| On an unknown island somewhere in the Grandline, two men come walk the island. It's full of various species of pine trees, and the wild life is suited to it's harsh winter environment. Deadly creatures such as wolves, bears, giant hawks all walk and fly on this island. The snow fall averages a few inches a day in the "wet" season, and a minimum of three foot of snow covers the frozen tundra at all times. At this moments the snow is nearly twenty feet deep creating dangerous patches of soft snow where one would sink like quick sand. The island is no more than 10 miles in each direction from it's center. With it's rather small size aside the island is shaped in a elongated triangle with it's top point consisting of a large snow covered mountain. The mountain contains a number of animals that don't appear on the regular parts of the island. Some of these animals include; giant mountain lions, a carnivorous variation of the pine tree that uses it spines for more than protection, and a large, super aggressive mountain goat.
Jacob walked on top of the snow, it made a crunching sound beneath his feet as it compacted when his weight was applied. With his arms crossed he shivered trying to keep his body as warm as possible. Although with the temperature being a balmy -10 degrees at it's highest, no matter how many layers he wore or how much he shivered he still felt the discomfort of the cold. Looking down the sun reflected off of the snow causing him to see spots until until he put his sun glasses on. With a sigh Jacob trudged on, the cold almost making him forget why he came to the island in the first place. On top of the peek of the mountain there was a legendary sword. His goal was to claim said sword, with it he would be strong enough to protect hi nakama from anything that came their way.
"Ah hell I need to find that sword soon or I'll freeze. Sigh, shit...Where the hell is that damn mountain!?!?" exclaimed the swordsman.

| "The mountain isn't what you should be worried about, thug." The man spoke with a resounding, hostile growl. His jaw was clenched; a kin to a beast on the hunt, he was showing his fangs. No matter how much the cold bore down on his body he would show no frailty. Aside from goosebumps across his skin, there were no signs the temperature had effected him. He took a step toward his target. He still was not within striking distance yet directly in Jacob's field of vision. "I do not know the specifics on your actions, but I do know you've spit on Justice. Such an offense I will not overlook." The crunch of the snow under Johnson's foot was loud, almost obnoxious. He stepped several steps to his left and stared straight at Jacob. "As a formality, I shall introduce myself to you. I am Johnson Quick, a Marine Captain. You need not introduce yourself," Johnson looked down to the necklace hanging around his neck, reading the words inscribed on it. With his right hand he slowly raised the ring to his lips. Whispering to himself, he pleaded earnestly "May I be swift and righteous," and kissed the ring. Afterwards, he promptly stuffed the pendant down the collar of his shirt.
Johnson ran his hand through his dreadlocks, shaking out several flecks of snow from his greasy 'do. With all his pre-battle rituals complete he was ready to apprehend the perpetrator. "Do not deny your guilt; you are a pirate and as such must at least be processed and gaoled. You will not necessarily be executed, but if you resist, you will find your survival rate decreases quickly. Talk is cheap, make your decision." With that statement Johnson closed his mouth and racked his brain for combat. He did not know what his opponent would do, but he doubted there would be a peaceful outcome. He preferred battles though; there is no better form of training nor assessment for a man such as he than an authentic battle. This island would soon be rocked by a quarrel most excellent, Johnson could feel it in his bones. |

| "A marine aye? You followed me all the way out here? It's a crying shame that such a dedicated man such as yourself will only find a frozen grave waiting for you." Jacob said before he turned around to face the man. "Despite what you said, I like to introduce myself before battle, call it a crazy honor thing I picked up from my home land." Jacob said looking down for a moment. "That is, before the likes of you destroyed that nation. Men, woman, children, none of that matters they were all killed because their ancestors were dangerous. Sigh, that's ancient history though and no concern of yours." said Jacob finishing his ramblings. "My name is Jacob "Tri-Blade Cob" Suchiru." said the swordsman introducing himself.
Getting into fighting stance Jacob pulled his largest blade, the sword had two slots with both slot filled with strange dials. Jacob stared down the foe looking for any physical weaknesses before witnessing his before battle rituals. Clearing his mind Jacob looked around what would be the battle field making sure to memorize the locations and structure of all nearby trees. Anything that could give him and edge he would most certainly use in this type of situation. Confident he had a grasp on the area Jacob pulled his sword backward and slashed downwards send out a small blade of air from the edge of his sword.

| Johnson ignored the multitude of words Jacob had sent his way, paying attention only to the name he had been given to remember. He saw his opponent draw a blade and fire an air blast. Johnson did not stop to marvel at the impressive nature of that strike, instead he simply drew up a puddle of glue in front of him. Almost instantaneously the puddle of glue formed into a wall in front of him, blocking the attack. On impact, the barricade was shoved back towards Johnson. He stopped its movement and made it flip; now it lay horizontally at his ankles. He stepped aboard the slender wall and levitated it into the air slowly. He took a mental note of his enemy's ranged capabilities; they could be rather troublesome. He was floating five feet off the ground when he prepared his attack; rapidly an orb of white fluid formed in front of his hand.
It hardened as swiftly as it formed, turning into a large ball. He shoved his palm forward and the sphere blasted out like a gun shot. The cannon ball soared at Jacob's right knee; a direct hit would knock his target off balance or more likely, into the ground. The forming of the strike telegraphed its movement, but the bullet still had high speeds. This move was to size up his opponent; Johnson wanted to know if his opponent possessed defensive capabilities comparable to his attacks. The area made Johnson frustrated as he knew he couldn't use his sticky paper trap on Jacob, and that was one of his favorite techniques. |

| Jacob wasn't surprised when his attack did no damage, if it had the battle wouldn't have been any fun. Despite failing to do damage it did what Jacob wanted it to do, it gather information on his foe. Jacob now knew his opponent was a devil fruit user. This fact compelled him to pull out his seastone blade, one he won from a marine captain a while back. Jacob not only obtained a blade that day, he also obtained an oath. His oath to the dying man was to kill all devil fruit users he came across that tried to do him harm. Before this Jacob would have considered letting the man go if he had won the battle. However this wasn't Johnson's lucky day if he were to loose to Jacob.
An orb of what seemed liquid one moment condensed and began to soar at Jacob. It wasn't anything especially dangerous and wasn't aimed for a vital. So Jacob figured the foe was now trying to find out what his defenses were like. With a stern diagonal slash Jacob slapped the cannonball like object away from his body with his large sword. After the none to revealing counter Jacob charged Johnson closing the gap in between the two. Within range Jacob took a couple of quick jabs with the seastone blade before finishing with a large slash with his largest weapon. The finishing slash was a bit stronger, if it missed the marine directly it would send out a vertical airblade heading directly in front of Jacob himself.

| Johnson jumped back from his flying carpet and dropped it into Jacob's attacks. It protected him from the danger of his attacks but as the blade made contact, his platform disintegrated into nothingness. Johnson observed the way his construct had disappeared and came to the simple conclusion his opponent was using a seastone blade. Now, he had a new priority; keeping his enemy on the defensive so he could stay clear of threat. A different man would've smirked knowing the secret that Johnson knew, that a cannon ball could be re-aimed and fired a second time mid-air. He had a plan to keep Jacob on his toes.
He formed another sphere, but this time he was also adjusting the aim of his previously fired attack. The original cannonball launched out again, this time targeting Jacob's skull. A moment after the first shot, Johnson's newly formed missile launched itself toward his target's right knee. He had figured something out; if he reused every cannonball he would have an advantage. He could force his opponent to switch to a defensive pose and strike both projectiles away. Johnson smelled the pungent odor of hostility in the air, it welcomed him in a way nothing else could. As the battle began he could feel an abnormal tingling in his right arm, like low-voltage electricity flowing through the entire limb. Johnson panted in excitement. His body heated up from adrenaline and the goosebumps on his skin disappeared. There's a certain thrill risking your life for justice had, and Johnson was enraptured in it at the moment. |

| Jacob was surprised to see that his blade was able to destroy the carpet so completely like that. Never before had he fought a devil fruit user with such a weakness to seastone, if only it would work that way on the logia user he truly wanted to kill. Well at least this was a good thing for the moment, however if he really wanted to kill Payne he would have to end Johnson first. Now if the man was truly a logia user he would be able to reuse the cannonball from earlier. This caused Jacob to take a look in the direction he had slapped it away in.
When Jacob seen the man reusing his original attack with a new one he wasn't all that surprised. It seemed the marine was going to try and slowly overwhelm him with flying orbs the size of cannonballs. With the seastone blade Jacob blocked the attack heading for his head causing the ball to crumble into nothingness. Again using his largest sword Jacob hit the cannonball heading for his knee. Jacob kept an eye on the cannonball making sure he would know when Johnson tried to use it again. With his foe's attacks defeated for the moment Jacob went to counter with attacks of his own.
"Namikaze Flash! Rejection Backlash!"
Using a technique from his old home land Jacob disappeared from view only to reappear less than a foot away and directly in front of Johnson. With his sword raised above his head Jacob slashed his large sword downwards. Releasing 10x's the energy of the two cannonball attacks combined with all of the power Jacob put into the attack. This created a powerful shockwave along with the already deadly power of the massive sword being swung. If the attack was a direct hit it would certainly kill the marine plus some.

| Johnson reacted instantly to his opponent's attack with a wall, directly in front of the strike. He pushed the wall forward, causing the shock-wave to clash with it. Half of the strike was pushed back towards Jacob, but still the door was knocked toward Johnson with the other half of the force. He juked left, dodging the incoming glue barrier. Now Johnson could see his opponent had a few moves of his own, but Johnson had no fear. He was compelled by the vary spirit of Justice itself, and now that he was blessed by such a power he could not shame it with failure. It was time for another attack, one far stranger than the vanilla cannon ball.
Johnson raised his palms up to the sky, as if he wear hoisting some sort of heavy load off the ground. A large pool of glue formed above his hands; the puddle floated there for the briefest of moments before rapidly raising even higher, positioning itself above Jacob. At the same time Johnson prepared his cannonball for a second shot aimed at Jacob's knees once more. Johnson snapped his fingers and the puddle dropped. A small shower of goo fell down toward's his opponent's position and the cannonball blasted out. There were many dangers heading to Jacob, but Johnson had a strange feeling he wouldn't struggle too much with avoiding it.
Johnson stopped to consider his next move. He had a basic ploy really, force his enemy into wearing himself down before going in for closer range attacks. |
