Kurage Mollusco

Old Appearance

Kurage is 7 ft tall with the head like the body of a jellyfish all watery and dark purple colour to himself. He has a body which is muscular and made up of Kurage's tentacles overlapped again and again to make up body. His tentacles end at his fingers and toes. He has no hair and lime green coloured eyes which are like small beads which sit in his head and can see all around himself with ease due to his head being transparent. His tentacles are 15 ft long and he has 8 of them which make up his body. He wears his usual black shorts with a dark blue & purple coloured sun on the bottom left of them and sometimes on occasions a strawhat to cover his head.

New Appearance

Kurage now wears black shorts with a white sun in the corner has two spears which when not in use he holds in his body sort of like a spine except he uses both of them. He also wears a furry leopard print hat upon his head too.

Kurage was born on fishman island by the parents of a jellyfish woman and a merman he was born a jellyfishman and got his green eyes from his father and purple skin from his mother. He was a the bully next door kind of child growing up as he had a group of kids who would hang around him for being so strong and because he could protect them. One day when he was beaten up as a kid he was surprised and understood how all of his victims felt as his friends left him and joined the fishman who beat him up. Kurage now never wanted to be a bully again after what had happened as a child. He hated the feeling of being beaten up and never wanted his victims to feel that way again so he began standing up for them.

When the bully once again came after him with his old friends Kurage had a fight with him and beat him, the bully was ashamed and his old friends came back trying to befriend him again but Kurage refused their friendship and told them to get lost. As he grew older he grew up lonely and feeling more hatred for friendships. he had never had a proper friendship and as much as he wanted one he didn't think he could ever have one and never started looking for one. By the time he was 18 Kurage had become a strong fishman but had no trade and knew he needed one if he wanted to make a living. Looking for something he wondered into a dangerous district of fishman island and was bumped into by some pirates who were kidnapping a mermaid. As they kidnapping her he disagreed with this and used his tentacles to grab them by the legs and lifted them up. Asking what they were up to Kurage learnt they were going to sell her. Angry at this reply he smashed them into the ground killing them. The mermaid was very grateful for his help and tried to form a friendship with him.

At first he was reluctant but when she pointed out he had a stab wound from the bandits, as they were running towards him it turned out that a blade had stabbed into him. It wasn't bad but if not treated could become infected. The mermaid named Sophia offered to clean the wound for him and he accepted her help. Sophia was persistent and kept bugging Kurage to be her friend until 2 months later he couldn't be bothered to keep refusing and said that he would be her friend. Sophia was actually asking to be his friend because not only did she fancy him but also because she wanted to find someone strong to help her with plans at making a fortune. Kurage listened to her plan after 3 weeks of friendship and agreed to help her with it.

Sophia's plan was to get captured taken to Shabondy and sold at the auction house for a fortune then Kurage would rescue her from the buyer, indicating that this buyer was wealthy and rob them too. Kurage knew he was strong enough to pull this off and it worked 3 times. They made a fortune of 10,000,000 Beli and planned to do it one more time before heading off elsewhere. After every time they pulled this plan off Kurage would end up with some injuries each on he managed to get them sorted and even learnt a few things from Sophia. Before they tried it the last time Kurage asked her to teach him more of her medical skills so he didn't have to keep asking her and she agreed since he had been such a help. As the last time they pulled off their plan was put into action Kurage noticed the buyer this time was a Celestial Dragon.

When it came to rescuing Sophia from him Kurage managed to get into his home and found Sophia in a large fish bowl in his bedroom, he had grown very fond of her and seeing her in there made him angry as he thought about what he had made her do. Kurage found having a friend strange but he liked it and he wasn't about to let her slip from his fingers. Kurage smashed the bowl open waking the Celestial Dragon up he understood killing him would be dangerous so thought against it. Grabbing Sophia Kurage rushed through the corridors to escape. He noticed many marines chasing after him. They were shooting at him and he did his best to escape despite the bullets in his body. As he got out of the building he looked down at Sophia to see she was fine but a little injured. Looking at the wound Kurage saw that Sophia had been shot. She was loosing blood quickly and not going to make it. Kurage heard marines tell him he wasn't going to leave alive. He was furious at what they had done to Sophia and knocked the Marines unconscious. Sustaining bad injuries Kurage limped back to fishman island pained and badly injured. He paid for a funeral for Sophia and patched himself back up. In memory of her he wanted to learn more about medicine. After joining up with the Giovanni Pirates Kurage felt he would be able to really show off his strength here but was mistaken when during a kidnapping their Captain had planned he got into a fight with a giant which he managed to kill and managed to kid nap the princess but as he made for the escape he found his crew falling apart around him and with no orders now and nothing to do with the princess he felt anger overwhelm him at the anger towards humans and killed her.

Shortly after leaving he swam out to sea again in hopes of finally finding the Celestial Dragons who were responsible for Sophia's death. Along his travels he came across a pirate ship which he tore to pieces once spotting a human aboard it. As the ship lay in ruins floating on the surface of the water Kurage was about to turn and continue his journey when a voice called out to him and a young man began asking him why he'd done what he did. As Kurage explain his hatred to the human the human began to speak in such a way. He seemed to understand Kurage's pain and helped him over come his anger towards humans. Mutton Patch managed to show Kurage kindness and vouch for humans being nice despite the few racist ones. Feeling his anger and rage melt away it felt as if a weight was removed from his chest and Kurage allowed his previous goals to melt away. But he still felt anger towards the people responsible, the Celestial Dragons. He felt in debt to Mutton and offered his assistance in his endeavours which turned out to be becoming a Pirate. Kurage nodded and accepted this invite to the crew with open arms. He would now travel as the doctor of the Patch Pirates and use all the medical knowledge Sophia had taught him to make sure his Captain was safe. After losing Mutton to illness which he couldn't treat Kurage noticed how he lost his life and dreams.

Kurage is a lonely type of character and not very social until he finds a reason to trust them. He always puts himself ahead of anyone else unless they are important to him. He hates seeing fishmen treated badly and hates Shabondy for their rules on fishmen/women & Mermaid/men. Kurage holds grudges and will always follow orders exactly as given unless it inter fears with his own plans. He hates Celestial Dragons too and wants to kill the one responsible for buying Sophia as if he hadn't she would never have ended up dead. Kurage hates talking about his past because it makes him depressed. Kurage hated being beaten and told how weak he was in his life by Marines and other fishmen alike so he felt his whole life he had to prove his strength and always likes showing off how strong he is as he feels he is inferior even though he is incredibly strong. He wants to show off his strength and prove his worth. He wants the Marines to see him as such a strong force in the seas that they require his help so he can feel powerful and respected.

Being a fishman Kurage is naturally much stronger that a normal human.

Being a fishman Kurage is able to fight better in the water.

Shrink or grow
Kurage can manipulate his tentacles so parts of his body can grow larger or smaller in certain areas such as his fists or his arms for longer reach.

Useless Impact
Receiving a blunt blow to the head doesn't cause him any pain as his head is all liquidized like the head of a jellyfish so it doesn't hurt him and he feels no pain in it.

No Bones
Being a jelly fish he has no bones and so can't have any broken bones.

1/ Parting
When he is attacked with a melee attack he can move his tentacles to let them pass through.

2/ Tentacle Crush-
Kurage uses his tentacles to grab hold of his enemy and crush them.

3/ Removal
He can use his tentacles to grab hold of his enemies weaponry and pull it loose from their hands.

4/ Glow
He can illuminate his body to such a bright light that it can blind others.

5/ Intruder
Letting his tentacles go in through his enemies’ orifices and fill their body making the enemy squirm in pain then disposes of them by crushing his insides.

6/ Fist Grip
Making his fist larger with his tentacles Kurage punches his enemy then loosens the tentacles and grabs the enemy or enemies in between the tentacles and crushes them.

7/ Voodoo Doll
Kurage wraps his tentacles around an enemy and grips his whole body tightly with 2 tentacles around each limb.

8/ Catch
Catching an enemy in his tentacles Kurage can hold them there in his body or crush them or he can throw them from his body via the tentacles.

9/ Spear Bone
Using the spears he keeps in his body Kurage places them into a certain part of his body and allows the spears to poke through as he attacks such as going to punch someone he will cover the spears in his arms with the tentacles and punch a person allowing the spear to poke out and stab the foe.
