Appearance: Maria is about 5'7". She has dark hair and eyes. To some she is considered to be a beauty. Her hands and feet are well worn from years of hard work as a slave. Maria is usually seen wearing a Marine uniform, but when off duty she wears a long, red cloak over a white, short-sleeved shirt and grey pants.

History: Maria's early life is not known, but all she can remember is being a slave. Her first happy memory is of meeting Reiji, who she quickly became friends with. The two did everything together. One day, Reiji's older brother, who owned Maria, tried to have her killed. She was about to die when Reiji showed up with a spear. He attacked his brother and the people holding Maria down and he took Maria from the island. Together the two of them decided to become Marines. They were successful in that regard and quickly rose up a few ranks. Maria has held a slight crush on Reiji, but is afraid that it will hurt their relationship if she talks about it with him.

Personality: Maris is a shy, humble individual. She is often overly polite towards the people she meets, but this is understandable considering the way she has been treated for most of her life. However, she is a kind-hearted person that wants to help everyone.
