Serious: The Clockwork Pirates Chapter 5: Darkest Depths

Mina
The ivory haired cook let out a small cry of shock at the sight of the gargantuan beasts and aimed her pistol for the croc's stomach, silently praying that her gun-powder wasn't too wet to ignite.
She backed away, her back making contact with the coarse wood of a tree-trunk, her eyes wide.
Normally, Mina would never simply fire at an animal who hadn't threatened her- but this crocodile and that giant bug looked hostile and could both prove a massive threat to her survival.
All the same, Mina swallowed and kept an eye on the crocodile, waiting to see if it would lose interest and retreat back into the water- giving her a chance to get away.

Delphi

Delphi smiled faintly to Trake. "I'm fine. A few scrapes and bruises here and there, but I'm fine overall."
She coughed a little, shaking her head. "You needn't call me "Miss" Delphi. Just Delphi will do fine, Trake." She wrapped her arms around herself, bowing her head. "As for food, I'm sure there'll be some on the Time Goes. We should go and find the ship as soon as possible...or at least what's left of it..." Delphi sighed delicately as she looked up at Trake. "The other members of the crew are strong...they've hopefully survived too, and if they have, our best bet of finding them is to find the Time Goes."

Delphi, too, was completely oblivious to any kind of impending danger from anywhere at all.

Maski was getting tired of cutting down the plants, She sighed as she stopped the gears and tossed out another used lollipop stick.As she popped a Purple Lollipop into her mouth, And Idea popped in her head.

Almost Immediately she started grabbing Vine and Logs, tying them into some sort of makeshift raft hanging above the forest floor. She then put her hand on a very large tree, pulling four 6' gears made out of wood and started fixing them into a makeshift set of wheels.

She tossed her Lollipop stick again into the trees, now barren of the candy, and put in a small chocolate ball in a tinfoil wrap onto her tongue. She pulled tightly on some vines and looked at some sort of makeshift car with Gears as wheels. "Heh, This should be much easier...." She thought, jumping on top of the raft.

Kyren & Mr Black

Feeling the watery fur of the blugori's shake his hand Kyren smiled and gave back a firm handshake. "Mr Black...alright then Mr Black lets head off to find this ship then. It should be pretty easy to spot since it has propellers and lots of other crap on it. Its called the Time Goes." Hearing the ideas of which Mr Black proposed of making a sort of signal to lure his crew sounded good to him but he was just hoping he wasn't planning on burning the ship.

"Yea that would be a great idea, you got any idea what we could use for like a flare or something like that though?2 Kyren asked as he stood up and began to tear through some vines with a single scalpel. His stomach growled wildly as he did and he asked Mr Black.

"Not to sound greedy, but could I have another fruit?"

Mina

Crushing the insect beneath her tough skin the croc flicked her eyes to the site of Mina and a grin grew. The crocodile managed to reach herself up in an unusual fashion on to its hind legs which still remained small but were oddly stumpy. It looked weird but at the same time normal as the croc stood up tall her head came down and stopped looking down at Mina from a height of 6 foot.

Looking at the white haired cook standing with pistol drawn this female croc opened wide and lunged forward at Mina quickly hoping to catch her in her mouth. She of course didn't plan on eating her though. She had much worse plans for Mina. But first she had to capture her in order for anything else to happen.

Maski

Seeing this woman chewing away one sweets one after another the creature licked his lips desiring the taste of such sweet delicious items. Leaping from the tree down towards this woman's newly created raft not only did he want her for his own purposes and plans of which he had for her but he also wanted the sweets she had. Leaping down he hoped his large weight would land upon this little wooden raft and smash it to pieces. His weight was being dragged by gravity downwards in front of the raft. Hopefully he would land upon the raft.

Uta & Wilfred

Wilfred saw the insect killed from his simple stab with his sharp fingers and turned back to the swordsman who'd survived the tsunami and was no suggesting they head to the Time Goes.
"That sounds like a good idea Uta, hopefully we should find it with ease and still on the island. At least I hope its still on the island. What are we going to do if its not?"

Walking off towards the center of the island where he hoped the ship would be Wilfred simply walked through any foliage and slashed with his fingers easily through the thicker foliage.

Trake & Delphi

Watching both this woman & young boy talking amongst themselves slivering closer and closer the creature lowered its head down behind a tree close to Trake with its little tongue still flickering in and out ever so quickly. As the rest of his scaly body was hidden behind the trunk the creature slowly poked his head out and slithered closer to Trake from behind and raised its head up about to bite down on Trake's head.

The back end of this creature allowed his tail to reach down from the trees and slivered towards Delphi and began slowly attempting to wrap its scaly tail around her left leg. It moved so slowly that it would barely be noticeable until pointed out or till it was too late.

((OOC: No prob Lore I was happy to try and control them not sure I did a great job but I did what I could with them ))

Mr Black frowned "Sorry I dont have anything on me that for a flare. Oh wait! I do have a little black powder. Maybe if we had a long tube like baboo or iron. We could whip together something special.... The only problem is If the tube is too weak it will explode before shooting into the sky."

Mr Black reached into his bag and handed Kyren another two purple fruits.

Maski suddenly heard a thud as something landed behind her little transport, "Huh..." She murmered as she went to check out what the sound was.

She stared at the 8 ft grey creature that seemed to have fallen on its face when it jumped, possibly trying to land on her vehicle "Hey Mister, You alright?" She yelled "I'm not going to have to give you mouth to mouth am I?"

As Uta trekked through the jungle with Wilfred, he observed his scenery. It was an extremely dense jungle. The great trees blocked most sunlight and the vines swallowed the ground. Above, Uta could hear the rain battering the leaves in the canopy. Every once in a while, he spotted shadows of animals darting to and from trees, always maintaining distance from the two intruders of the island. The shadows spoke to each other in their own animal language of low growls and hisses all unrecognizable by human ears.

There are more of them now... We must remove them...

Shortly, Uta heard a crack echoing from several hundred meters ahead. It sounded as if something large had crushed a tree with its weight. Indeed a few seconds later the sound of a tree falling scared any creatures from that area. Uta observed as the most interesting bugs and animals fled past himself and Wilfred to take to the underbrush of a safer part of the jungle. The vines too withdrew as if whatever large creature it was indiscriminately eradicated everything in its way.

"Wilfred, be on your guard." was all Uta had to say.

Mina

"Hissatsu! Acceleration Axis shot!"

Not hesitating in the slightest this time, Mina let out a shrill scream and suddenly fired two shots into the crocodile's colossal jaws, one bullet sending the other forward with lightning fast speed and force. If it hit the back of the crocodile's throat, that would be that...unfortunately, Mina hadn't been expecting such a lunge and her quivering panic through both bullets slightly off of their usually precise target.

Kyren & Mr Black

"Sounds like a plan, we'll find my ship make a flare of sorts to signal where we are then once we're all together we'll get off this island."

Kyren smiled then took the fruit from Mr Black and chomped down on it as he slashed through some vines and headed off with Mr Black in search of his ship.

Mina

The crocodile saw the shots coming her way and tried avoiding them by leaning to the left but as she did the next thing she knew a quick bullet slammed into her eye and blinded her one eye. The crocodile moved in agony as it laid back down on the ground looking at Mina through her one good eye and returned back to the water in pain with blood streaming from her wounded eye.

Maski

The creature stood back up and looked at the woman not sure of what she was saying he slammed his fists down on the ground hard and began beating his chest grunting and making other primitive noises as he charged at the woman on the crafted vehicle.

Uta & Wilfred

Wilfred heard Uta tell him to remain on his guard and nodded he took a few steps forward to try and observe the situation then looked from side to side just checking for any animals ready to attack. As he slowly crept forward the bugs which all flew past didn't bother him at all.

A large beetle charged at Uta cutting through vines from behind trees and such whilst 4 worker ants which where rather large approached Wilfred and tried grab hold of him.

As Mr Black followed Kyren he suddenly stopped and slapped his forhead in disgust. "Omg... Im so freaking stupid somtimes...."

Mr Black looked at Kyren with a dumbfound look. Reaching into his Pop green bag he pulled out some pop green's pointing at them he said.

"These Pop Greens make giant explosion's in the shae of grassy skulls. If i just fire a few of these into the air it would save us the trouble.... Omfg i cant belive i didnt think of this sooner... So wait till we find the ship right?"

"You got it Mr Black, lets find the ship first though."

Kyren was happy to hear about the pop greens even though he didn't know what they were, he still smirked at the sight of them and as they began walking along he noticed some huge worker ants crawling towards himself and Mr Black.

Kyren gripped his scalpels and looked down at the ants which stopped in their spots and looked at Both Kyren & Mr Black in hunger.

Mr Black smiled loading his pistols with the Pop greens he mintioned earler.
"Ill show you how these puppies work Mr Kyren."

Mr Black shot off 1 pop green towards one of the ants attempting to use.

"Green Star: Skull Exploding Grass": a Pop Green that explodes upon impact. It releases a large explosion in the shape of a skull.

Maski sighed, shaking her head "Dumb like every other man I've met...." she muttered. continuing to move her vehicle forward while she stared at the primate. "Whats with you and your 'despite' need of me?" she yawned, clearly bored by the ape's presence.

When the bugs came at them, Uta drew his sword and rushed his opponent, a rhinoceros beetle about the size of a large van. It moved along the ground with its head pointed downward as to position its "horn" in front of its body. Uta saw they way the beetle moved clumsily but was still wary because such a creature could kill him in any variety of ways.

When the beetle reached him, Uta ducked to his left and drove his sword into its thorax and ran it through the bug's abdomen. The cut was shallow because of the sheer thickness of the beetle's shell. Enraged, the beetle finally took to its home territory; the sky. Its razor sharp wings sliced through the treetops and it made a full circle in the sky until it came at Uta from the direction it first appeared from. It hovered between the trees straight toward him...

The four ants worked in perfect synchronization. As they made their way toward Wilfred they weaved between each other to confuse their foe. In a natural situation, this would be done to trick their opponents into thinking that the number of ants is much greater. However, from a standing man's viewpoint(Wilfred's in this case) the ants were merely running around and coming at him from any which direction.

About twenty meters before reaching Wilfred one of the four ants unwillingly triggered and fell into a pitfall. At the very bottom of the pitfall was a giant Lion Ant which proceeded to consume the unfortunate victim. So now, only three ants headed for Wilfred. Each was five feet long and a foot tall but had mandibles also a foot long. Two of the ants went for Wilfred's Legs while the third jumped for his head.

Mina
Mina watched as the crocodile retreated, her eyes low-cast and fixated on the beast until it vanished from sight again. Certain that it was gone, she finally let herself breathe normally once again and shoved her gun back into the top of her garter. She frowned, realising that her dress, stockings and garter were all rather torn and scrabby at this stage.
"But if that's what the crocs in this place are like," Mina was forced to remind herself as she hurried back on to the jungle path. "Then a dirty dress is the least of my worries."
Her heart thudding Mina travelled deeper into the jungle, not really having a clue where she was going and really only hoping to find some kind of mark of civilisation.


Delphi
It was only when she was in mid-conversation with Trake that the half-mermaid finally noticed the danger that she was in. She let out a sudden scream, feeling the serpent's long coiling tail wrap around her leg and immediately tried to shake it off.
For a fleeting, horrifying moment, Delphi thought that it might be some kind of living plant...but the knowledge that the creature that was now fast on to her leg was a snake was only barely a relief.
Desperately, Delphi kicked and flexed her leg, trying to shake the snake off but at the same time, not touching it with her hands...after all, Delphi knew as a doctor how lethal the venom of a snake could be and she certainly didn't want to provoke this one.

After fighting the ant's Mr Black was bite my a posionius one that inflicted him with hilussination's as he stumbled away from Antler he came across a small ship tripping into the boat the waves pushed him out to see for what ever adventure awaited him.
