. Firstly, when Salty performs this battling style, he changes a lot, becoming a very annoying man who is speaking differently to annoy his enemies and very fast. In order to enhance that, he will repeat different words around ten times or he will place words in different order. Furthermore, he is performing several gestures and useless motions or he is mocking his enemies in order to look superior, even if he is not. The troll style, after all, is a combination of a psychological and physical war. Another aspect of the Troll Style is that the user's techniques are techniques that would annoy the enemy a lot or make them feel really bad. As a result, it has techniques that aim for the enemies "dearest" body parts etc.

Troll Dodge: Salty's face expression remains the same except from the fact that his eyes look half-asleep, despite keeping full vigilance and care as he evades an opponent's attack just as normal. The true power of the technique is misdirection, making it appear as if Poof EASILY dodged, even if he was just a hair away from being cleft in twain. He typically uses this to demoralize and mislead opponents into doubting their own abilities, granting him a psychological advantage and it is one of his favorite ways to troll his enemies in a battle. Salty is always using this technique when he can so that he will annoy his enemies, troll them and make them believe that they are nothing compared to him. He never names this technique.
