Name: Miyu Delaney
Age: 17
Bounty: 22.000.000
(as requested by a high ranked Marine officer, who states that she 'viciously attacked him without provocation on his part' and furthermore posed a 'thread to the government')
Species: Human
Occupation: former waitress, now fleeing
Allegiance: None, but seen by most as a pirate
Home Village/Ocean: North Blue
Appearance: Miyu is about 1, 65 meters/ 5 feet and 5 inches tall and curvy. She has big brown, almost reddish eyes and a round face. Her skin is pale, but not unhealthy looking, and her hair is white and short.
She's always wearing a wide, sleeveless, white dress that ends just above her ankles. She highlights only her waist with a dark red sash. She never, ever wears any shoes. It's just a habit she has.
(When she's in a very cold place, she might wear a coat over her dress. Still no shoes though. People wonder how she survives that.)
History:
When she was still a toddler, a merchants ship picked Miyu up. According to them, she had been floating on a wooden plank in the middle of the ocean, and Miyu couldn't remember anything but her own first name, 'Miyu', so no one questioned them. They assumed she was shipwrecked, and decided to take her to the next village they'd see.
That village was on an island somewhere in the North Blue, far too small for anyone to actually pay it attention. The townspeople, more specific an engineer, took her in and became her new family. She took his family name, 'Delaney' as her own.
When she turned old enough to carry more than one glass at a time, she started working at the local pub as a waitress, and was adored by everyone for her friendliness and gentle way of smiling. It was a quiet, but very happy life and she loved it.
The people at the pub would sometimes give her presents - the reasons for that were different- and so she wasn't suspicious when a no name merchant from South Blue gave her an exotic looking fruit (She was sixteen at the time). He actually didn't suspect anything himself, if he had, he wouldn't have given it to her after all. But this way, she just took it with her. She thought it looked cute, with its white- grayish colour and the black swirls on it. She just kept it at home a few days, since she thought it would be a waste to eat it. Then, she woke up one day and noticed she was too late for an important meeting at the towns hall.(There were a lot of those at the small town, since everyone there was like one big family and so important things were decided together) It took her five minutes to get dressed and grab the fruit (since it was the first thing she got into her hands), then she stormed out of the door. She ate the fruit on the way, not really paying attention to the taste or anything else but running.
She made it to the meeting in time, by the way.
Many weeks passed by without her even knowing about her new abilities. One day, strange men came into the pub. They weren't villagers, she could tell, since the village was small enough to know all inhabitants. There was a marine with them. Miyu didn't know that much about marines, as the town had never been a target to pirates, and thus, never a place for marines to go, but she could tell he had a very high rank by the cloak he was wearing. The strange men asked if there was a free room somewhere, and she lead them and the marine to the one free room the pub had.
When she was serving the other customers again, she thought the men might get thirsty as well, so she decided she'd bring them something to drink.
When she wanted to knock on the door though, she couldn't help but overhear a strange piece of conversation. Something about money and letting someone go. She got curious, so she eavesdropped some more. When she got that they were talking about paying the marine for freeing a dangerous pirate, and that the marine wasn't disapproving of that at all, she gasped and let go of one of the glasses she had been holding.
Of course, the men heard that and came running outside. When they saw Miyu, they got angry. She had heard things she shouldn't have heard at all.
And of course, the men didn't want anyone else to know. They wanted to, as they put it, 'silence her', and judging from the pistols they had drawn, it was clear to Miyu what they meant. The marine, who seemed to be the only one with common sense, told them to stop, but only to tell them that this wasn't the place to kill someone two seconds later.
They took Miyu outside of the town. There the men drew their weapons again.
That was when Miyu felt a fear she had never felt so strongly before: the fear of dead.
She shut her eyes tight, waiting for them to shoot her. If only there was a way to save herself... If only she'd be stronger...
Then suddenly, she heard them scream. When she opened her eyes again, she saw them being attacked by... smoke? It had already grabbed one of the men and was just trashing the marine against a tree. It looked like it hurt. Miyu felt a rush of confusion.
Where did the smoke come from? How could smoke attack anyone? And why was it attacking them anyway?
The weird thing was that the smoke seemed to be as confused as she was. It let go of the marine and stopped following the fleeing men.
That was when she noticed the smoke was coming from her. She was pretty creeped of course, and, looking at the marine, she was in deep trouble now.
She quickly decided she couldn't stay in the village, and, as much as it hurt her, took her fosterparents boat to leave, taking only a few clothes, food and a medical kit with her.
When she reached the next island she thought she was safe, but the madness only really started there. A few days after her arrival, a new wanted poster arrived at the island. It had her name on it.
She's been running from bounty hunters and marines since that day and got many opportunities to test her new powers, even though she prefers not to fight.
Personality: Miyu is, above all, one thing: incredibly sweet. She helps out wherever she can, be it caring for the sick or helping an old lady across the street. She's very compassionate and normally doesn't hurt people.
She loathes "evil" people or things, but believes that the rold, and them, is generally good at heart, and no one truly deserves death, so she mostly doesn't kill, or even fight them. Her views are also why she's so very trusting and naive, and will most likely fall for anyone who knows the first thing about manipulation. She really hates violence, but she'll do what's necessary.
She's really scared of being betrayed (being chased by everyone does that to you). She won't show anyone, but she's always hurt deeply by such incidents, and somehow never seemed to get used to it, or trust anyone less because of it. One might wonder how she could survive this long.
Ship: none
Ship Flag: none
Devil Fruit: Moku Moku no mi (smoke fruit)
type: Logia
effect:
Allows the user to generate, manipulate or become smoke at will.
However (forum rules) the user is not able to auto dodge attacks by becoming smoke.
Special Abilities: none, as she's repulsed by violence
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
Miyu has few attack moves, as she won't hurt anyone unless she has to.
White Out : The user shoots clouds of normal smoke from his arms and uses them to engulf his opponent, then makes the smoke denser to hold them in place.
White Snake : The user launches a long "snake" of dense smoke from his hand that follows the opponent until it hits and grabs them. This is sometimes followed by thrashing or throwing the foe around.
White Launcher : The user transforms themself into smoke and launches at their opponent, then re-solidifies and pins him down.
White Vine: The user transforms into a spiraling column of smoke to trap their enemies or to grab an airborne target (or, in her case, to get to the rooftops and out of sight real fast).
White ocean: an exhausting technique in which the user concentrates on filling a large area with smoke, though it is more like fog here. It cannot be used to attack, but is good for hiding in, although to make it thick enough to be invisible, an immense ammount of power would have to be brought up (Miyu couldn't handle that much, at least not yet). It needs time and concentration to be summed up, and is not something to be done just because. (time in posts is one to three, but still, not a quick attack).
Weapons/Items:
Medical kit
Goals:
-Survive
-maybe return to her village someday, but if she can't, then coming to good, or at least acceptable terms with the government would be fine with her too
