Serious: Bakuji Boudou Chapter 2-Knights of the Sky

Far away in the grand line lied the sky island of Titanis, The sky king, Norse Alavdor, and knight of the table have been plaqued by the evil Priest Solaris and his disciples. Once his most trusted advisor, Solaris has lead a crusade against the kingdom. Every day his disciples would raze the villages of kingdom burning the crops of the farmers. This lead to drastic famines across the land, and many people started to starve. The king sent his strongest of knights only to have them defeated or killed by Solaris's forces. Solaris will only stop the attacks if Norse gave up his daughter, Princess Nimbus, to him as his wife. The king refusing to give up his only daughter sought help from a known group of warriors known as the Bakuji Boudou in the Big Blue oceans below. He sent his eagle carrying a message to these warriors hoping they could help before its too late.

Kayla was awaiting on top of her submarine for the rest of team to come up. She had to tell them about their mission.

Appearing behind Kayla the assassin leaded up against his fiery captain. Other than the physical contact the only sign of his appearance was his whispering into her ear softly.

"What's come up now, captain?" asked the man trying to get off on his creepiness.

Kayla turned surprised that marine had the drop on her again especially since she was a zoan user. She quickly regained herself to explain the mission to her subordinate.

"Apparently we are needed by a place called Titanis. Their king sent me a message as well as a map, but I can't find the island anywhere. According to the map, It should be right here next to us but. There is nothing here but sea."

As kayla was talking to Marine killer,Neither of them knew that the water below them had started to boil with bubble floating to the top. There was volcanic activity below them and the heat from the magma was causing lots of pressure under the submarine. Neither of them knew what was going on, until it was too late.

Sniff....sniff.....The smell of sulfur, a rush of warm air from the ocean and steam. Luke knew exactly what this meant, he had trained in one for years and years.

"Oh shit a volcano! Oh this could be bad!" Luke said as he began to panic.

Kayla eyes widened as she heard Luke call out "volcano". She got her den den mushi to contact the mechanics of the submarine inside but it was too late. The water shot the submarine in the sky in a huge knock up stream. The boiling hot water almost ripped the hull of the submarine as it was sent into the heavens. The submarine flew past the seagualls in the sky, and hundreds of miles above the clouds.

Kayla quickly held unto the bars of the submarine so not flug off toward the depths below. She reached out her hand to Luke as they soared into the air.

"Grab my hand quick!"

Luke grabbed his captains hand, despite the great gravity pushing down on him. He wouldn't let her die so if he had to he would use that technique despite the side affects. For now he would wait and see what would happen before risking it all.

"Damn it captain, why do you get us into these situations!" Yelled Luke.

Kayla looked at Luke with an angry look as her body was being pushed unto the submarine because of the gravity.

"Me?!!! You act like I wanted this happen."

The knock up stream stopped shooting the submarine far in the sky. Far awhile it felt that the submarine was flying in the air. Then an island appeared high in the air. Kayla couldn't believe her eyes. They were heading toward a floating island. The submarine flew over the island doing a flip in the air before falling straight down unto the island. The submarine crashed into the ground of the island. The impact caused Kayla to pass out.

"Oh just shut up! This isn't the wrong time to argue about this!" Luke yelled.

As the submarine crashed to the ground Luke was throw into a large tree softening his landing. A few broken ribs along with a good amount of scratches and cuts Luke fell out of the tree. As his vision blurred Luke remembered his captain was with him. Trashing through the scrap metal and debris Luke vigorously throw metal, debris, and any downed tree that might be on top of Kayla. Seeing something under the hall of the submarine look concentrated on his right arm causing adrenaline to the muscles. His arm quadrupled in size and Luke tossed the whole submarine like it was a pebble sending it fly through the air.

"Oh damn where is she?" said Luke frantically looking for his captain.

A moment later after more searching Luke finds Kayla and picks her up in his arms.

Kayla coughed for a bit before opening her eyes to see Luke. When she saw Luke holding her in his arms Kayla quickly got up blushing red.

"Thanks you Luke....Ummm where are we? Hello is there anybody still alive?"

Kayla saw that the sub was complelely destoryed, and grew worried of her crew. Fortunately some mechcanics had survived the crash and rushed toward commander.

"Whew thank goodness you guys survived. I was so worried. Now get to fixing the submarine. Luke and I will scout the island."

The mechcanics moaned and groaned saying "But commander we are all hurt from the crash! Can't we take a few moments to rest?"

Kayla yelled "Thats an order. You can rest when we are all off this island."

Kayla went off the scout the land.

Luke followed closely behind his captain making sure she was truly alright. The island they were one was a strange one without really any solid ground only hardened clouds. The trees and plant life grew on what little soil there was, Luke assumed that came from accumulation of dust particles.

"Captain, didn't you say our next mission came from one of the sky islands? If so I think this is it." Luke said catching up to Kayla.

Kayla looked around the land to see nothing but white fluffy clouds. If fact most of the island was made by clouds with very little dirt or land. Kayla had heard Luke talking.

"Yeah but I never thought it would be real. I just thought it was an some kind of tale that pirates made up it seems that they were right. Well we might as well find this king that needs our help. We have a mission to do."

Then all of sudden two men who were riding on horses came toward them. Each of them were wearing armor which strongly resembled medevil knights. They took out their weapons riding toward Kayla and Luke. The horses were extremely fast that they would like blurs to the naked eye due them having jet dial on their hooves/

"Intruders lets get them. Their spies from The Priest. ATTACK THEM!!!!"

Lord Gideon took his mace of Might. The mace was equipped with the breath dial and with released blue flames out of it. He swung his mace toward Luke. The other knight was Lord Eldrith who carried a javelin that was powered by the eisen dial which allowed it to change shape. Eldrith stretched his javelin to attack Kayla.

The horse was fast, but Luke was faster than that by far. Luke appeared on the knights horse in front of the mace wielding knight. Thrusting his hidden blade under the knights helm Luke tried to inject a powerful sleeping drug.

"Hey ya bloody bastards! We work for the king." Luke yelled.

Lord Gideon was surprised that Luke managed to get on his horse. Even more surprised that Luke managed to strike him. The knight fell off his horse sleeping on the ground with his mace. Lord Eldrith saw how Luke used trickery to beat Gideon.

"The king would never hire a coward who uses trickery to win. You lies will not go unpunished. Say good bye to your wench."

Kayla used the Geppo technique to leap several feet in the air using the strength in her legs to kick herself avoiding the attack. She then kicked herself toward Eldrith holding her left fist out. "Tekkai Kenpo "Okami Hajiki" She used the technique tekkai to harden her fist like iron. Kayla punched Gideon his chest.

To her surprised something pushed her back with the same force. Kayla was pushed back unto the ground with hand almost broken.

" I must be getting rusty if I got hurt this badly by some lousy armor."

Lord Gideon laughed "This is not some ordinary armor. We have impact dials behind our armour everytime an opponent his us. Our armor simply absorbs the blow and returns the damage back. You can't hope to defeat me."

He then transforms the javelin into a spear and thrusts it toward Kayla again.

Luke stomped down on the lance causing it to drive into the ground which also caused the knight and his horse to flip over backwards as they came to a sudden stop. Turning to the knight trapped underneath his own horse Luke walked up to him slowly, this was very strange site for Kayla to see the assassin making no attempt to hide his appearance. Pulling off the mans helm and opening his mouth, Luke stuck his foot on the mans bottom jaw and both hands on his top.

"Namikaze Viper"

Luke then proceeded to pull the mans skull in two different directions making it open wide like a viper.

Lord Eldrith was about to be killed by Luke's attack, but he managed to pull one of his hands free out from underneath the horse. He grabbed Luke's foot before He had the chance to pull his skull in two. Eldrith managed to use the impact dial inside his gaunlet to knock Luke's foot out of his mouth.

"You bastard how dare you put your foot in my royal mouth! I shall have your head on a pike. Twinkles get off of me!!!"

His horse quickly manuever off him.

Kayla quickly got up from the ground pulling Luke and Eldrith apart.

"Ok ok lets not kill each other here. The king sent us this map and note. Its written in the king's hand so you know our intentions are clear."

Eldrith looked and saw that the king indeed wrote them help "My apologizes milady. We were foolish to attack you, but its just that things have gotten a little crazy around here."

Eldrith got down on knee kissing Kayla's hand. Kayla blushed smiling at Luke "Did u hear that? He called me Milady."

(Since I’m a little bit behind, I’ll try to catch up in one post.)

A young girl lay on her back in a small rowboat out in the middle of the ocean. To anyone passing by, it would have been difficult to tell whether or not she was actually alive. Her skin was sunburned and her whole body had the slightly shrunken look of someone who had not eaten for days. Her stomach rumbled loudly, indicating that this was the case.

The girl’s eyelids fluttered slightly and her mouth opened and then closed again. She was weak. Too weak to try to row to another island, even if she hadn’t lost the oars a few miles back. A sudden warmth caught her attention.

She forced herself to sit up and looked around. There was nothing there. Except…something was in the water near her. It looked like a submarine. For an instant, her spirits lifted. A submarine would mean people! And people meant fresh water!

With a reserve of strength she didn’t know she possessed, Grace dove into the water and swam over to the submarine. She was pulling herself up on the side of it when the stink of brimstone reached her nostrils. The warmth she had felt earlier was building up. It felt like the air was…burning! All at once, the world exploded and the submarine was torn out of the water. The girl shut her eyes and clung on gamely. The submarine flew through the air, shooting straight up. How long it did this, the girl didn’t know. All she felt was an intense heat and then…nothing.

The girl came too a short while later. She was lying on an island next to the submarine, which had been severely damaged. How she had survived, she could not tell. Perhaps she had held on to the submarine even after she had fainted. She tried to sit up, but her whole body hurt too much.

The girl heard footsteps and she saw several people coming towards the submarine. She managed to raise one arm to wave weakly at them and, with her voice no more then a croak, said, “Water…please…”

Grace’s hand fell back down again. There was nothing more she could do. If they had not heard her, then she was finished. She would not be able to bring up the strength to call them again.

The man Luke had just previously tried to kill not only touched her, but he also kissed her. Rage boiled inside Luke like a lake of magma, ready to explode tearing the knight into pieces. He couldn't just attack them, call her a wench, and try to kill her then go all lovey dovey and kiss her. One thing rolled through Luke's mind time and time again the one thing he was tempted with, (Kill the bastard, rip him in half).

As Luke reached for the mans throat in order to do what he was told by his mind, he heard a frail voice. Looking back toward the wreckage Luke seen what looked to be a large talking lobster. Going for a closer look Luke noticed with was a young girl burnt and tired. Luke began to drool, not just one but two damsels he could protect. Like a savor from the heavens Luke swept the woman into his arms cradling her head as he put a canteen of water up to her mouth.

"Such a beautiful lady as your self needs nourishment. Drink up, drink all you want, I can always get more for an amazing damsel such as yourself." said Luke with a wide prevy grin.

Kayla pulled her hand away from the knight. She walked over to the destroyed submarine where Luke and the mysterious stranger were.

"Ok Luke enough bonding with the girl ok. She is in need of medical attention." Kayla said pulling Luke off her, so Grace could get some air. Kayla turned to Eldrith.

"Is there a hospital around here? This girls needs help."

Gideon said "Yes we have plenty in the royal castle. I shall lead you to it granted if you can help my fallen commarde on his horse. Kayla you and that fair madien can ride with me. Your jester(Luke) can help carry Lord Gideon on his horse and follow us."

Kayla carried Grace unto Lord Eldrith horse leaving Luke with the unconscious body of Lord Gideon to carry unto his horse. They rode to the castle in hopes of helping Grace.

Grace winced. She had never ridden a horse before and considering the fact that she wasn’t strong enough to control her body’s movement; the bumpy ride wasn’t doing her any favors. At least she was away from that weird guy. Had he actually been drooling? If it hadn’t been for that woman, Kayla, coming when she did, Grace would have probably tried to shackle his mouth shut before moving on to his arms and legs. She only now wondered if it were possible for her to use her power when she was tired.

Grace looked up at Kayla and forced down an almost overwhelming feeling of terror. These people were trying to help her, but she couldn’t help but feel afraid. It was to be expected, she supposed. After living so long on the streets with Wallace as her only friend, she had learned not to trust people. But now, with no other options available, she figured she decided that she would trust them. Besides the drooling idiot, the others seemed to be at least halfway decent in the way they were handling her. So far, anyway.

Grabbing the unconscious knight Luke heaved him on to the horse before mounting it himself. Following the sleazy knight with Kayla and Grace with him Luke road the horse masterfully.

"Hey dirt bag knight how far away is this castle?" Luke asked.

Kayla tried to hold Grace to prevent the horse ride from shaking too much. She could tell that she was very sick. The castle was straight ahead. Kayla decided that she should talk to Grace in hopes of making the trip seem shorter.

"My name is Kayla an explorer from the Grand line, and that guy you just was my subordinate. Sorry about the hitting on part. Luke just can't control himself. You have to excuse him. Besides that he is a pretty good guy. What is your name? and how did you get here?"

Lord Eldrith answered "The castle is only a few miles away. We will probably get there about five minutes or so, and please try to keep up. You ride like a twelve year old child."

Grace hesitated. Even after deciding to trust these people, she still found it hard to do.

“I…” she coughed, her voice was still weak, but she pressed on gaining more strength as she went. “My name…i-is…Grace H-Hopkins. I was…on my…boat when I…saw your subma…submarine.” She frowned, as she tried to remember. “It was so…hot…I needed…water…so I…jumped onto…your sub. Then everything…exploded.” She flinched at the memory. “It was…like an…inferno. Hurt…badly…”

Luke was able to keep up with the knight just fine, despite is lack of experience on a horse. Every bone in Luke's assassin body told him to the kill the knight and rip him limb from limb. However Luke refrained from doing so, at least until the mission was over or the Knight gave him a good reason. Luke wasn't a fan of sky islands like these, they're always way to fluffy looking for his tastes. Then again being born and raised by an order of assassins that were also your family would knock the fluffy out of just about anyone.

"How's she doing?" Luke inquired to Kayla.

Kayla honestly counldn't tell. She was not a doctor, but she knew that Grace needed medical attention.

"She needs water and she got burnt badly from the explosion. Come on ride faster. We need to go see a doctor."

Then just as Kayla said that they were in the city. The large metal gate walls opened to them. It had an old midevil style village with stone houses and peopl wearing wool clothes. Lord Eldrith ordered some of the castle guards to take Grace for medical attention. One of the guards carried Grace off of the horse and toward the medical rooms. Kayla followed them to check if she was okay.

The doctors worked quickly. They were surprisingly sophisticated for this being a medieval-style village. That was a definiate plus as doctors back in the medieval era would not be able to handle burns like these.

At first, Grace flinched every time they touched her, both from pain and nerves. Then they sedated her and she slipped into a deep sleep.

(Sorry for taking so long to post. Didn’t really know what to say. Carry on without Grace for a little while. She’ll come back when she is needed.)
