Appearance: Standing at 5'9 with no height change despite his age, though slightly stooping, Tarin has a protruding beer belly, thick frown lines etched into his forehead, and a oddly broad yet muscular body due to having turned his fat into muscle. His skin is of a latino pigment, covered in wrinkles, and has scars on his left forearm, the bottom of his chin going vertically, one the right of his neck and his right wrist. The aging pirate has a rather square jaw, usually decorated with a scowl on his face, his scalp currently adorned with balding, short, messy white hair in thin strands drooping over his forehead and ears, and has bright blue eyes.
He often wears leather boots which are light brown, which is as well the colour of his torn up waistcoat. He also wears blue jeans, a white vest, and a black leather belt.
History: In his youth he was a rather violent young man after being discriminated by some of the villagers for his devil fruit powers, and took up boxing, judo, and a few other form of hand to hand combat as an outlet to deal with these feelings. One day, in one of his boxing classes, he cheated in a match by using his devil fruit powers to the instructors anger. He was then banned from the gym where he had his boxing lessons as well as his various other combat classes. Feeling frustrated and full of rage that he was denied his only outlet, he wrecked the gym, and was eventually arrested by local authorities.
He managed to escape soon after though, managing to bite through the prison bars with hands still chained. He then quickly boarded a ship which happened to belong to a minor pirate crew. Which after he was found out was given a choice, join them or die. Of-course he chose the later, and went on to become a full member of the crew as their Helmsman, gaining a bounty for having once defeated a vice admiral in combat thanks to his devil fruit powers and along with his old crew, plundered around sixty merchant ships of their goods.
After ageing to 43, he decided it was time to retire, much to the crews annoyance, and had to convince the captain to let him go, which took him a whole year before he finally caved in and allowed him to leave. He lived a oddly normal life in a small village where no-one paid much attention to the pirates bounties. A few years later his old crew came to plunder the towns resources, which Tarin sorted out by beating up his former captain, due to growing attached to the village, which caused the pirates to make their hasty retreat, and Tarin was quickly identified by the authorities.
He once again hid on a ship, this time without being discovered, and eventually made it to a small trading town which he decided to stay at. Although his bounty increased due to attacking his old crew, he was left unnoticed for many a year, and by the time he reached 75 was presumed dead and his bounty was no longer active. Though just recently he saw some bandits causing a ruckus in the local tavern by mistreating locals, to which annoyed Tarin enough to punch their leader full in the face with his devil fruit powers, and then quickly leave. The next day the marines arrived at his door step, announcing they matched his recent appearance with his old bounty, and once again made a hasty escape, this time stealing a rowing boat, deciding he might as well just carry on being a pirate until he came to a town where the marines haven’t even touched the place, and might as well show youngsters a thing or to about piracy until then.
Personality: A grumpy, rude, brutally blunt and easily irritated old man, Tarin is not easy company to be around, often complaining, insulting, ridiculing and moaning to those around him, taking a great amount of effort to keep in a good mood but greatly much less to make him turn sour. He does however occasionally have a softer side to him, knowing fully well when to hold his tongue is serious situation of either causing immense peril if otherwise, or in a moment of great sadness, though often than not, rarely knows when to shut up otherwise. He also will sometimes help out those in need or less fortunate than himself, such as from donating spare belli to a beggar to jumping in the line of gun-fire to protect a toddler, though often quickly following with a selfish excuse. On the subject of belli he is somewhat stingy with money, often refusing to purchase even cheap products unless they are 'essential', and because of this has a tendency to hoard cash, calling it his retirement funds.
Although he hates all types of prejudice, often complaining and speak up aggressively at the sight of such acts, especially if age is the target, he contradicts himself in this regard massively and is quick to judge others by their first meeting. Tarin is quite tired of pirate life,
Devil Fruit: Tokage Tokage no mi; Model: Crocodile Type: Zoan
Effect: Allows its user to transform into a crocodile or a crocodile-human hybrid, though has some abilities of a crocodile, it still has usual devil fruit weaknesses, such weakening with water.
Special Abilities: Helmsman and sailing experience, and basic thievery.
Learned Techniques: Hand to hand combat: A strange mix of wrestling, vale tudo, and boxing, often relying heavily on his devil fruit powers.
Tick Toc Croc; Holds the enemy by a shoulder lock and leaps in the air to pile drive the held opponent, counting down from twelve to one.
Swamp Splash; Leaps off higher ground and belly flops
Gator Gatling; A series of boxing jabs, hooks and uppercuts
Fighting Chance; Spits in foe's eyes before stomp kicking at the the groin
Devil Fruit Only: Croc Toss; Bite down on enemy's limb, then spins around quickly spinning around and releasing his grip, hopefully flinging his opponent.
Weapon/Items: None other than a wallet filled with belli and a sack to carry basic essentials such as fresh clothes and bare rations.
Goals: Find a no-marine zone to retire to peacefully, Prove youth and talent is no match for age and experience.
