Name: Isa Labrador
Age: 19
Bounty: 17,000
Species: Human
Occupation: None
Allegiance: Pirate
Home Village/Ocean: Arabasta
Appearance: https://2img.net/h/i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af158/Omega-Dog/461px-A_Lambo_Appears.jpgIsa seems to appear in a state of perpetual tiredness. In fact, he always has one eye closed, as if he cannot stay awake with two open. Mesa’s hair is thick and bushy, growing out into wavy curls. The most notable feature of Isa's head are the pair of small horns attached to his head. These horns are made of metal and are yellow in color. The horns are not part of Isa's body, just some sort of obscure headgear. The horns can be detached, as shown by the bandages around them. He has a mole under his left eye, which he calls a beauty spot. Isa keeps his clothing relatively simple. He wears a simple, white dress shirt, which is blotched with black spots, resembling a cows hide, although it is made of silk, not leather. The shirt buttons up, although Isa usually wears it with the top two down, due to his dislike of tight things around his neck. Over this shirt, Isa wears a black suit jacket, which is slightly too small for him. It doesn’t have any buttons, so he always wears it undone. Isa’s pants are also rather formal, Clashing sharply with his formal attire, Isa also wears light brown, straped sandals that reveal a large proportion of his feet.
In his second uniform, the one suitable for important occasions, Isa gains a much more formal appearance. On his head Isa wears a Sangria, or burnt red Homburg, which is a crown dented hat that is most commonly worn by and associated with members of mafia. The hat is decorated with a black pinstripe pattern. There is a brighter red sash around the top section of the hat made of silk. The homburg is slightly to big for Isa, meaning that it fits comfortably over his head, rather than on top of it. Isa’s main piece of clothing is a Sangri suit jacket. The jacket has a similar pattern to his hat, having the same black pinstripes. Isa wears a crimson, button up, long sleeve shirt underneath the jacket, although due to the fact that the jacket covers most of Isa’s torso, the majority of the shirt is not seen. Both the jacket and the shirts buttons are black. To finish off his formal upper attire, Isa wears a shiny black tie and has a red rose on the right side of his chest. Isa wears relatively simple pants. They are formal trousers, exactly the same as the rest of his outfit, Sangri in color with black pinstripes. The trousers are held up with a thin, black leather belt that sports a polihed red buckle. The trousers are slightly too short for Isa, meaning that when he sits down his red socks are occasionally revealed. For Isas final piece of clothing he wears highly polihed, black lace up shoes. Printed on the soles and heels of the shoes is the letter ‘I’. While in this costume he keeps al of his earrings and rings.
History:Isa was born in the war-torn country of Arabasta. The slums, in which he was raised in, where dangerous enough for an adult, let alone a baby. Somehow, he managed to survive until he was eight. By this time, all of his family had either been killed or had escaped without him. He could only presume this, as he was only a toddler and had no way of knowing what was going on. He guessed that they where either taken away on once of the patrol vans that raked the area they where living in for people, or they had been killed in an air raid. Both of these where possible occurrences. Only his sister survived the peril, staying with Isa for another year. He knew this because just before he left, his sister gave him a single coin, which had the date engraved onto it. It was very shiny and clean, so Isa assumed it had been made recently. His sister ran away from him the night he gave the coin to Isa, leaving it on his pillow while he slept (by pillow I mean newspaper). He survived, although just barley, by foraging for scraps in rubbish bins. When he was seven, Isa finally managed to get a decent education. After wandering through villages for about a month, Isa came across a large, stone temple, about half a kilometer from the next village. Inside the temple, monks where offering very basic education for children of the villages. The only thing that they needed to do was prove that they where well nourihed and adept enough to study. Isa, who was listening to this as the monks conducted their orientation speech, gripped his stomach with doubt and nervousness. This was quickly elevated, however, as when all of the Monks and future students had returned home (the monks used to actually live in the temple, but where forced to move to a small hut close by when one of their number had a nosebleed on the sacred floor as he slept). Creeping closer to the temple, Isa finally entered as the last tiny head disappeared over the horizon. He shuffled into the Temple with a little doubt that he would find this trip of use. Isa looked around the main room, observing the portraits of gods, statues of deities. This would have been of no importance to Isa, who wasn’t very religious (not knowing who to pray to, exactly). He showed his care instead by eating the offerings (mostly fruit) that where set down to appease the gods. This was a win-win situation for both himself and the monks, as it gave him enough nourishment to stay healthy, and it gave the monks amplified faith in their gods. In fact, this is what caused the monks to continue with the teaching program due to the fact that the gods where now accepting the monks offerings the day after the orientation. The temple was fully lodged, due to the monks having slept in it before, so Isa snuck in and slept in the bunk-like beds. It was the most comfortable sleep of his entire life. He was woken at about five am when the monks came to do their morning prayer. Luckily, he had made a small hole in the wall a night before in case he didn’t wake up before the monks came. It was later that day, around twelve o’clock that the first lesson of the program actually started. Isa had washed himself in the nearby stream and has found some old monks robes in the temple that he could wear, causing himself to look like all the other children. Also, due to his food theft, Isa looked thin, but definitely not malnourihed, and was allowed to learn at the temple. Although he felt a bit awkward, as all the student knew each other already, Isa quickly adjusted, gaining many friends, even if they could only talk before and after class. Isa, who knew very limited Arabastian (the actual language of Arabasta) fell behind during the first few classes, although her teachers just thought he was a bit dull. In fact, they thought that the class as a whole was pretty stupid, so Isa was able to take this in his stride, despite being of average aptitude. In fact, he was only slightly decent at history, being absolutely horrible at everything else. Still, he was a lot smarter than any of the adult villagers, who never had any sort of education. He was pretty good at the fighting aspect of the program. This was a course with the intention of teaching the students self-discipline and respect. The monks decided to teach the students Bando, one of the traditional martial arts of Arabasta.
After a few weeks of free food, lodgings and education, Isa started to feel slightly over privileged. He had been living him previous life on the narrowest of alleyways with only scraps for food and rats for company. The monks, however, felt distinctly under privileged. They where used to having their villagers respect and refer their duties and intelligence. How could they spend their days droning on to a rag-tag bunch of adolescent village punks? Their patience was very thin the next morning. Isa, oblivious to the monk’s anger, was having an enthusiastic fight with a few of his fellow students with scraps of bamboo, when he accidentally knocked down the large, jade statue of Buddha. With a sickening crunch, the statue split in two. The statue had only barley missed crushing the leader monk. At first he didn’t seem to be doing anything. He simply gazed out into the forest. Slowly, however, his face began to change, until it was as red as the setting sun. The monk roared out so loudly that they could hear him down at the village. The monk was having a troublesome few years. He had taken an oath of silence when he first became the leader, which was very hard for him, as he was quite the chatterbox as a child. Once the Child training program had began, thing began getting slowly worse. Not a child person by nature, the monk hadn’t exactly been jumping out of his cushion to welcome the little villagers, although he knew the program was essential to the future of the village. After two long years, his oath had been broken by this little brat, which meant that he would have to give up his spot as head monk. Isa, who could sense danger from a life on the streets, hightailed it out of there. The temple was bombed to rubble by a passing warplane half an hour later. Isa, who was wandering through a distant village, never knew this. The next morning, something horrible happened to Isa. It was three am, and Isa had only just fallen asleep when he was knocked unconscious and dragged into the back of a truck. He woke up about three days later on the coast of Arabasta, dressed in olive green clothes, lying in front of what seemed to be a roughly put together shack, with twisted drift wood and barbed wire acting as a makeshift wall of sorts. There was an iron heet propped up by two long planks of wood and a plumping pipe. Inside this shack was a small table. On top of it were two pistols, a strange fruit, and a rudely scrawled note that read,
Deer knew soldier,
U hav bean enrolld as a knew recruit for the ARABASTIAN ARMY. U hav bean placed on coast control for the thyme time being.
Urs sinserly, Soldier # 93
Isa winced every time the soldier misspelled words in the brief letter. That night, Isa curled up next to the boxes of food and ammunition, being slowly lulled to sleep by the lapping waves. That morning, an enemy soldier crept on to the beach, in covert, trying to sneak onto the island. Isa, who was still dazed from the day before, raised his arm over the wooden wall and shot the man, falling asleep about two minutes later. Later that day, Isa went down to the shore to have a look at the body. He realized with great pleasure that the man had left his boat on the shore, oars out, ready for sail. Not believing his luck, Isa quite literally jumped into the boat, forgetting in his haste that he did not know a thing about sailing. Eventually figuring out how to row, Isa set out into the gray ocean, not rally caring where he went. After a few days of sailing Isa was starving, and decided to eat the strange fruit he had been given. He immediately began to feel quite sick. Choosing to ignore this, Isa continued to sail, eventually spotting a thin speck of land in the distance, where he would begin his true adventure, free of poverty.
Personality:Tying in with his sleep-deprived manner, Isa is almost always in a very calm state. He does not rise up when insulted, keeping a cool and relaxed mind. Isa has two different kinds of patience. The first is for arrogant people. Isa has almost no patience at all for these people, those that simply jump into situations without thinking things though. The second is, basically, everything else. Isa is a very patient man, due to his relaxed nature, and tends to let other people do the arguing and either sleep or read. Isa does not condone violence, and tends to avoid it if possible. The only time he will willingly fight is when his friends are in danger or asking of his help. Isa has a low tolerance for pain and torture, making him an easy victim for subtracting information from. He will usually submit to his persecutors as soon as they start threatening to draw blood, meaning that he has a fear of being hurt. Concerning his friends, inferiors and superiors whom he loves, teaches and admires respectively, Isa is far too protective, often going to great lengths to protect or ‘avenge’ them if they have or are about to be injured. He is terrified of giants, for unknown reasons, and hates slavery.
Ship: None~
Ship Flag: None~
Devil Fruit: Kumo Kumo no mi
Type: Paramecia
Effect: This fruit allows Isa to freely control and create dark purple clouds.
Special Abilities: Isa is reasonably skilled in muay thai, a martial arts using ‘eight limbs’ although Isa prefers to use his knee in combat. He is also very clever, and has a way with words that tends to get people to like him.
Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): Hiza Isa- Using the metal plate located on his knee, which has an impact dial on it, Isa is capable of absorbing damage, and then blasting it back with the force of the dial and his attack. The impact usually dislocates his knee, meaning that he will be unable to walk for the remainder of the thread once he uses this.
Shinku Isa- Another Knee attack, Isa jumps high into the air, his knee held upward towards his body. He then dives down towards his opponent, with the aim of hitting them with his knee. This is usually used after another move, so Isa can attack the opponent’s stomach or back when they are lying on the ground.
Kumo Kumo no Chari- An attack with almost zero offensive capabilities, Isa creates a large cloud from his hands or feet, which is roughly the height and length of an average sized bicycle. The main feature of the cloud is allowing Isa to fly by sitting upon it, and although the cloud can be rammed into an opponent, it usually breaks apart afterwards. The cloud is solid, being strong enough to support at least four grown people on it without any drop in speed. The cloud is a similar color to all of Isa’s magically generated clouds, although a slightly darker red.
Kumo Kumo no Futa - Isas main offensive attack and ‘signature move’. A very simple spell, Isa emerges either both of his hands or both of his feet in basketball-sized red clouds. The clouds resemble bulky gauntlets when on Isa’s hands and large, round shoes when on his feet. The solid clouds are constantly billowing and shifting around Isa’s hands, as if they where made of gas. The clouds also allow Isa to fly,
Kumo Kumo no Yoroi- A technique used before serious battles. Isa begins by shooting a large amount of clouds from his hands. This clouds cling to his body, forming into dark purple armor. When wearing this, all of Isa’s physical attacks are more powerful, and he no longer breaks his knee when using his impact dial. This technique cuts Isa’s speed in half, however. Shown in the picture below.
https://2img.net/h/i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af158/Omega-Dog/424px-Chapter_312_Cover.jpgIsa Hiiru- Lifting his leg high into the air, Isa drops his foot down in an axe kick. This is used in conjunction with Kumo Kumo no Futa, as the clouds will protect Isa’s heel and allows him to break through hard materials, such as steel.
Isa Rapidofaia- A melee move, Isa begins to rapidly punch directly in front of him. He moves at such a speed that his arms create after images, allowing Isa to hit his opponent with rapid succession, hence the name. This technique is severely strengthened when Isa uses Kumo Kumo no Futa in conjunction with it.
Kumo Kumo no Rasen- A rather flashy move. Isa will begin by facing sideways to his target. He will then fling his arm out dramatically, sending a jet of dark purple clouds at his opponent. The clouds are extremely sharp, and have extra velocity due to their drill like movement.
Daburu Kumo Kumo no Rasen- Exactly the same as Kumo Kumo no Rasen, although with this move he faces towards his opponent. He also shoots out two spirals, instead of one. Naturally, this is more power full than its predecessor
Kumo Kumo no Tekken- A rather interesting move. Isa begins by covering his hand in a glove of clouds. He then adds more and more clouds to it, until it is about the size of a small car. Isa then removes the glove from his hand. This gives him a large fist to attack with. The hand’s movements correspond with his own left hand, enabling complicated movements such as flicking and grasping.
Kumo Kumo no Handou-Another offensive move, although it can only be use. Isa covers his leg in billowing clouds. He then leaps high into the air, and hits his opponent in midair with a powerful round house kick.
Kumo Kumo no Yabane- A devil fruit based technique, usually used to begin battles. Isa begins by opening his mouth extremely wide, almost dislocating it. He then exhales a massive amount of clouds from his mouth, which fly into the air like smoke from a fire, although in a more controlled fashion. The clouds then solidify into thousands of sharp arrows, raining down on the area in front of him.
Kumo Kumo no Konbou- A technique used very rarely. Isa uses his powers to create two solid kannabos out of clouds. This attack is used whenever Isa finds himself in a situation where his martial arts are ineffective, such as when in battle against a swordsman.
Kumo Kumo no Dango- A ‘trapping’ and ‘impairing’ attack, Isa begins this move by holding his arms out in front of him. He then creates five basket ball shaped and sized purple, fluffy clouds. Isa skewers the balls onto his arm, causing it to greatly resemble a shish kebab or Dango, from which the attack gets its name. With every swing of Isa’s arm, a single cloud is shot out at the opponent. If the clouds are successful in hitting the opponent they will stick to their bodies, weighing them down with a combined weight of fifty kilograms, ten kilograms for each swing. Lasts for four posts.
Kumo Kumo no Giganto Dango- In a similar manner to Kumo Kumo no Dango, Isa will create a ball of cloud. This ball however, is extremely large, around the size of a marine battle ship. It is so heavy, that Isa cannot even lift it without using Kumo Kumo no Fuuta. The ball is solid, and can plow through most objects, within reason. If he wihes, Isa can add spikes to the ball.
Kumo Kumo no Nami- A simple but fast attack. Isa will shoot a large jet of clouds from his hand. This can deal blunt force damage, pushing the opponent back several meters, or provide cover by shrouding them in clouds, providing time for escape.
Isa Supaku- Using his metal knee, Isa will drive it into his opponents chin in an uppercut. By using the Jet dial located on the back, Isa can give this attack an extreme increase in velocity.
Kumo Kumo no Kire- The ‘sharp’ version of Kumo Kumo no Nami, Isa will shoot a thin streak of razor sharp cloud at an opponent, with the intent of impaling them.
Isa Tama- One of Isa’s strongest melee based attacks. Isa, using his brass knuckles, will aim a punch to the opponent’s stomach. If they where to dodge, which is usual, they would most likely be hit by the massive wave of clouds that Isa sends from his fist during the attack.
Weapons/Items: Isa’s main weapon is a metal plate, situated on his knee. This plate also contains an impact dial, situated on the front, and a jet dial, which is located on the back. He also wears spiked brass knuckles, which help him with his martial arts.
Goals: To continue sailing with his friends, eventually find people he can call his family and abolish slavery. Isa has always wanted to visit Fishman Island and Elbaf, as well, despite how scared he is of giants.
