| Name: Spur Stelzen
Age: 20
Bounty: Zero.
Species: Human
Occupation: Scout/Stalker
Allegiance: Blizzard Pirate
Home Village/Ocean: West Blue
Appearance: Spur’s appearance can change slightly due to his Life Return powers, but he has a standard appearance he maintains where there are no jobs to be done. Spur has straw-blond colored hair of an average length. It is normally combed back, and held in place by a pure white visor. His eyes are a pale blue, though he normally tries to hide them under his visor. He normally leaves his chest and back exposed, revealing blocky tattoos crisscrossing over his chest and back in Celtic style. He normally has a pair of tan cargo shorts on, as well as a forest green sweater tied around his waist. Surprisingly, he rarely wears anything on his feet.
History: Spur was orphaned around the age of eight in a fairly large city, forcing him to work for his own survival. He grew rather skilled at traversing the city in strange ways, climbing up walls and using the roofs as streets. He began to see the city as nothing more than a large road that always had a route to what he wanted. Spur was never restrained by the concept of right and wrong: if you can do something, and get away with it, you can do it. As such, Spur regularly stole his food from people who obviously didn’t need it, and used his secret routes and roads to escape. However, his skills didn’t exactly save him from getting caught… especially in one instance.
At the age of seventeen, Spur attempted to pickpocket some money from a pair of strangers passing through his town: and failed completely and utterly. One of the strangers, a woman, somehow controlled her hair to ensnare him once he had stolen her wallet. Spur was astonished that a human being could so something so amazing: he felt compelled to ask her exactly what she had done to him. She replied with something that sounded like “Life Return.” Spur, forgetting that he had tried to pickpocket her in the first place, asked where she learned such an amazing ability. The second stranger raised his hand, and Spur begged the man to teach him as well. Surprisingly, the man agreed.
Shortly after learning the pair’s names, Kuchula Bathory and Schwarzwald von Freishutz, Kuchula left, apparently having finished learning everything she wanted to know from Freishutz. Spur began learning the use of Life Return, and chose to train his heart first and foremost. After three full years of training, Freishutz decided to send Spur elsewhere: Spur had been wearing on his nerves, and frankly, Spur was far too attention deficient for Freishutz to handle. Spur left to train on his own: he decided that the apex of his skills would be achieved if he could best Freishutz and Kuchula in battle. As such, he began training his organs to try to be able to reach Freishutz and Kuchula’s level of power.
Personality: Spur is a fairly amoral jackass at times: he rarely shows interest in helping others unless it benefits him in some way. He has the unique disability of being unable to read awkward or uncomfortable situations, and as such can appear to be totally inept in most social situations. He can feign interest in something if it helps him get what he wants, but what he ‘wants’ is not very continuous. His goals can change on a whim, though they usually follow a pattern. He has the ability to modify his personality somewhat through sheer force of effort. Of course, he can’t turn from extremely easily angered to the most tolerant thing on earth, but he can generally stop himself from being an ass if necessary.
Spur gets curious about almost everything around him: this leads to stupid, silly, serious, and random questions occasionally spewing from his mouth. (His record is “What is the sky?”) His curiosity is short-lived, however: he will normally stop swooning over an object in two minutes. This makes occasions where things hold his fascination for more than a half hour extremely rare. He will obsessively study something until his fascinations are cured, or at least until he understands why he’s been interested in the bloody thing for so long.
Ship: N/A
Devil Fruit: N/A
Special Abilities: Life Return: A technique Spur learned from his teacher and master, Schwarzwald von Freishutz. Life Return gives the user control over the body’s systems. Spur’s control is rather limited, as he is nowhere near the strength of his master in his control over Life Return. So far, he has mastered his circulatory system and his digestive system completely: he has also begun practicing with his endocrine system and his respiratory system.
Strong Heart: Spur’s heart is so strong and well trained through Life Return that it is almost impossible for it to give out. It will continue pumping in perfect synchronization at almost all times. It is also capable of reaching a maximum heart rate of 240 beats per minute without failing.
Efficient Cells: Spur’s cells are able to use less oxygen more efficiently, allowing Spur to function despite minor to moderate blood loss. However, losing too much blood can still result in death.
Intermediate Parkour: Spur is able to find handholds in some of the strangest of places: he can use his own strength and agility to traverse areas ‘normal’ people cannot.
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): Return Form: Spur disables any ‘form’ he has previously activated. Light Form: Spur digests all fat in his body to become extremely thin and light. In this form, Spur is able to perform feats that his heavier ‘normal’ form could not, usually related to speed and/or parkour. Heavy Form: Spur turns much of the material in his body into fat, in order to absorb attacks and lessen the damage that results from them. Strong Form: Spur converts much of the material in his body into muscle, using it to pummel opponents to death: this muscle is dense and powerful, and usually combined with another technique of Spur’s. Delicate Form: Spur focuses all the resources in his body to become very skinny and flexible, enabling him to move around very sneakily. Terminal Transmission: Spur throws his heart into overdrive, making his heart send oxygen to his limbs at a ridiculously fast pace. Combined with Strong Form, Spur is capable of amazing feats of strength and speed. This is Spur’s real fighting method: he can only stay in this mode for about eighteen posts before it begins to harm his heart. Pain Killer: Spur has an incredibly powerful painkiller hidden in his right pinky toe. He holds it there using his circulation control, and releases it and floods it up to his body when he needs it. The painkiller lasts about five posts.
Weapons/Items: N/A
Character Flaws: Spur has no long range abilities, which forces him to get up close and personal with opponents. Spur’s strange sense of curiosity can lead to him causing serious problems for himself.
Goals: 1. Defeat Kuchula Bathory and Schwarzwald von Freishutz. 2. Find things that can hold his interest. 3. Obtain the highest mastery of Life Return in history.
