Fei then said "You are pirates are you not? You did not pay the appropriate tributes or what not........ to me this is a simple issue , either you pay the fine or be locked away, or remain on the island till you get enough money to pay the fines............." Fei looked at this crew and wondered what would happen next.

Feng was on the ready to kill anything that moved in sight of Fei as well as Lee who was glaring down.

"Pirates? Of course not... What made you think that?" Avis responded sarcastically, her face locked in a deadpan. She had said such a pretty and poetic speech to present their side of the story, and it didn't seem words would be enough for the rest of the conversation with these people. Innocently reaching for the hilt of one of her swords and tapping it rhythmically, Avis didn't budge a single inch when the men on each side of Fei stared at those standing in front of them. "And what would happen if none of those answers were satisfactory, hypothetically?"

Fei sighed unmoved at all by Avis's actions, it did not concern her one way or the other, but then she came up with an interesting idea. "Well i could exhaust resources and have my men all kill you people where you stand...... but i wont do that........ so instead i will give you a challenge in exchange for your freedom, this way i dont have to waste my time, getting up to break every bone in your body..... so what do you say?"

Avis smirked, intrigued by what Fei had to say. Whatever the woman planned, it had to be better than being stuck on the island until judgment day. "A challenge you say? I quite like the sound of that... What are the terms?"

Fei then slowly spoke "There are 4 governing powers on this island, Wu Shang clan, lead by me , and the three stars of xingshi, three powerful martial artists who reside in the village you were just in.... they are very powerful all with particular skills...... fight each of them and bring me the badges as proof of your victory...... if you can beat them by tommorow 4 pm, i might give you your ship back, if you fail, you are stuck here until you pay the fine......"

"Let's see, four governing powers and three martial artists would mean.... Wait a second," Avis pondered, counting on her fingers to try and determine how to divide up the crew. Including herself, they only had six to Fei's seven. While this phased her confidence little, someone was going to need to pull twice the weight unless something changed fast. Realizing that there wasn't another better solution in the horizon, Avis sighed. "Fine, we'll play by your rules. Although, I do request that you give us the names or locations of the fighters we'll be facing so we don't begin to play a children's game of hide and seek."

Fei chuckled lowly and then signalled to Lee to give the information to them.
Lee then spoke "As my mistress has already told you there are three stars of xingshi. The first is located at the docks, his name is Baishan Jaa. The second is located within town itself at the yellow building, its the only yellow building there. His name is Tzun Ren...... and finnally the third star is at the house near the hill, her name is Megumi Schroeder....."

Killua then muttered under his breath "Sensei........"

The two group heads chatter had got Avery bored. Though with the talk of possible battle he perked up, " I could end it all right now, Just need to cut that bitch down! That'll be the end of that. Stupid women, always gotta play games... " His thoughts swayed one way, but his respect for Avis kept him inline. Hearing the first name was all Avery needed, " Baishan Jaa? Sounds like a strong name, this will be interesting " He needed no more motivation. " I'm going to the docks. " he said aloud. " We don't have the time to screw around. I'll meet up with you all once I've obtained a badge. "

Fighting alone. That's the way he liked it, and really he needed no one getting in his way. Walking out the door he waved with is back to everyone. Heading down to the docks was his only priority, and Avery did so with a swiftness in his step.

Dontae listen to the women talk about the heads of the island, Dontae's skills in fighting were enough to get by but not enough to take on Martial arts specialist the best he could do was give someone backup, he heard Killua teacher name and knew from the look on Killua's that he was going to be the one to challenge her, he then looks at Avery " Hey Avery, Now's not the time to be a hero, how bout letting our Captain come up with a plan then you can storm off" Dontae was a little mad he didn't know Avery, but he decided that he should be a team player since there all in the same crew....

Jace looked down at his hands. He hadn't realized that there was any blood left on them. He thought he had washed it all off. Oh well. He would deal with explanations later. Right now, there were more important things to deal with.

Jace watched as Avery headed off on his own. He turned back to the captain.

"Should I follow Avery, captain?" Jace suggested.

Meanwhile in several locations in the town news had already spread. In the docks there was a huge , muscle toned , dark skinned man who was carrying heavy sacks of stock to the warehouses when someone ran up to him "BAISHAN!!!! Fei screwed the three stars of Xingshi over, she has set a challenge for those pirates that docked here, if they beat you and the other two stars , they can get their ship back!!!" Nearby some of the men who were baishans friends looked concerned, Baishan simply let out a laugh. "What they need to beat me first right?" Baishan ripped off his shirt revealing his heavily toned and muscled body. He wrapped his fists with tape and lifted his knee up "I welcome fights.... Fei did me a favor......."

In the town, unnder the Jian dojo, a man was playing a flute, he had long hair and a mustache and was not overbuilt. He seemed a person with grace and fluidity. One of the students rushed in and bowed to his master "MASTER TZUN!!!! Those pirates were given some challenge to defeat you and the other two stars!!!! Damn that Fei, she has been wanting to get rid of the stars without getting her own hands dirty........" Tzun surprisingly smiled and walked down putting his flute aside and the putting his hand on his disciples shoulder "Sun Quan, you must understand that i am not so weak that i can lose to pirates....... i will make it as quick as possible... lay out some tea for me....." Tzun took up his jian sword, it was light yet heavy, another wonderful day for battle, as the man in yellow sat outside his dojo.

Meanwhile , at the house near the hill, the viallgers had reported to Maegumi and Stevie who were not surprised by Fei's challenge. Megumi drank up her rice wine "All the young brats have no manners.... nonetheless , i wont go easy on Killua ..... most likely he will insist on coming here........"

Dynar didn't expect to defeat one of these people in a fair fight. He really could've used the frog's help here. Nevertheless, he had superior mobility. If he could stay in the air and shoot his opponent from there, he might be able to win. Otherwise, no chance. He wasn't much of a fighter. Most of his centered on coordination and skills as a doctor and biologist. But he would follow his captain, nevertheless.

Avery had heard dontae's voice, but with no intention of replying he pressed on.

While walking, Avery began to think, " Fei is quite the arrogant person. Taking the boat away, threatening our lives, then she demands us to participate in this challenge. Trampling on my pride is not something I just let slide... Besides no one else in my crew has the balls to stand up to her. I'll just have a word or two with her upon my return " a small smile made its way upon his face.

Reaching the docks Avery looked around sharply. " Hmmm, he's gotta be around here somewhere. " He wasn't a patient man to begin with, but there wasn't much he could do. Venturing deeper into the docks, he searched keeping his awareness high.

Avis made no motion to try and prevent Avery from leaving. It would've been a waste of energy to convince him otherwise, and he didn't seem like the type that'd change his mind very easily. "Let him go, both of you," she responded to Jace and Dontae, who both seemed slightly troubled about the man's sudden disappearance for their own reasons. "He's just being a bit hasty, that's all."

At least Avery seemed to know what he was doing. Avis smiled uneasily when Dontae mentioned how the swordsman should have waited until they had heard her nonexistent plan. You can never really plan ahead for these types of situations, but she couldn't help but wonder if it was expected from someone of her position.

"I don't know anything more about our enemies than the rest of you do. Flip a coin or draw straws if you gotta, but your choices are as good as mine. All I ask is that you leave Fei for me to deal with," Avis stated. It was only logical that she dealt with the person who took their ship in the first place, and Avis was determined to give the pompous woman something to remember her by. Call it a pointless rivalry among female captains, but she wouldn't be able to sleep comfortably until Fei was taken down from her pedestal.

Jace looked around at everyone, but crossed his arms across his chest. "I'll stay with you captain," Jace said. He didn't want to leave anyone on their own, that was why he wanted to go after Avery, but from the look of the three fighter before him, Jace figured it would be best if a few of the crew stayed here to fight together.

Killua then said "so we are fighting the big three..... captain, how about the three stars , how are we going to address them,maybe if we beat them first we stand a better chance......"

Meanwhile at the docks, Baishan was sitting down right behind Avery. "Ohhh,hello, you must be new in town right?"

Avery became a bit startled as someone spoke behind him. Turning on his heel, Avery clutched his sheathed weapons. Seeing that the man was only sitting, he relaxed his grip. " Oh, hello. Yes I am new in town, I'm actually looking for someone. Goes by the name of Baishin Jaa, I'm supposed to kick his ass and take his badge or something like that... " Avery spoke in calm collection tone. With further observation of the man, he seemed in rather good shape, with his hands taped up. " Ohhh I see, so its him, word got around fast. " As he thought a smug smile came over him.

Baishan smiled and then said "Ohhh, well, you see you take a left......." Baishann sent a quick straight kick at Avery head.

The incoming kick was fast, almost so that Avery had trouble keeping up. A quick squat and he was able to avoid dammage, though Baishin's leg scrapped his straw hat off. With the leg above his body, and hand still gripping his katana, Avery drew it from being sheathed and slashed at his opponents chest, in a single motion.

As the dust settled Baishan was just walking foward. he had muttered Iron spirit as Avery tried to cut him,his body hardened up and Averys slice did nothing. Baishan laughed "I am Baishan...... by the way that sort of thing tickles , acha"

Still holding his blade to the opponents torso, Avery stood in amazement. Speechless in a sense, letting his guard down. " Uh uh... Iron... Spirit?.. "

Baishan sighed "Acha, you dont know about Iron spirit.....it is the fundementals of all martial arts on this island.... really its quite amazing acha, for example....."

Baishan lifted his knee up and then sent a kick "Iron spirit, steel ratchet......" his kick immediately powered up into a slicing motion and he smashed his leg squarely aiming at Averys chest.

Obviously not ready for defense, the kick landed dead center of Avery's chest. As it struck his mouth erupted blood, and his body shifted flying back. Avery landed on the hard cold wood of the dock, spitting up blood as he lay. Eventually rising to his feet and picking up his sword, " Dam.. I wasn't expecting this.. One kick, an I feel like I'm dieing. "

" The names Avery stark, and I don't know much about martial arts " He answered with a bit of anguish.

" Out of the three Xingshi, what is your rank among them? " Avery asked only because he wanted to know if Baishin was the strongest.

The swordsmen took longer drawn out breaths now, the kick defiantly took its tole.

Dontae looks at Killua " hmmm you're right and if you think like I think you do your going after your master and if you don't mind I'll join you as your backup" Dontae reaches in his pocket and pulls out a cigarette and lights it and begins smoking..

Baishan smiles "Acha, my rank amongst the stars.... one could say we are all equal but that would be a lie..... if i was seriously saying it, my defense is number one amongst the three stars acha......... Megumi senpai is the one with the greatest technique out of the three of us acha, and Tzun is agility and speed acha........"


Killua then resolved "No dontae san, i have to ask you a favor.... cna you face my master, i have a fight here along side captain ...... i want to do this my way........"
