Like the name said, these are layered Tonfas.
The first and outer layer is made of red wood.
The user can drop this layer at will (with a of a button on the handle) and the second layer will appear
The second layer is metal, which is proven much more harder and much more dangerous. This layer is still as thick as the first layer.
The final layer is the Bladed Tonfa.
From each layer that is dropped, the more faster the person weilding it gets. Like levels or so.
