Name: Thurgood Janga (his friends call him Janga)
Age: 23
Bounty: 100,000,000 Belli
Species: Human
Occupation: Strategist, gunslinger, sharpshooter, tactical officer
Allegiance: Pirate (albeit unwillingly)
Home Village/Ocean: West Blue
Appearance: Thurgood is rather tall but lanky making him seem distinguished but not entirely threatening. He has a mildly light complexion and course black hair which he wears slicked back falling to the base of his neck curling at the ends with a pair of well defanged but neatly kept sideburns and full eyebrows over his steely narrow grey eyes. He has a slight five o’clock shadow and wears a black, triangular had with a red band around it. His outfit is comprised of a black suit with a blue tie and rounded shoes and a tan kaki overcoat. Under the overcoat he keeps his equipment and he wears a black belt with a silver buckle. In his left front shirt pocket is a pair of small round glasses with a rose tint.
History: Thurgood grew up in a harsh mountain frontier town on the red line near the west blue. From an early age he was taught life’s lessons from experience. Though his was not an unhappy childhood it was by no means a privileged one and soon he grew in to a young man with realistic dreams of finding happiness, something that many of the adults around him had to do without. This was before he became sidetracked with learning to defend himself using a gun and before he found his natural talent for accuracy. Soon enough nobles passing through the unsafe streets began to pay him and others like him for protection. It wasn’t the most glamorous job but it paid well and most of the time he wasn’t expected to do anything but follow them through his town. Once he got a taste of success however he took to being a bodyguard and eventually expanded his repertoire to a mercenary as well. Eventually he found himself wealthy but rather disliked among the rouges in his area so he decided to leave his home town for better opportunities on the sea. This eventually led him to an incident where he was able to prevent a merchant ship from falling to pirates and received a disproportionately large reward. In his celebrating he traveled to a nearby island and went to a restaurant telling the waiter to bring “The most expensive thing they served”. Soon after he was given a strange fruit, it had swirls on it and looked nothing like he’d ever seen but he figured that if it was worth as much as it was it must be good. He ate it but noticed immediately that it tasted horrific. Unbeknownst to him Thurgood had just eaten a devil fruit, this didn’t become apparent until he received the check. Knowing hed never be able to pay such a large amount off even with the reward he made and rather outraged that he had been given a devil fruit in the first place he decided to flee from the restaurant. This ultimately turned out to be a bad move as the “theft” of a “dangerous” devil fruit combined with his reputation as a known mercenary and skilled marksmen got him a rather steep bounty and labeled him a pirate. Mortified Thurgood had to master his devil fruit to elude his many pursuers and eventually became more discrete and crafty. For a long time he traveled around from island to island, sometimes getting involved with other groups and sometimes passing through unnoticed.
Personality: Thurgood is surprisingly aloof and somewhat lazy but this betrays a great degree of intelligence and an inquisitive world view. He doesn’t care to involve himself in struggles that do not interest him but is very dedicated to the task at hand if he’s decided to invest himself. Thurgood tends to solve problems indirectly and has a dislike for the superficial, he attempts to find happiness for himself rather than pursue glory or status but this attribute makes him an ideal friend at times and rather unimpassioned at others. If Thurgood meets someone who interests him his outlook can change for the better just as if he is unimpressed or angered by someone he can sharply turn against them. This makes him a rather polarizing figure. He has a knack for avoiding attention and a strong sense of self preservation.
Ship: name of ship
Ship Flag: describe
Devil Fruit: Sticky Sticky Fruit
Type: Logia
Effect: The user gains the ability to create and manipulate large quantities of a semisolid, elastic adhesive substance identical to a sort of glue, this is clear and murky looking and can be used to affix most anything to a surface or object if contact is established. The glue is very fast acting and borders on being instantaneous but is utterly useless if the target can remain out of its range. If the glue has been submerged in seawater or had sea stone applied to it the glue will of course dissolve. The user is also able to get things stuck by their glue unstuck of course along with the ability to chose weather or not their glue effects them.
Special Abilities:
-Impeccable accuracy; as a skilled sharpshooter he’s able to accomplish with a simple pistol what a trained sniper with an advanced riffle would otherwise find difficult. He’s also skilled enough to shoot incredibly precisely in addition to accurately, one example of his accuracy was the ability to shoot an ant off the antenna of a grasshopper from three yards away
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
-Fusen Fusen no Hae tori-shi (Sticky Sticky Flypaper): a simple technique where a thin layer of his Fusen glue spreads from his hands or feet over a surface such as a wall or floor, the result is that anything that touches the surface will instantly stick to it, like a fly trapped in flypaper. This technique is used to stop opponents in their tracks and make them easy targets at a distance.
-Fusen Fusen no Tama (sticky sticky sphere): This technique involves rolling up a large ball of glue and hurling it at opponents, hitting a large area and totally immobilizing a target, the glue sphere can not be struck, cut by blades or shot by guns as attacks only get stuck in it and thus it can also be used for defensive purposes
-Fusen Fusen no Kumo Toho (sticky sticky spider walking): by gathering Fusen glue under his feet Thurgood can walk, cling to, stand and even run up walls or ceilings enabling him a greater degree of mobility
-Fusen Fusen no nori danagan (sticky sticky glue bullets): similar to the fusen tama technique the user fires out many smaller glue spheres to cover a wider area, these burst in to glue on contact effecting a wider area.
-Fusen Fusen no Fusen (Sticky sticky balloon): a technique where he blows a bubble of fusen glue which floats in the air like a balloon, though this doesn’t last very long it can be used to capture targets from all sides
-Fusen Fusen no Tsuriito (sticky sticky fishing line): a technique where he produces a strand of fusen glue that he flings at targets affixing the end to the target to pull it closer to him, like a fishing line.
-Fusen Fusen no Choyaku (sticky sticky leap): The user throws up a archway of glue which hangs in the air for a few seconds, he then uses this time to propel himself over obstacles like a high speed fluid escalator, this is a particularly useful technique as others cannot make use of the glue archway with out getting stuck inside
-Fusen Fusen no Kanso nori hifu (sticky sticky dried glue skin): a simple technique with limited use that uses a basic property of glue, the user covers his or another’s skin in glue and has it dry very quickly, the result is a membrane that keeps outside agents from touching the skin, this is not really so much an armor as it is a protection from contaminates like that of the doku doku or noko noki mi but it can be implicated tactically to prevent direct contact with things.
-Fusen Fusen no ame (sticky sticky rain): a technique where the user makes many many smaller glue bubbles that float over a large area then pops them in unison with a well placed shot from his guns causing a fierce rain of fusen glue
-Fusen Fusen no jun (sticky sticky net): the user sends out interwoven strands of glue out like a net, this can be used to catch things as they stick to the net like a spiders web but is more often used to catch falling allies, however the net has a short shelf life once the user stops maintaining it and is not used as a means of trapping opponents.
Weapons/Items: Two pistols with ammunition
Goals: To find stability and happiness in his life.
