Home Village/Ocean: North Blue

Appearance:
Spoiler:

History: Andrew Luminoso was born on January 14th, on a small island in the north blue to his two Italian heritage parents. His family was highly respected as marines and from this had gained a decent amount of wealth. Andrew, even as a small child, knew he wanted to become a swordsman. Starting at five, he began training as a swordsman. He made a sword out of bamboo and began hitting dummies crafted from the same material for practice. One day, his father found him doing this and smiled at his sons ambition. It was then that his father knew that Andrew would become a great marine. His father brought him to a swordsman teacher. This teacher taught him the basics of a one sword style. He became very good at this, especially for the age of 7, surpassing boys twice his age in swordsmanship. His father, of course, bragged about this, bringing attention to the young boy. This confused him, as his brother Alex was just as strong and determined as he was to be a marine. After graduating from his masters class at 12, now being able to outdo men double his age, Andrew received a katana for his graduation. It was a red ceremonial katana that was given to his teacher (a former rear admiral) when he achieved his rank.

After his graduation, Andrew went back to his home to train on his property. Andrew then had a new goal in mind; making his own unique sword style. After about a week he made one he liked called Tandokuno Shintai. This style, however, was very demanding to use and required much speed and strength training, so for the next few years that is what he did. Monday he did a full physical workout that boosted his strength and endurance, Tuesday he did running; long distance and interval training. He basically repeated that pattern until Sunday, his rest day. He did this for the next 3 years until he was fifteen, gradually making his exercises harder. During this time, a raid to place on his property, which he helped defeat, with much ease thanks to his training, showing how much he had improved. When he turned fifteen, he was impressed on how much he had improved. He could run, in short bursts at 90 miles per hour, bench 500 pounds, take decently powerful hits and other helpful things. It was now time to start training on his style. This training was also vigorous, and helped maintain his physical stance. He also found how insanely difficult this style was. It took him one month to even be able to do his basic attack! This is what he did for the next two years until he was 17, then applied for the marines. By time all the tests and such were done, it was his 18th birthday and he was a recruit.

He quickly advanced to the title of Chief Petty officer in a month, then to Ensign in another year. He was then assigned to a crew, his first, to capture criminals. Before doing so he was required to take a few 'specialty courses' to boost his value. He chose medical, as he liked helping people. He really liked being a medic, so he stuck with it, slowly learning the trade of a doctor and eventually becoming a legal one. During this time, however, he served on a ship known as the "Great Thunder" as the captain had the Goro Goro No Mi. On one mission they were to bring down a pirate named big blue, a whaleshark fishman who used fishman karate. His captain, during a battle with the fishman's crew, was swept into the ocean by a giant wave made by fishman karate, sending everyone else on the crew to rescue him. This left Andrew alone to fight the beast. He successfully held him off until his captain got back to the ship, making the fishman run. He then earned the rank of lieutenant for his bravery. He never forgot about the fishman though, and then , two years later, convinced his captain to help him hunt the fishman down. They found him on an island in the north blue, where Andrew went to fight him, alone. After a great battle, Andrew used his most powerful attack to take down the fishman earning him the rank of commander for bringing down a criminal with the bounty of 50,000,000. After this, the marines saw his help needed in another crew and transferred him, he still doesn't know where he's going.

Personality: Andrew is a very serious person, in fact, his only real humor is the access amounts of sarcasm he uses. He won't be sarcastic with his higher officers, as he respects them. This, however, is to a point, as if his superior gives him an order he doesn't think will be helpful, he won't follow it. He being a doctor, he cares a lot about everyone in his crews health more then most. For example he is overly picky about injuries and if he thinks the person is able to fight, which can annoy some people. He is a strong believer in absolute justice and if any pirate should resist him he has no problem with killing the man. He is very fond of his sword, which he has named 'Kaze' because of how fas he can move it around. He also likes helping others (as long as there not wanted men), which is one of the main reasons he became a marine. He can also quickly process information, and has an IQ of 134, making him quite smart and an easy learner. He doesn't dislike pirates per say, just anyone who is wanted by the World Government. He also dislikes the way the government does things, and that it is a bit to corrupt, but isn't public with his opinion.

Ship: name of ship

Ship Flag: describe

Special Abilities:
Tandokuno Shintai
Translates to 'Single Movement', this sword style uses one swift movement from the time the sword leaves the sheath to the time it returns. The users hand remains on the handle of the blade the entire length of the battle, ready to parry or strike.
Above Average Strength, Endurance and Speed
Nothing special, was gained through Andrew's sword training. He can bench about 500 pounds, Punches from weaker foes don't do any noticeable damage (if they use a special style it would hurt) and he can run at about 50 miles per hour, and can run 90 miles per hour for short distances (Max 20 yards)
Basic Ittoryu
From his training as a child, Andrew will use Ittoryu if the enemy he is facing isn't very strong.

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
Tandokuno Shintai: Doro-Kizu: A basic drawslash; the user draws his weapon in front of his enemy, making a decently powerful cut on them
Tandokuno Shintai: Kassha: A basic blocking technique; the user draws his sword about 7/8 of the way out to stop any oncoming blades
Tandokuno Shintai: Sujikai The user takes their sword and performs a drawslash, then makes another cut in the opposite direction, making a 'X' on the persons body before returning it to their sheath
Tandokuno Shintai: Maru: The user unsheathes their sword and quickly performs a circular motion as the enemies blade is coming closer to disarm them, then sheaths the blade
Tadokuno Shintai: Sora: The user does a drawslash, but much quicker and with much more force, so that the combined elements of the fast slice and the sword leaving the sheath so swiftly creates a crescent shaped air blade (Overused, but effective)
Tadokuno Shintai: Hyaku Kirinuki: This attack is quite deadly, and requires study of the human anatomy; The attack is in theory 100 swift slashes on the body, that hit vital organs, causing the enemy to bleed to bleed out

Weapons/Items: Katana in the picture

Goals: Become a master swordsman

90 miles an hour? I guess that's probably slower than soru, but be decent about it please. As I'm sure you know, you're obviously not allowed to kill any PC's with that last "deadly" move of yours. Be responsible

APPROVED

(By the way, I'm preeetty sure there's no Italy in One Piece universe... Just thought I'd throw that out there)
