Serious: The Milky Way Pirates Chapter 2: misadventures on board, hello Orange Town! (CLOSED)

Lawrence's tail thumped the ground as he was pet. Already he liked this fishman. Even though he acted self-absorbed, he didn't seem to be a bad guy. Not to mention he remembered Lawrence's nickname so that was always a plus.

Avery looked over at Arianne as she spoke. He squeezed her hand and nodded before starting to walk towards the ship.

"Alright," he said. "She'll probably be in the kitchen if it's time to eat. So let's head down there first."

Suddenly Avery's heart began to beat faster. It was different from the times before when he was close to Arianne. He was still excited, but this time it more because of his excitement in seeing the crew again. Once he had resigned himself to the fact that he and Arianne would not be on their own together, he actually found the idea of being with the others appealing.

Avery grinned. "Heh...I'm actually looking forward to seeing everyone again," he commented to Arianne.

Arianne delicately smiled. "That's good to hear...If I'm honest, I am too."
Truthfully, the young scientist normally did the best she could to avoid idle prattle and general idiocy but there was something about this crew that both amused and intrigued her. She wasn't used to having a large group of friends but that wasn't to say that she was adverse to the idea.
Also, observation of the Devil Fruit users was vital to her studies. Not to mention, Avery's presence was seriously improving her mood. Even if she couldn't be alone with him again, just yet, she could still be with him, in a large group.
Arianne walked to the kitchen with Avery, the first person meeting her eyes to be Genshi. She smiled to the cook. "Hello there, Mr Genshi."

Genshi slowly turned his head to face his recently present crew mates. His hands were covered in solid clay to help cease the burning, needless to say, it wasn't very effective. Nonetheless he waved, afraid that other strange sayings would leave his mouth. He also pointed to the food and made an eating motion. Eh, Saying hello couldn't possibly hurt.

"Hey guys, how's life?" he asked, despite knowing precisely how life was.

Seems as if his speech control returned to him.

Alek saw Daisuke sit down across from him and began to ask him what his role to the crew was. "Well, I fix ships. Not much else I can do." There wasn't really much to say about himself and his role, cause that was pretty much all that he can do. He can cook, but Alek was sure gruel every meal was a bad thing. He was sure the stranger would understand, more or less. Then he saw Avery and Arriane walk in in the kitchen. It was nice to see the guy all patched up and healthy again. "So, uh, stranger....Why are you such a...bitch to everybody?" Alek had tried to choose his words wisely but it came out as that. He knew Daisuke would surely blow a fuse in his brain any time now. Any time now....

Upon hearing those words put together to form a sentence, Daisuke stood up in a flash knocking his chair back a bit. His fingers began to be coated with chocolate until it looked like he was wearing a claw glove. "You should watch what you say with me, for one day you might wake up dead or not wake up at all. I will kick your ass so hard, the impact will be felt after you've died!" Daisuke was doing some hand motions while speaking and had a very harsh tone that could be figured out in a snap. Sure, he knew he was kind of a bitch to everyone but emotions are what will bring you down in the battlefield. Hesitate for a moment and your chance of losing your head will increase tenfold. The chocolate that formed the claw started to concentrate into a knife before Daisuke stabbed said knife into the part of the table Alek was sitting behind. Daisuke let out a deep breath before taking his chair and sitting down. Seems like people are out to just get on his nerves today, or maybe he was just too angry.

Avery, regretfully, stepped away from Arianne for a moment to look around the kitchen. It did not look like Saki was in the room. That was strange. Where else would she be but with her crew? Maybe she was tired or something. In that event it might be better if they did not bother her right now. Still, she needed to know that they were back so if she wasn't asleep.

Avery stepped back to Arianne and reached over to take her hand again. "Maybe we should go look for Saki somewhere else. She hasn't gotten here yet...then again, that could mean that she is just on her way so we could stay."

As Grudge followed after the couple down to the kitchen he instantly smelt Genshi's cooking, and as a result imedietly asked; "Hey chef dude, whipped anything up for me to eat?", before watching the sudden out burst from Daisuke, prompting Grudge to say the wrong thing. "Wow calm down dude, if you wanted to eat before me i'm cool with that, especialy since I just rocked Orange Town. Man best gig for a while." He then looked around for a few moments before realising that quite a large amount of the crew was missing, but merely shrugged and sat down at the dinning table.

Alek saw the man quickly dissolve from the rage as quickly as he finished boiling. Alek found it weird at first bu then began to feel bad for what he did. After all, Daisuke probably could be misunderstood and wants to be happy but can't cause of some trauma regarding his past and other stuff like that. But it's not like he can just walk into the past and change it, cause stuff like that could never exist. "Do lighten up, I apologize for what I've said. I'm just experimenting with emotions right now." Then Alek began to eat the stuff that Genshi cooked while in his adrenaline rush. Still tasted like food so he guessed that beggars can't be choosers.

Arianne looked up at Avery as he took her hand, giving him a gentle smile and delicately tugging him to sit with her at the table of the kitchen. "Perhaps we should just wait a little longer for Saki-sama to make an appearance here. After all, the ship hasn't cast off yet. Saki will have to return here before the ship departs and when she does, we'll see her then."

She looked over to Genshi, smiling at the Devil Fruit user and bowing her head formally. "Hello there, Mr Genshi. Buenos dias. How are you? Thank you for asking. I hope you're well. Is there any chance that you might be able to set two more places for lunch? Avery and I are starved and to be honest, I've missed your cooking quite a bit."
She noticed some strange behaviour in the cook, but deciding not to be rude, she didn't point it out.
"La vida? La vida es dulce...voy a tener suerte, Senior Genshi." Arianne rested her head against Avery's shoulder, one hand resting on his thigh, her other hand resting on his own hand and her knee gently nudging his leg. She looked up at him with a slightly wider smile, enjoying his warmth. "Life is sweet...I feel lucky, Mr Genshi..."

Daisuke looked at the fishman and all of his ego clearly floating around him and said, "I don't even know who the fuck you are so don't go and talk to me like you're known worldwide." He gave the fish freak a deep frown and turned to the fixer guy. He sighed and ignored him after he finished his sentence. Daisuke has done enough talking for one day, so he was going to keep his mouth shut for the rest of the evening until sunrise or after. He took the knife out of the table and ate it. Then he began to eat the food the cook made. He hasn't eaten in a while and he is still indulging himself in some of the friendly staff that has been supplied on this ship.

Genshi was happy that his crew enjoyed his food, that was a good sign. He brought two more plates of food and placing them before Avery and Arianne. It seemed Daisuke was feeling rather negative. Genshi began washing his hands and thinking of a way to calm down the negative man. He had one:

"Hey guy, calm down. Grudge doesn't mean any harm, besides were all friends here. No need to get aggravated." he said, walking over to him, patting him on the back and smiling in that order.

Avery allowed himself to be directed towards the table. After sitting down, he felt Arianne moving closer to him. Close enough that she was able to lean her head on his shoulder. This public display of affection might have embarrassed Avery previously, but after having kissed Arianne openly in the middle of a busy shipyard, Avery now felt only a little heat rising in his cheeks. Thinking that her actions deserved a response in kind, Avery leaned over and kissed her lightly on the top of her head. Then he winked at her before looking back at Genshi as Arianne was talking to the cook.

Her words towards Genshi reminded him once again that it was time to eat. Avery did feel a little bit hungry after having spent twelve hours sailing nonstop. And now, back with the crew, he suddenly found himself falling back into his old routines and a little bit of cockiness returned to his stance. He leaned back in his chair and slid his hand out of Arianne's. He instead slipped it around her shoulders as he began smirking at the cook.

"Yes, we two battle-weary travelers need something to eat," Avery said. "You can thank us for clearing up the mess that you guys left back in Windmill Village. Turns out there were a few more bandits than we originally thought. Tougher ones, too. Isn't that right, Lawrence?"

Avery's pet, who had followed them into the kitchen, gave a "Woof!" of agreement. He walked over to Genshi and looked up at him, wagging his tail in what he thought was a cute way. Perhaps he would get some treats if he kept this up. Even if he didn't, he knew that Avery would be more than happy to share some of his food with him.

Avery nodded at his dog as if that one sound meant much more than it had. "You're right, Lawrence. They were not just tougher. They were like giants...only not quite as big and...eh, what am I saying? There were only about thirty of them and most of them were pushovers. There was just this one idiot who had more pride than sense and..." Avery paused. He had been about to mention Slavo, the bandit boss that Arianne had killed, but then he had remembered how Arianne had reacted after killing him. But Avery couldn't turn back now. "...and there was their boss, who was really strong as well," he said quickly. "Anyway, what's for lunch? It smells great."

Genshi looked down at the dog staring at him, was he hungry too? That was most likely it. He grabbed a smaller piece of meat and placed on a plate, putting it near the dog and giving a pat on the head.

"Well, it's a lean steak and pasta dish. It does ya good!" he said, releasing a loud cackle.

Genshi felt a sudden shock in his body. He felt his body going more and more numb by the moment. Was the vigorizing shot wearing off already? Well it was time well spent. If he was correct, the needle gunman said he'd pass out, oh well, he chose to take the bullet. Genshi undid his ponytail ad let himself fall backwards, hitting the ground with a 'thud', losing more and more of his consciousness by the moment. Eventually falling unconscious.

Alek was still eating his food when he saw Genshi collapse on the floor. That was obviously never a good sign. "Ohhhh, that's not good....I'm just gonna...take him to his bed. And stuff." He put down his dish and started to carry Genshi out of the kitchen, but eventually dropping him on the floor with a hard 'Thud!' "Crap, hope no one noticed..." Alek looked around to see if anyone was watching. No one, that was good. Then he grabbed Genshi by the legs and started to drag him to his room. After he got the unconscious cook to his room, Alek picked him up and dropped him on his bed. "...Good enough..." he said with a shrug before leaving. Now he was back in the kitchen resuming the part where he was eating his food.

Saki Star was in a deep trance, she was thinking, like never, about everything, she was tired of being so..weak, she didn't notice everything that was going around her because she had been too concentrated in thinking, organizing her ideas and everything, she had forgotten about the visitor, who wanted to talk to Getto, she had also ignored the later who had asked where his room was, talking about that Saki had forgotten to assign the rooms and everything, which was something she shouldn't have forgotten, but her being Saki, happened.

Unlike most of the people, Saki had great concentration skills, specially when she really wanted to organize her ideas and things like that, She was planning something, something big, but she still didn't know how exactly to make it happen, since not all the crew were there and she needed them to tell her their abilities so it would be easier for her to plan it, in the end she decided to put aside the abilities part and plan it in an easier way that would take less time and also wouldn't be so complex, although it was still pretty cool.

She decided that she would find pirates and marines to train her crew members with, they would get a bounty after getting some marines slaughtered or just beaten.. and it would help them later on when they wanted to be famous, because Saki had big plans for her crew. She also decided what she was going to do in the gap of a year.

She planned to go to different islands and train before heading to the Grand Line, which would be really good and it was a really wise choice from her part, since heading to the Grand Line with the level most of the members, not everyone but most of them, had, was like going directly to their death. It would be stupid and reckless, and Saki wasn't ready to die, nor to make her crew members die, she wasn't ready for something as big as the Grand Line, she had heard that only the most powerful pirates went there, and that not even everyone came back.. only some did, which was scary for Saki, although she still wanted to go, she was a pirate, so it was kind of like an obligation.

In the islands there would be a really intensive training for her crew, they would get ready for what the Grand Line had ahead for them, even if they didn't exactly know what the Grand Line was like, they still feared of it and weren't exactly ready for it, She knew that the training would leave them exhausted, but there would be a month or so for relaxing before a quick spar in between them so they would be ready for the Grand Line. Saki hoped that that would be enough for them, she wasn't sure, as there were a lot of factors that could change her plan, just as the leave of some members and other people joining her crew, because it may take more time to train them, unless the other members who are stronger would also train them in their free time so it would be better.

In the end Saki decided on that plan, she was happy that it had came out so good, since she usually wasn't good at planning stuff, like how she didn't plan for people to enter her crew, not so many people at almost the same time anyway, she hadn't expected nor planned to find love, Youri, and other things.

Talking about Youri, Saki was kind of sad because he had left, some reasons on being going to become a Shichibukai, Saki was scared at first about him becoming a Shichibukai, but then he told her that he would not fight nor harm her, ever. Which made Saki really happy, she knew that she could trust him, she would obviously try to not make him be in danger by making him impartial or something like that, because Saki wasn't like that, and she would not accept help or something like that, because it would mean she didn't completely deserve it, therefore she shouldn't have it, and that's something Saki doesn't like.

She really wanted him to come back as soon as possible, she missed him too much, even if she knew it wasn't really good to have a long-distance relationship, she just couldn't help the feelings she was developing towards Youri, it just happened, without planning, and Saki was happy about it, she just wasn't used to having those feelings nor having those feelings being reciprocated, which meant this was Saki's first romantic relationship, she was really inexperienced, and was already dreaming about things that she could do with Youri, like walking on a beach, holding hands, and things like that which would seem really cliche and stuff.

Getting back to reality, Saki opened her eyes, which she had closed unconsciously, and looked around her, confused of everything that had happened and not knowing exactly what to do, Saki smiled at everyone that were present and then thought about something. 'Where's Kiba? I thought he wanted something from Getto.. Oh right Getto he was talking to me, wasn't he?' And then thinking about that, Saki turned to Getto, who was standing near her.

"Getto, just the guy I needed! Well, your room will be assigned later, sorry for not having assigned the rooms before, it's just that everyone joined so fast and everything.. I kind of didn't have the time to do so.. Sorry, really" she said talking as slow as she could, she knew that Getto might have easily spent an hour standing next to her as she thought about random stuff and her plans for the crew's future. Although she hoped that he wasn't mad, because Saki didn't like making her crew members mad. She was like that.

"Ah and someone called Kiba, who is in the ship at the moment, wanted to talk to you, if I'm not mistaken, he wanted a bullet from you, that's all I know, but you should look for him and ask him for details" she said with a big smile, she hoped that everything was alright and that no one had destroyed her ship.. yet, because knowing her crew, Saki knew that they would have either destroyed a wall, pierced through it, or something that must mean "damage" towards the ship, because they were just THAT destructive, for some weird reason.

Then she remembered that she should speak to the rest of her crew about her plans so breathing in and out, and then in again, Saki screamed: "EVERYONE PART OF THE MILKY WAY CREW COME TO MY OFFICE RIGHT NOW, EXCEPT GETTO WHO HAS SOMETHING TO DO, NOW COME!!! EVERYONE COME!!" she hoped that most of the crew who were in the ship were able to hear her, since she basically yelled with all her strength, it looked like Saki would be screaming a lot from now on, which somehow didn't bother Saki in the least, she was pretty much happy with her crew, she thought they were awesome, and that eventually they would become like a family, she hoped so at least.

She had great plans with this crew, and she hoped she would get to accomplish them.

Avery winced at the sound of Saki's shouting and Lawrence let out a mournful howl. They both really hated loud noises, though Lawrence was especially susceptible for obvious reasons.

"Sounds like we had better get going," Avery commented drily. He stood up and stretched. "And here I was looking for to a nice few minutes of R&R. Oh well. Come on Lawrence. No, you can't bring that with you."

Lawrence, who had been attempting to carry his plate of food along with him, dropped it and scowled at Avery as best he could with his canine features. Avery scowled right back, but his expression cleared up significantly as he turned to Arianne.

"Do you want to just stay here and eat?" Avery asked her. "I can tell you later about what Saki has to say."

Arianne thanked Genshi for the food and started to eat but paused immediately and blinked at Saki’s announcement. Looking up at Avery with a reassuring gaze, she shook her head.
“That’s a very gentlemanly offer of you, but I’d think it best that we both go to listen to what our Captain has to say. I’m also overdue a chat with Saki-sama,” she noted, standing and taking his hand with a delicate smile. Truthfully, she wasn’t used to smiling so often but then again, she had never been in love before. And that wasn’t to say that Arianne Greyson didn’t quite enjoy smiling so much either.
She looked to Lawrence and stooped a little to pat his head. “Hmm, well if he’s so hungry, perhaps our own dear “captain” here could stay and eat. We could always give him the significant news later...and he’ll only get bored, lying around in Saki’s office.” Arianne laced her fingers with Avery’s. “What do you think?”

Getto saw Saki daydream for a long while... yeah, he didn't know what she was thinking about, but she had COMPLETELLY ignored him... and Getto didn't like that. Then Saki came back to herself and talked to him, excusing herself for not having assigned the rooms and everything. She also said that a guy called Kiba was looking for him, he wanted a bllet or something... yeah, that was weird.. but well, he walked out of saki's room when she started shouting for everyone except him and Kiba... yeah, that was something disturbing.

Kiba... yeah, he didn't know who he was... so he started walking around the ship until he saw a guy talking in a den den mushi, it could be him, the man he had talked with before entering Saki's room.

"hey, are you Kiba?" -Getto asked very seriously.

Between Lawrence's annoyed expression and the soft skin of Arianne's hand in his, Avery readily agreed by nodding vigorously. Lawrence let out a snort of satisfaction and returned to his food.

"Yeah, good point," Avery replied. "Larry doesn't really care about stuff like this anyway." He started for the door, going slowly at first so that if Arianne wanted to do something else, he wouldn't accidentally drag her along. "Huh, I wonder what she has to say," Avery murmured.

There were many things Saki might tell them. Perhaps she wanted to introduce the crew to each other. Or maybe she wanted to announce her plans for the future. In any case, Avery figured it was important that they get there. Eventually. Avery started to grin as he thought about the young woman next to him, but he quickly restrained himself. Allowing his emotions to control him and attempting to take a "detour" with Arianne would not be the best thing to do right now. They had just gotten back and it was important that they let Saki know that. Not to mention, Avery didn't want to seem too demanding to Arianne.

Saki was tired of waiting for everyone to get to her office, it seemed like they were doing things and were busy. Saki kinda felt like stop her plans in Orange Town and head to training for once and all, since it wasn't really that big anyway, her plans in Orange Town. She sighed and tried waiting for a minute, but when that minute was over and she got impatient, Saki shook her head and left her office, passing by Arianne and Avery.

"It's nice to see you guys are back, I hope you're feeling better Avery. And I just have to tell you that we're sailing soon. We're going to have a hard training for a year and then head to the grand line, we'll be talking soon enough, I got to speak with the others as well" she said quickly, not giving them time to answer or even react, and once she had finished speaking she continued walking.

Going to each and every member in the crew that were in the ship, she hoped they were everyone and that she wasn't going to leave someone in the town, she wouldn't like that at all. She told them about her plan and that they were sailing soon to another villages and towns to practice really hard and that in one year, after they were stronger, they would go to the grand line. Just like with Avery and Arianne, Saki didn't let anyone even react to her plans, she was the captain and she didn't really need to explain it, she wanted to though because she was nice and really cared about her crew members, even if she had met them not so long ago, and wanted to.

She eventually, after having finished telling everyone about her plans, went to Kiba and told him that the guy besides him was Getto Diffot and that if he wanted the bullet he should do it now, since they were sailing soon, he had little time, after doing so Saki went to the deck and looked at the horizon, the sun that was setting down, she couldn't help but to think about Youri, wondering what he was doing at the time, she missed him so much.

So officially the second thread of the Milky Way Pirates is OVER/CLOSED, except for Sleepy, Rodoku97 and I who need to post something about the bullet thingy and the alliance between Milky Way and Steel Village

Kiba stepped towards Saki's office. This was going to be the most awkward conversation he had in his entire carrier, and it was a risky one too. He'll have to "take care" of Saki if things would not go smoothly. He knocked on the office door before stepping in. He put no effort into being polite or organized, and he didn't let go of his weapons as before. "Hello again Miss Saki" Kiba greeted before resting himself in the chair in front of her. He kicked the door shut, locking himself and her in the office so they wouldn't be disturbed. "Please don't be afraid, we have important business to discuss" Kiba explained. He took a deep breath and spoke again.

"Here's the deal: I am not a member of the Bulldog pirates, they have been arrested one year ago and are no longer sailing the seas. I'm Kiba Hitsugami, member of the Steel Village pirates, also known as yonkou Iken's crew." He said, giving Saki a second to take the information in. "For some odd reason, Master Iken shows great interest in your rookie crew Miss Saki" He said, avoiding any information about his role in the crew. "He is actually interested in an alliance, between the Steel Village and the Milky Way pirates. This is an extremely serious issue Miss Saki, Iken is not offering alliances to anyone, he hand picked you especially, so consider it well".

Kiba extended his right hand for a hand shake, but did not lower his guard down for a second. He could feel the hidden knife he had in his sleeve, ready for action in the case that Saki realizes more than she should. "Master Iken is also interested in a certain bullet your doctor: Geto, has".

Saki listened to everything Kiba said, she understood everything that he meant, and wondered what she should answer. A Yonkou crew is incredibly powerful, and Saki knew that allying them would be really good for a rookie crew like the Milky Way Pirates, she wanted to be powerful, and she would help Steel Village with what they were able to do, and she hoped that it would also be that way with the Steel Village helping them. She wondered if they would help The Milky Way Pirates.

After thinking, thinking really hard, about what would be the best for her crew, she decided that she would accept Kiba's offer, she smiled brightly at Kiba, who, even if he had lied to her, followed orders, and it was fine with Saki, since it had meant no harm to her crew, and they were actually offering an alliance, which was awesome.

"Sure, I think an alliance with a yonkou crew is really nice, and will be good for the future misadventures we may have. And about the bullet, like I said, Doctor Getto has it, and he's in the right to denying the use of it. Although, from what I've seen, he's a nice man that might as well say yes to your proposal, so you should go and ask him yourself. Where he is at this moment is not of my knowledge but I did tell him that you were looking for him when you went to answer the den den mushi. So he must be close, or looking for you" she said with a tone of superiority, not the petulant tone or anything like that, but more of a tone of someone who is mature and knew what she was talking about. She wanted to prove that she wasn't the captain of the Milky Way Pirates for nothing. Saki Star was brave, kind, nice, strong, and anything that a captain needs. A good captain. A real pirate captain. The one her crew needs.
