Name: Fionn macAlasdair, “The Lion’s Claw”
Age: 20
Bounty: N/A
Species: Human
Occupation: Administrator
Allegiance: Eurulean
Home Village/Ocean: Eurul, New World
Appearance: Fionn normally has his black hair swept over to the right of his head, and since this isn’t a conscious choice, he needs to keep it cut rather short to stop it from causing him problems. His piercing green eyes seem to stare right through whomever he looks upon, and his normally haughty manner keeps up an appearance of pompous disdain. Fionn wears an extremely trim blood red military uniform, with two parallel lines of golden buttons down his front. His sleeves are long, and the whole outfit is trimmed with a golden colored fabric. His normally wears white gloves that only reach his wrists. Underneath his soft and comfortable uniform, he surprisingly has two ‘belts’ of knives strung in an ‘x’ shape over his chest.
History: Fionn was born the son of a merchant-class man of Eurul named Alasdair. He wasn’t exactly as physically fit as the rest of his contemporaries, so it became necessary for him to use unconventional weaponry: his weapon of choice eventually being a ranged weapon, the throwing knife. When he wasn’t practicing chucking knives in between the ‘eyes’ of stationary targets, Fionn was instead absorbing all practical and book-like knowledge he could get his hands on. He became an extremely intelligent person; even at the age of fifteen, he was smarter and more knowledgeable than 75% of the rest of the population. This would come in handy in a very short time.
Fionn’s father was, to put it simply, utterly stupid. When Alasdair inherited the family business, it wasn’t long until the business was almost gone. However, Fionn got tired of his father’s ineptitude, and when he was sixteen, he… had his father dealt with. Not killed, don’t misunderstand me: he simply… took over the business. His father’s timely coma may or may not be related to this takeover… Regardless, Fionn went to work right away. In a matter of weeks, the business was back on its feet, and a lone year since his takeover, it had grown to become a name known in many countries worldwide. During this period of time, Fionn came across a unique fruit by the seashore, and upon bringing it home and rinsing it, he tasted it… only to throw it out upon realizing the disgusting taste it had.
Fionn was soon scouted by the newest King, Eoghan, to become a potential Administrator. Obviously, Fionn wouldn’t pass up a chance to prove his intelligence in such an obvious way, so he accepted. He began multitasking between controlling the family business and running his country… since to him they weren’t that much different. When he realized the powers given to him by the fruit he had eaten, he used it to strengthen the army, as well as practice strategies that he’d need in case of invasion… which, of course, worked perfectly. He continued this for three years, maintaining a skilled army, a worldwide business, and a cloistered country simultaneously.
Personality: Fionn has a pair of very different personalities that he puts on like masks depending on the situation. The first ‘mask’ is his businessman’s mask: this ‘attitude’ he puts on whilst dealing with invaders, his business ventures, and people from other countries in general. He puts on a guise of lofty snobbery, treating opponents and business partners alike as if they were dirt, regardless of their rank outside of his country. He tends to look down on others while in this mindset. He uses vocabulary primarily meant to put others down. He shows extreme faith in his intelligence, usually insisting that no one could best him intellectually.
However, Fionn’s other ‘mask’ comes out when he’s around his people. He becomes far kinder and down to earth, though he still manages to keep a bit of a pompous tone. He will generally try to help those he can, and his confidence in his intelligence is toned down incredibly. He is more silent and stoic than his husband is, but he is still considerably nicer than his business incarnation. He will attempt to think through things logically, and is usually forced to stop Eoghan from doing something reckless and/or stupid.
Underneath these two masks, Fionn has a strange personality base: he enjoys ‘playing’ with others, mostly inside the realm of his Devil Fruit. He obtains something very similar to a god complex, mostly justified by the fact that he can control almost everything inside his realm. He doesn’t like to needlessly restrict the flow of information, though will usually give tidbits of information as a prize to those who complete the goals in his special dimension. Though on the outside he appears to have disdain for his people’s customs, he really does respect his people’s customs and beliefs.
