Appearance: Sanya has short red hair that covers his eyes. He occasionally ties it back with a strip of black cloth. Sanya is tall and slim, and he wears a haphazardly stitched together leather shirt made of varied brown hues and of varying thicknesses. His leather pants are made the same way, but the hues are more dark, whereas the shirt is lighter in hue. He wears a dappled brown and dark green sash around his waist. He wears another haphazardly made article of leather as a gauntlet on his right hand. He also wears homemade leather shoes. His sword is always carried in his left hand, and wields his sword right-handedly.

History: Sanya lived on a forested island alone with his shipwrecked parents. They hunted and gathered to survive, eventually, getting to a point of equilibrium with nature. His father was a fair swordsman, and while Sanya was young, his father taught him swordsmanship and a certain degree of chivalry. After Sanya turned 19, a small group of fledgling pirates got to the island his family was on. They had decided to take Sanya's parents to be sold as slaves, as they were just in their mid forties. Sanya was out at the time, hunting for food. When he came home to find his parents gone, he made his way onto the pirate's ship before they left, and fought with them. Though their numbers were few, and they were weak, Sanya still had trouble defeating them. One of the pirates fought with two swords, causing Sanya' disdain at swordmen who, in his opinion, 'cheated'. When he eventually succeeded, he saved his parents and stole the pirate's ship, and left. He developed his own sheathe-and-sword combo style since then, and has worked to improve his speed and strength. He tries to stop unfair punishment wherever he goes, and that has led to some problems with Marines.

Personality: Sanya is a fairly cheerful fellow, easy to entertain, easier to impress, and easier to anger. He does not take insults lightly, and treats swordsmen who use tricks with contempt. Sanya isn't very paranoid, accepting things as they come for the most part. He is very justice-oriented, following Moral Justice as his compass. He has a GIANT weak spot for beer. He knows it is bad for him, so it takes some persuading to get him to drink.

Special Abilities: Skilled with using his sheathe as a shield. Is also fairly fast, but Soru speed will easily outmatch him. However, he has good reflexes. Also can hold his sword in many angles and positions without much change to his skill.

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25):
Antlion: Sanya feints with his sheathe to one side of his enemy, and quickly follows up with a slash at his opponent's side.
Betrayal: Sanya gets behind his enemy, back to back, and stabs his enemy through the chest from behind.
Cut the Grass: Sanya runs through a crowd of enemies, ducking and weaving, cutting their throats as he moves through. He is usually capable of thinning the weakest of the group from the crowd in a matter of minutes.
Dismember: Sanya aims for the arms and legs of his opponent, attempting to disable them.
Down to Size: Sanya gets behind and near his opponent's legs, and attempts to cut their tendons and bring them to their knees.

Weapons/Items: A fairly high grade katana, unnamed, and a sheathe of extremely dense steel.

Goals: Prove that you don't need any special tricks to be a swordsmaster.
