Appearance: 9 foot3” 600 lbs “Niirohige” Is a massive man He is strong with arms and legs to match his height, Oruc is very physically strong, His strength rating has been deemed super human though his appearance is sleek and muscular His nickname “Niirohige” is derived from his Blood red hair and beard both of which are braided His hair is long and has many braided locks among the long flowing red main, His beard comes down to his mid chest in three braided tails. His eye is an almost wolfish gold. Oruc wears a dark red dress shirt the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, blue tropical patterned pants Black boots and a long Purple Captains jacket draped over his shoulders Emblazoned with his crews symbol. He wears a Purple bandana over the top of the main of red hair that reaches to the middle of his back. His missing eye is covered by a patch of blue cloth The other is a brilliant golden color. He wears a string of blue prayer beads on each wrist wrapped into 8 rows. His fingers are covered in many jeweled rings each one hard enough to stand up to even his punches thus can be used as a form of brass knuckles.During operations and public situations outside of Forge Island Oruc wears a unique Red demon mask Both to identify him as a Member of The Redbeard Pirates and later the "Crimson Ministry". The mask Oruc has chosen is The Diavolo red a simple half mask That allows his signature Braided blood red beard show through. Due to his missing eye Oruc wears his blue eye-patch over his mask.
History: Growing up in Mock town, Oruc learned to fight at an early age, beginning when his brother was killed by a pirate for trying to stop pirates from wrecking a local store. In mock town your one of two people a person who fights pirates or a person who caters to pirates. Never being one to bow down, Oruc threw himself into training every day. Already tall for his age Oruc began to take on pirates causing trouble in mock town one after the other until he took on the wrong pirate. At the age of 16 he took on a pirate captain by the name of Bartholomew Van Ruhk he fought valiantly but the man was just to strong after having his crew beat the boy nearly to death Von Ruhk decided to give the boy one final lesson. Rather than killing him feeling he was not worth the time and trying to teach the boy a lesson the pirate plucked out the boy’s eye. Left to die, Oruc was found by a beautiful young lady by the name of Lillian Roberts who dragged his near lifeless body back to her house and cleaned his wounds after days of good food and almost constant rest he was finally well enough to attempt training again he trained for days to get his old strength back and in-between while hiding out in Lillian’s he began to know and grew to love her deeply. When the next group of pirates attacked Oruc was ready for them stealing a pair of Brass knuckles on his way to the fight he found the damage his already strong punches inflicted increased vastly. He beat the crewmen with ease and then turned to face their captain it was Van Ruhk. Motivated by revenge and a desire to protect Lillian orucs strokes were like lightning, his dodges precise he had Van Ruhk on the ropes, in an act of desperation the captain picked up a new and deadly weapon It was a huge scythe backed with a large half hammer and attempted to slice Oruc in half. Oruc successfully dodged the massive blade bringing his brass knuckles at full strength up into the man’s throat breaking his neck and the man fell dead. Claiming his prize Oruc took the scythe, and began training himself with it from that day on. Two years after the defeat of Captain Van Ruhk, Oruc and Lillian were married, and a year later a beautiful baby boy was born. They named the boy Demetrius. Though he trained daily and still fought pirates who got out of hand in mock town Calico became very much a family man. Still taking it upon himself to keep the peace as much as possible in mock town resulted in Oruc, acquiring great wealth over the course of his fights for him to buy a good-sized ship a good house and every comfort for his family to live comfortably and the many massive rings that he still wears.
15 years to the day since the birth of his son Oruc lost the love of his life Lillian died of a mysterious illness that doctors told them had been wracking her body since childhood. Devastated by the loss, Oruc turned to the sea to fulfill a last request to the woman he loved after having Lillian cremated Oruc gathered his funds his beloved son Demetrius and his faithful “Minos” onto his ship and set off to see the world so that his wife can fulfill her dream of sailing the 5 oceans with him her urn is now embedded in the mast of his ship. Because of his background of fighting and planning the natural career for him seemed to be piracy now 24 his hair reaching his shoulders and his beard reaching the top of his chest the captain took to robbing merchant ships and the Redbeard pirates were born.
Two years later Calico encountered a strange man who had been marooned on an island. This dishonored doctor had been marooned here by a previous pirate crew after a rash of poisonings had been occurring on the ship. Taking pity on the man Calico took him onto the ship. In return for the timely rescue “Doctor bones” as he was called taught Calico all he knew about poisons, providing him with the poison Oruc uses to treat the blade of “Minos” and after feeding him up and letting Bones recover on the ship he dropped him off on a small populated island.
Three years later Bones was arrested for a mistaken poisoning. A teenager had robbed bones taking one of the doctors bottles he drank it later and died the bottle being traced back bones was arrested and held at the naval base of the island were his identity as doctor Maximilion Bones a pirate doctor infamous for his use of poisons.
When news of the doctor’s arrest reached Calico, the Ending Embers instantly set a course for the island determined to raise the navy base to the ground. In the early morning the Ending Embers entered the harbor of the town and opened fire sending cannonballs flying through wood and stone and the captain appeared on the docks. Striding up to the gate with a company of pirates rolling cannons as the “Ending Embers” sailed to the back of the island in range of the navy base waiting for the time their captain had set. Meanwhile at the front of the marine base Oruc gave the signal and the nine canons battered the door to the ground as the pirates streamed forward Calico leading the way. Swinging his scythe madly he cut down marine after marine his only objective to free Bones.
A ways from the marine base staying back with a small company of men to protect him, Demetrius sighed deeply he wished he was their fighting alongside his father when dark figures approached the small company. They were bounty hunters even though Oruc Insisted on his son training to become stronger the boy was not yet strong enough to beat these ruthless men. Using smoke bombs loaded with a knock out chemicals the incapacitated Demetrius and loaded him and the men who had been assigned to him into their smaller craft and sped away from the island while Oruc’s men were occupied.
Oruc was merciless his fists and scythe moved like lightning slicing and crushing marine after marine until he reached the captain. Sending his men on ahead “Niirohige” prepared to face the foe. The marine was strong built and showed no fear looking up at the pirate captain his twin blades glowing in the sunlight though determined the captain had grown soft from too many years on this peaceful island he over estimated his own strength as he attempted to block the swings of the scythe he was losing ground fast. Oruc’s strikes ground on his strength each time the captain blocked he was knocked back. The captain took his chance dodging a strike of the scythe he leaped forward plunging his swords into Orucs shoulder and stomach as he did a nick on the arm by Orucs scythe began to take effect as the man’s vision swam he pulled his swords out of the chest of the massive pirate and stumbled back, seizing his chance Oruc raised his scythe and pulled it towards him slicing the man’s spinal cord and watching with a grim satisfaction as the captain fell to the ground dead. Oruc rose leaning on “Minos as his men continued the raid freeing the prisoners as Oruc’s men began to collect their own wounded the captain began to search for his son, one of the dieing marines as one act of defiance taunted “Niirohige” telling him that he had seen the bounty hunters take his son during the attack. With his grin gone Calicos expression was enough to chill the blood as he lifted the weighted Minos and brought it down with a sickening crunch onto the chest of the marine powdering his ribcage and liquefying the organs inside he ordered those not wounded to reload the cannons they had battered the door down with and withdrew a purple communicator snail from his pocket giving the command in a grim whisper “Bring it down leave not a brick standing” on their captains orders The sound of the “Ending embers” cannons ripped through the air as the crewmates that had come ashore fired from the front. The captain watched with darkened eyes as the fort was ripped apart by the barrage of cannon fire he ordered the bodies of the marines strung up around the remains of the fort and gathered his crew making ready to set sail. He knew there was only one place the world government would send the son of a pirate once captured Impel down.
Leaving the smoking grisly spectacle behind the “Ending Embers” made its way after the bounty hunters with as much haste as could be made. When The Redbeard crew tracked down the bounty hunters the exchange had already been made this information was bought at the price of an antidote for the poison bones had slipped into their drinks. After gaining the information the captain ordered the suffering bounty hunters hung from the rafters of the inn and the Redbeard pirates disappeared into the night. Only to be confronted by another navy captain the villagers had put on Oruc’s trail as they camped.
This fellow was taller and stronger than the others, his eyes were darker his skin was pale and 5oclock shadow and ah that’s the reason red puffy eyes from crying. The Captain of the Redbeard Pirates locked onto the tears like a wolf on the scent, “So that’s it” his sadistic smile returned as the man with the axe charged at him and swung Calico blocked with some difficulty this man was strong and fierce he had lost someone in the smoking ashes of the destroyed marine base someone who’s corpse now hung from the now crumbling walls. Thinking back as he parried swing after crushing swing of the axe he recognized the face the last time he had seen its relative it had been twisted in agony as his Minos’s hammer had smashed his ribcage into powder. Oruc’s grin widened as he blocked the next swing locking the axe by pulling the blade higher than the marine could pull it down from he hauled back and swung up into the man’s ribcage Calico’s strength combined with the hard ragged edges of his jeweled rings cracked the man’s ribs and sent him flying back. Oruc had released the axe allowing it to fall with its user. The captain picked up his axe and charged forward again. Oruc decided it was time for the Gem knuckle hammer swinging his scythe backwards to give himself further momentum as the man swung down towards the shoulder of his scythe hand Oruc’s body swung dodging the axe as Oruc swung his fist forward into the man’s ribs again this time he heard sickening crunches as the axe fell from its users hand. Oruc swung again this time into the stunned and bleeding mans chin and he heard further cracks as the man hit the ground jarring his already broken ribs. Oruc took his time with the Minos’s hammer slowly breaking the man’s arms and legs one after the other joint by joint. As one mighty stroke after another fell the man’s screams filled the night before he was silenced by Oruc bringing the hammer down on the man’s ribs killing him instantly in the same way he had killed the man’s son. The Redbeard pirates hung the naval captain’s broken corpse upon the sign in the village square before sailing off again
3 years later the Redbeard Pirates took over an island on the border of the grand line without much trouble. The islanders put up little resistance as they had few soldiers and a pearl trade to protect. The arrival of the pirates and their goods and money were like a godsend. “Niirohige spent most of his earlier fortune in fortifying the islands stockade and setting up legitimate trade with travelers to finance his crews operations to this day the Redbeard Pirates use, this island as a base of operations. After laying low for a bit Oruc is preparing to put his plans into motion.
Personality: Though friendly and even fatherly at times “Niirohige” is ruthless cunning has the capacity to be cruel. He enjoys hearing of the dreams of others and readily encourages them to peruse their dream and not listen to naysayers or mockers. “Niirohige” enjoys jokes and parties he has a marvelous sense of humor and a deep rumbling laugh and has been known to sing and dance at parties if the mood strikes him. In battle he’s determined cunning cruel and relentless.
Oruc is fiercely loyal to his crew members going beyond avenging them If one of his comrades falls in battle “Niirohige” will go out of his way to make their death as grisly and painful as possible giving the rumor that his beard and hair are dyed by the blood of his enemies. A superstitious man Niirohige has a firm belief in fate believing if something happens it was meant to however he opposes tyranny of the naval officers who go bad as they are supposed to represent justice. He has no qualms about killing though he prefers only to eliminate enemies and doesn’t like taking lives that won’t bring him closer to his goal. His goal is hinged on one desire, Gain the power and the fame to become a shickibukai then demand the release of his son from the world government maximum security prison Impel down

#1. Gem knuckle duster: Using his own strength and the massive gems on his rings the user throws his full weight into the punch strong enough to crack bones or at the very least knock back any opponent that is not extremely physically strong or heavy
#2. Air cutter: The user sweeps his scythe sending a compressed blade of air
#3. Devils Windmill: The user spins the scythe increasing the speed and momentum of the blade with each turn before bringing the scythe down in either a diagonal or vertical slice using its momentum to increase the damage can be used to slice through large obstacles.
#4. Gem knuckle hammer: the user swings the weighted scythe behind him increasing the power of a swung punch using the scythe as a counterweight to increase the swing of his punch this attack is strong enough to leave a fist print in steel and if it makes contact is almost guaranteed to snap bone
#5. Reaping strike: The user arches their back lifting the scythe to prepare for the swing using both hands and bringing the scythe down in a diagonal slice with all his strength and the weight of the scythe is Ideally to cut the target in half (this attack is only guaranteed on npc’s)

Reaping hammer: The user flips the hammer scythe bringing the hammer down or into the opponent or their weapon with his full strength blunt force attack that has been known to smash stones the downside is once the sweep is initiated he has to follow through the hammer side is too heavy to change its course quickly
