Appearance: Kana is a very petite young woman standing at 5'3", and she is very light at only a 110 pounds. Her straight black hair is tied up into a high ponytail, which reaches the middle of her back. She also has medium brown eyes with a light complexion. Her clothing consists of a magenta tank top with brown cargo capris that end at the middle of her calves. A black belt for holding her throwing knives can be found on her pants. She is not very muscular, but she does have enough strength to hold heavy weapons such as swords and axes.
History: Kana was born in a small village located in the West Blue. Her two parents had only given birth to her making her an only child. The village she grew up in was often raided by pirate causing her parents to be over protective, and very often she would be stuck at home watching the other kids play outside through a window. She would only be allowed to go out for school, but when it was done, she had to go back home right away.
When she was ten, her father took her out to go shopping by the docks. Unfortunately, that day was one of those times when the pirates noticed the tiny village on that small island. The townspeople were able to fend off the pirates before they reached the houses. Sadly, casualties still happened. Kana's father was one of them. When the pirates' ship was spotted, her father told her to hide in the forest during the attack, and to never come out until he came to get her. From behind a tree, she watched as a couple of pirates ganged up on her father and beat him to death using their fists. Soon, the pirates were chased out of the island. Kana ran to her father's side and saw that he was dead. Crying, she ran back to the house to tell her mother.
The months following that incident Kana and her mother were forced back to leading their own lives despite the scar on their hearts. Her mother had no choice, but to let her daughter assist with the shopping meaning that she had to go out on her own. For her self-protection, her mother had their neighbor, a former Marine, teach Kana self defense. She refused to use any hand-to-hand combat techniques or abilities since her father had been killed that way. Because of this, their neighbor taught her how to use weapons. At the young age of eleven, a sword was too heavy for her to wield, and a gun was too powerful for her to shoot. He had given her throwing knives instead. She liked the fact that they were small enough for her to wield, so she carried it every time she went to the docks to go shopping.
One day, the thirteen-year-old Kana asked that neighbor why he was not a Marine anymore. He was still young and in good health, so he should still be in service. He told her that he did not agree with the World Government's way of justice. When the young teenager asked why, he answered saying that they were to arrest all criminals and anyone connected to them even if they did not do anything. They strived to protect the innocent, but sometimes the innocent people were victims too.
"Why?" Kana questioned once again with her eyes wide.
The neighbor looked down at her.
"It's all part of their need for absolute justice." he answered.
On her seventeenth birthday, Kana told her mother of her wishes to become a pirate. She was not very happy with her daughter's decision since they killed her father. Kana answered by saying that she wanted to see the rest of the world. Her mother refused to let her go. That night, she went for a walk by the docks. There, she found her neighbor who said he wanted talk to her. He told her that her mother had informed him of her wishes to go out to sea. While her mother did not approve of it, he did. Bringing her to the dock, he showed her a small rowboat and handed her enough money to support herself. Then, he gave her map and instructed her to go to the nearest big city.
Before she left, he told one more thing.
"Find nakama who will support you, and be careful of the World Government."
She nodded and hugged before she left.
Personality: Despite being locked up for most of her childhood, she is a very outgoing and friendly girl. Kana also loves exploring. Since she had a limited childhood, she enjoys seeing new things and meeting new people. Although, she does not trust people easily as she is aware of that fact that there are pirates with bad intentions too.
Because of her father's death, she vows to never use hand-to-hand combat to harm another human being, resulting in her interest for all kinds weapons. If needed, she will block an attack if she was unarmed. Her goal to wield any weapon came from her need to protect her loved ones at any time.

Special Abilities: She is very light on her feet, and she is very quick. She is able to run long distances for long periods of time. In return, her strength is very limited to wielding weapons. If she were to throw a punch, it would only result in a bruise. As a weapon specialist, she is able to wield a variety of weapons including her proficiency with throwing knives. Other than that, she is able to use a sword, a pistol, a hammer, and an axe all thanks to her neighbor instruction. Despite knowing how to use these items, throwing knives are the only things she carries or uses on a daily basis.
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): - Cutting Cyclone: Kana spins in a circle at a high speed and throws her knives at her opponents. This is usually used to when she is outnumbered in fights.
- Edge Cutting Assault: While hiding, Kana throws her knives from different directions at her opponent.
- Bladed Bane Bolt: Kana throws a high speed knife at her opponent. She could be hiding or face-to-face when this is in use.
- Blade Attack: Kana throws four knives at the same time (two in each hand) at her opponent.
- Slicing Strike: Kana sprints toward her opponent with one knife in each hand. Using one knife (or both), she slices her opponent.
