Appearance: Extol's skin is a sickly pale white and his lips are a desaturated purple.

History: Extol was an average human for sixteen years. Upon his seventeenth birthday he saw a shape descending from the clouds. He was enthralled by the mystery of the object and planned on investigating what exactly the meteor was. However, a visitor delayed him. A mail man had delivered a gift to him- a colorful fruit (perhaps too much so) in a box with a letter that read "do not eat". Extol hastily discarded the note and opened the box to see it. He shoved his "present" into a burlap sack. The conundrum of the curious fruit was a secondary thought for Extol. However, he should have questioned why someone he didn't know would send him a package.

A theft was reported at the same time Extol reached waters. He rowed out to find the "falling star", only to discover a ship with a fractured mast. He was desperate to discover what happened and scrambled through the wreckage. He could find almost nothing salvagable; however there was a telescope. As he scouted the far off seas for any clues he noticed two interesting details; the first detail was the telescope was disgustingly filthy, and more importantly, the falling object was in fact a man. This man was special- he had large wings and was using them to fly towards civilization. As he followed the divine being, a patrol boat followed him. He had been framed for the theft of a devil fruit which was, conveniently enough, in his posession. Evidence lined up perfectly. Not only did he disappear after the previously mentioned crime he was also seen looting a ship which was destroyed. He was branded a pirate and devoted himself to the "Bird Man"

The rolling waves were no comfort for Extol. The nearest island was Jaya and approaching its shore from the west was a foolish idea. However, he was running out of supplies and and the sea was no kind mistress. His venture led him towards a fantastic jungle land spotted with colorful plants and obscure creatures. The awe of these sights encompassed Extol and he found himself rowing toward the beach. A thick crunch welcomed his dingy to the piles of wreckage. Unfortunately for him high tide would not sweep away the boat. He left an obvious trail for any pursuer to follow. Each clue lead further to damnation but the mystery of the grand line provided a veil over his location. Extol had two days of time ahead of the marines chasing him and no idea that the marines were following him.

The jungle was fantastic. The vivid colors and the exotic sounds lulled him into a state of ecstasy. His wanderlust sent him into the heart of the plantlife. He wandered through the flora until night had fallen and he had found the remnants of society. The ruins of a small village had struggled to survive the elements, but the stone foundations of the archaic buildings were still there. The town had been ransacked except for an enormous mahogany chest. Extol examined it, and foolishly attempted to lift the crate but it was obnoxiously heavy. The contents of the chest were Extol's immediate concern. The rusted latch fell apart with a quick tap and the box creaked open. Inside of the trunk was an ornate scepter with an eagle sculpted atop it. Extol had no form of shelter and felt the effects of fatigue overwhelming him. The chest wasn't comfortable, but he slept in it. The next morning a group of scavengers hauled the mahogany chest, and Extol with it, to the village on Jaya. The men were shocked when they discovered him inside it.

Extol had no idea the trouble he was causing. The marines on his trail were being lead to a large pirate colony. A fleet was following them and the full attack force was two days away from the east beach of Jaya. Fortunately for Extol, he was leaving the island soon. Preparations for his next venture would take two days; Extol was safe from the military assault by the skin of his teeth.

As the marines reached the beach-head Extol left the island to seek his hero once again. He saw the fires of Jaya burning- forests, villages, people were all ablaze. Extol has repressed this event and the following two years.

Personality: Extol can be characterized by his puzzling zealotry. His devotion has lead him to travel across the grand line but he will not shed a single drop of blood for any cause. He is plagued by a loss of memory and a near paralyzing fear of fire. However, his troubles do not harm his moxie or his youthful charisma. His friendlyness is shallow however, as he has nearly lost interest in all subjects except the "bird man". Mentally, he is verging on unstable. His journeys have pressured him greatly and he is so stressed he could snap at any moment.
