Name in Japanese (translation): Jouhatsu Jouhatsu no Mi/Evaporation Evaporation Fruit
Capabilities: Upon consumption, the user becomes an evaporation man; the power bestowed with this eccentric title is the ability to 'evaporate' non-living matter. This evaporation process transforms the object into a cloud that still retains some properties of the transformed object. Depending on the object, the created cloud's actual state of matter may very, however, it will always look and float like a cloud. Furthermore, any cloud conjured by this ability will always be visible (most times obviously so). The user of this fruit does not gain the ability to freely manipulate the state of matter of their crafted mists, however, they are able to interact with the fog as if it were any state of matter (and so is any tool the user is possessing); this allows the user to shove, pull, lift, toss, or carry clouds as if they were solid matter. As the user is evaporating the object they can spend extra time to create a larger mist; conversely, the user can spend time concentrating the cloud into a smaller size. When touching a cloud the user can change it's shape, however, it cannot change size except at formation.
The evaporation process is very specific; the object can only be converted if the user is the only touching it. While the evaporation process takes little time it can be halted and reversed by touching the object before it has finished evaporating. Also, the user must be directly touching the matter in question with their hands. Any object larger than a dinghy cannot be evaporated and any moving projectile that can't fit into the user's hand cannot be evaporated. At beginner level, the user is unable to manifest two clouds at one time, however, at higher tiers of ability they can summon as many as three clouds at once. A master of the Jouhatsu Jouhatsu no Mi can even spin clouds together to use them in tandem. If there is nothing inside the cloud it can be reassembled into it's original form, however, a user cannot evaporate and recreate an object in the same turn and must be touching the cloud with their hands to change it back.
Type: Paramecia
Here are two examples of possible clouds.
Rock Mist- While it appears only to be a thick, charcoal black smokescreen, the mist created by evaporating a rock is actually as solid as a rock. This ability can be used to make a wall, however, if the user is touching the mist it becomes vaporous until they break contact.
Knife Mist- This mist takes the appearance of a cloud of silvery white fog. It does not act as a solid, but anyone inside the mist who moves suffers from cuts. The severity of these gashes depends on the strength of the opponent's defenses- an armored individual would most likely be unaffected by anything but entering or exiting the cloud in high speeds. Regular skin can't completely resist the knife mist, even if the gashes do little practical damage.
