Jaeger "The Mongrel" Kline

Appearance: Jaeger Kline stands nearly nine feet tall, of impressive but not overwhelmingly bulky musculature; his limbs are very well defined and thick, but possess their own wiriness. He wears a bright red silk shirt, open down the front with long sleeves, and loose fitting black pants that end halfway down his shin. He has an eye-patch over his right eye, his jolly roger emblazoned upon it. A crimson bandana covers his bald head, and grey stubble covers his entire jaw. His eyes are deep and nearly black, though in bright light they shine fiercely ruby. Two gold chains hang around his neck, over his bare chest, and many gold rings and bracelets adorn his hands and wrists. Black, fitted slippers are his typical footwear, the toe area covered in holes from his zoan transformations.

In hybrid form, Kline grows a coat of coarse, sickly yellow-grey fur and grows sharp black claws in place of all of his nails. His size increases slightly, and he gains the upper-facial features of a dingo, with a human mouth below the snout. In full dingo form he appears to be a large, yellow-grey furred dingo of advanced age with a distinctly feral and unwholesome look to it.

His teeth, in all forms, are stained red by a strange plant Jaeger keeps massive stores of and chews routinely.

History: Little is known about Jaeger other than that he began his pirate career at a very young age, having been born into the service of a well-known grand line pirate crew. Though he was an excellent pirate, he spent the majority of his youth unknown, living in the shadows of the other greats of that era. However, around the time he approached middle-age, he began to question the validity of a life lived unexceptionally. Refusing to fade into the background, less than a footnote in history, Jaeger began one of the most rapid and brutal rises to power in recent history, raising a crew of the most misfit lowlifes the sea had to offer and turning them loose on every island he ever came across. Within five years Jaeger had gone from a complete unknown to one of the biggest, most prominent threats rampaging in the new world.

Personality: First and foremost, Jaeger is ruthless. After that he is self-serving and deceitful, in about equal proportions. Scheming, calculating, cunning, unfeeling, inhumane, cruel, vicious, savage, conniving, dastardly, unsportsmanlike...every word ever thought up to describe a person who does ill unto others describes the man. He lives for no other reason than to further his power, to make a mark on history that can never be erased. He possesses the capacity to act kind when it may win him aid or turn others to his cause, but ultimately he is no more capable of any positive emotion towards another human being than he is of mercy. In battle he presses his offense relentlessly, with no regard for harm to himself or any of his allies, until all of his foes are dead.

When invading new islands, Jaeger employs a ruthless "scorched earth" policy. He sets fire to every building that will burn, toppling the ones that won't if possible. Additionally, he keeps great stores of salt and grain on his ships to aid with this tactic. The salt is sown into the soil, making it barren and lifeless for many years. The grain is to feed a small army of rats, whom he spreads about the islands he invades to carry his diseased parasites to the survivors after his crew departs.

Flag Ship: The Pound - A massive warship of the olden style, painted a dreary and lifeless grey to better blend into a foggy sea. Has an unusual number of cannons.

Devil Fruit: Inu Inu no mi - Model: Dingo

Effect: Allows Jaeger to change between human, dingo, and human-dingo hybrid forms.

Special Abilities
Zoan Mastery - Jaeger earned his nickname for his extreme proficiency with his zoan-type devil fruit. He has trained himself to access a number of specialized zoan forms:
- Speed Hound: By transforming only his legs and using the powerful running muscles of the dingo, Jaeger can greatly boost his speed.
- Power Hound: A bulky, muscle-enhancing transformation. His muscles growing noticeably, Jaeger slows down somewhat but delivers several times his normal strength in this form.
- Claw Hound: Transforming only his hands and feet, Jaeger grows massive, black claws, much larger than they would normally be in hybrid form. These claws are viciously sharp.
- Jaw Hound: Jaeger can transform only his head, turning it fully into a dingo head without changing other parts of his body if he wishes. When he does so, the teeth are extremely long, hard, and sharp, and his jaw gains incredible biting strength.
- Frenzy Hound: A sleek, sickly-starved looking hybrid transformation. Fast, agile, and impossibly resilient, this form activates his instinctive dingo "killing spree" reflex. Using the form's enhances speed with it's sharp claws and teeth, Jaeger becomes a whirlwind of destructive force.
- Awakened: Jaeger has learned how to "awaken" his zoan devil. This transformation increases his size drastically, his height doubling and his muscles expanding to enourmous sizes. His head is fully animal in this form, and his hands and feet are covered in massive, brutally sharp claws. While awakened, his stamina regenerates constantly, making him almost impossible to keep down unless he's killed. He is incredibly strong in this form, and doesn't lose any speed. However, his tactical abilities decline to the point where he can't use any techniques or reason very well. He retains a basic awareness of what he's doing, and can choose to change back; otherwise, he is very dumb in this form.
Mangy Mongrel - Jaeger has deliberately infested himself with fleas and ticks. These pests all carry an extremely rare disease that Jaeger himself is immune to, having survived it in his prime. Anyone around Jaeger for very long will catch the disease, very rapidly falling into weakness, fever, chills, and pain. It is can be fatal without medical attention. Though there is an immunization shot, the disease is so rare that most places don't have any; Jaeger keeps a store for his crew, and keeps it under tight lock. Additionally, his mouth is a warren of bacterial nastiness, and bites and scratches from his transformed claws and teeth will rapidly become infected and pustulent if not treated quickly.
Brutality Hound Martial Arts - A special martial art designed by Jaeger to be used with his transformations. Jaegers attacks and movements produce tearing shockwaves for several feet around, giving his attacks reach beyond his physical reach as well as amplifying his destructive potential.
