Appearance: She has white skin, hazel eyes, long brown hair that goes down to hip, long eyelashes, rosy lips. She's 170 cm tall, weights 50 kg. Uses a long white coat, a short sleeved red t-shirt beneath it, and blue jeans that are tight. She uses White-n-black converse shoes. She has a mole below her lips on the left side. She also wears a black fedora hat sometimes on her head.
History: Mariana grew up with a warm family, her dad was a former pirate, and her mom used to work on a bar as a waitress. Her childhood was really nice, she had 2 brothers, who were older, and 2 brothers that were younger, being the only girl she was her dad's favorite. Her dad and mom were nice and had also a nice relationship.
When Mariana turned 6 her dad started to talk to her about the pirates, the world government, the marines and all she should know, the devil fruits, rokushiki and stuff like that. She was nice to all her older and younger brothers, though that's one of the reasons why she grew up to be a tomboy. She also, ever since then, wanted to become a pirate, since it was 'awesome'.
She liked to practice how to use the katana with her brothers, the older ones, who trained in a dojo, her father, seeing that she liked this, made her enter the dojo as well, she trained hard, and eventually used the nitoryu, which started when she turned 10, she was one of the best of the dojo, along some other people who were strong, but she even defeated her older brothers, who were whinny about it for a time and said it was only because they wouldn't like to defeat their own sister, who was a girl.
Anyway, she liked the katanas, she loved them, so she started training with them a lot, daily, she trained since the sun came up, then had lunch, trained again and then went to sleep. She practiced nitoryu, santoryu was something she wanted to try but her father only gave her the permission to start training with 3 katanas when she turned 13, which was more than enough.
Being outstanding on the dojo, the owner congratulated her and gave her his favorite katana, it didn't have any special power but it was still awesome, and really sharp, some said that it was indeed REALLY sharp. She practiced with it, and her other katanas, and then she decided. She was going to be a pirate, and join a crew.
She talked about this with her older brothers and father, who at first didn't agree since she was a girl and all, but Mariana, being Mariana, she ended up making them agree, considering that she was stronger than them, a girl, stronger than guys with 18-20 years, yes.
So her father gave her some tips, she should work before sailing as a pirate, since she would need money at first. She then needed a ship, but then again her father had one, and he was going to give it to her. And she would need to find a cool crew.
Mariana took her dad's advice and started working when she turned 15, she worked for a year and had enough money to become a pirate. She said goodbye to her parents and brothers, the younger ones, and left with her older brothers. They stayed together for some time since they wanted to protect Mariana at first, but then after one year, they returned home as they had promised.
Mariana, with 17 years, is now looking for a crew to join.
Personality: Mariana is nice to children, elders, and people in general, though she wants to become a pirate. She will be loyal to her captain and won't stand other people wanting to hurt her crew members, she is quiet sometimes but generally loud and tomboyish, she likes to play things as well, she's not girly, at all, and likes to make jokes about stuff like that (she not being girly and all).
Special Abilities: santoryu(nitoryu and ittoryu as well), box/muay thai(only a little).
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
- Ittoryu Iai: Shishi Sonson: Placing the sheathed sword upright and listening to the "breath" of her opponent, the attack rapidly unsheathes, attacks, and sheaths the sword.
- Sanjuroku Pound Ho: This attack uses the air itself to slash the target from a distance. To initiate it, Mariana first holds one of her swords horizontally above the shoulder of her sword arm, and then performs a circular swing that launches the air compressed projectile spiraling towards the target.
- Hiryu: Kaen: Using one sword wielded in her left hand with her right hand gripping her left wrist for support (or vice-versa), Mariana jumps high up into the air and slashes her opponent. After slashing them, Mariana's opponent then bursts into flames from where they were slashed.
- Ittoryu: Yakkodori: Mariana launches from her sword a crescent moon-like projectile of compressed air to the opponent with great speed, similar to 36 Pound Hou.
- Taka Nami: While airborne, creates a powerful gust of wind to knock opponents over.
- Sai Kuru: Mariana holds her swords in front of her pointing up, like rhinoceros horns, and spins quickly.
- Nitoryu Iai: Rashomon: A dual sword drawing technique so powerful that it can split large obstacles in half. Mariana draws her swords, and sheaths them quickly, able to split two train carriages in half.
- Nanajuni Pound Ho: Same principle as the 36 Pound Cannon. Holding her two swords horizontally above the shoulder, Mariana then performs a circular swing that launches two air compressed projectiles spiraling towards the target instead of one, making it twice as powerful.
- Oni Giri: A three-way simultaneous slashing attack. Mariana crosses her two swords across her chest and places the blade in her mouth horizontally behind them. Mariana then approaches the target (usually at high speed) and cuts through by swinging the swords across her chest, resulting in a descending diagonal-crossing slash from both swords while the mouth blade performs a horizontal cut from either the left or right, depending on which side of her mouth she positioned the sword's main blade at.
- Tora Gari: Mariana puts her hand swords over her mouth blade and swings forth a forward descending slash with them. At close-range, this can incapacitate at least two average foes at once.
- Santoryu Ogi: Sanzen Sekai: Mariana holds two of her swords at an angle against each other and rotates them rapidly while running towards her opponent to create momentum; she then slices up the foe with full speed and power.
- Toro Nagashi: At a close range, Mariana leans toward the opponent, using two of her swords to block the opponent's attacks while twisting her body around as she is continuously moving to approach and dodge other attacks (if there are any) and eventually cutting through the opponent's stomach with the third sword.
- Ushi Bari: Mariana executes a multi-hit running attack with two swords held out like a bull's horns.
- Gazami Dori: All three swords are horizontally parallel, suddenly clamping down on the target like a crab's claw for a guillotine like effect that would normally cut a person's head off.
