History: Yan was the son of two great fighters, a knight and a martial artist. They both wanted him to practice their own type of fighting, so they argued alot over him. They soon came to an agreement that will dedicate half of the week to sword fighting and the other half to martial arts. Yan wanted to speak out, but he felt that he should be happy the way he is, seeing that his family isn't poor, or in famine, or anything like that. Even though he toiled through years of training, he still kept a soft smile on his face no matter what the circumstances were. Yan was a genius, he excelled through his parents' hard training in a snap, starting at the age of eight and finishing all of his training in eight years. Now he was free to do what he always wanted to do; To play music. His parents hired the only musician in their town, an old man with a shamisen. Yan was thrilled that he could learn music from the hands of a master, and tried to keep his best focus whenever he could. One day, the old man had to teach from his house. Yan went over there and looked around for a bit. He went down to the basement and found a small bejeweled chest. Yan opened it up and found the biggest ruby he ever saw! Though he figured out it was a fruit when he saw a stem sticking out of it. Yan sniffed it, then licked it, then bit into it. Bleh! Yan found the fruit to be quite horrid in taste, but he missed lunch so he guessed he can't be picky about food. After ingesting the fruit and found that he didn't feel so well after that, he started to return home. He returned home and started to train on martial arts. But when he tensed up his arm, it started to turn into ruby. Then he knew what he ate at the old man's house. He felt rather pleased yet disgusted at the same time, he couldn't swim now but he now has an extra power to carry with him. When Yan turned twenty-two, his father died trying to protect a building from rioters,and his present to Yan was his pipe. He felt so much emotions flowing through him, he wanted to protect all the ones he held dear to his heart, but his relatives wanted him to see the world instead of staying here. Following their advice, he did so. He now had an inspiration to compose music, and he wanted more of that inspiration! But he wondered where to start first....

Personality: Yan Gong is very helpful with other people, he will help someone else rather than help himself first. He likes throwing a laugh every now and then and dislikes tense moments. He likes to smoke on his pipe that he keeps with him as a memento of his dead father.

He is the type of guy that would rather have you talk, and him listen. So he is not talkative. He hates it when other people pretend to understand what you say, and just smile and nod.

Whenever he is not busy doing other stuff, you can find him playing his shamisen as a way to relax himself. He likes sketching but his work of art is nothing but a mere sketch to express his feelings.

He is usually a happy and calm person that won't disagree with you... But you wouldn't want to take a look at his dark side, it can be a little darker than you expected. He gets stubborn and you won't be able to say a thing about it.

He has to be drunk at the end of the night or else he will be waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Whenever he gets him self into a problem, he feels a sudden urge to drink, which then we all know, he gets into what he is best at.

He is usually thinking about his goal, what else he could do to help fulfill it, or just random. Whatever you see Yan doing, it has something to do with his goal or something unrelated to anything going on around him.

He believes that nakama are not just friends but family and feels he is responsible to lead them to what is best for them.

Slam-Yan rushes forward and jumps onto his opponent while in his ruby coating form, slamming him or her to the ground violently
Blade Wave-Yan slashes the air, causing a wave of force towards the way Yan slashed
Shield Slam-Same thing as Slam, but Yan uses his shield instead.
Blade Top-Yan spins around, slashing anyone around him twice
Bunkai-Trace loosens his body muscles and relaxes his body. As soon as he is ready, he then throws rapid punches at his foe.
Sabu Lei-Trace runs at a high speed and then tosses himself into the air while spinning, and suspends both his hands causing a typhoon of random punches.
Ruby Knight-Yan covers his entire body in a hard, ruby coating from head to toe. While in this form, Yan takes less damage from swords and weak attacks, but takes more damage from blunt weapons. Both his defensive and offensive capabilities are increased.
