DAVY BACK FIGHT: Monkey Pirates vs. Youryonaka Kaizokudan

It was a small island. Too small for anyone to set up a town really. Although, it was a perfect spot for a Davy Back fight. It was mostly open, flat land with sparse patches of grass and a few large boulders. There was plenty of room for the match. Captain Oceana Edwards of the Yoruyonaka Kaizokudan (often referred to as the Midnight Maurauders) disembarked from the Ethereal and took a deep breath of fresh air. The challengers should be arriving at any moment., she thought with a grin. It should prove to be an interesting match up.
(eh... it's not much, but' it's enough to get going, right?)

Ranyx had returned to his thirty year old form and disembarked, following Oceana. "This'll be an interesting experience," Ranyx said, yawning.

Avarill walked to the shore. "Never been in a Davy Back fight before, but I've heard about it." He walked next to his captain. "What are we taking from them when he win?" He grinned.

Meanwhile with Shaunic and his crew.
Im ready to kick some butt. Said Shaunic.

Van woke up.

"Oh an island. And some pirates are docked there. Whats the decision, captain?" he asked

"Lets go find and fight them." Said Shaunic.

Van sighed.

"Sail seas, fight pirates. This is the life I decided?" He looked over at the island.

"Looks like they're waiting for us."

"It appears our opponent has appeared." Avarill commented. "How did this go again..."

Van picked up his guns.

"If they want to fight, I'll be ready."

''You got everything Van?'' Shaunic asked .

(Nevermind.)

"I'm all set. Guns, bullets, extra bullets, back up extra bullets. I have everything." Said Van, putting on his hat

Avarill unsheathed his sword. "Finally getting to use this in an actual battle for this crew." He looked at the others for a moment. "That thrice cursed fish didn't count." He finished.

Ranyx didn't even need his swords. He actually threw them onto the ship, and put his hands in his pocket. "I'm ready. I'll show them to fear the power of Rokushiki."

Shaunic and Van docked the ship ''Lets go!'' Shaunic yelled as he got off the Monkey wrench.

Van followed, seeing the pirates on the sland.

"I've got a bad feeling about this." he said to Shaunic

"Why do you have a bad felling?" Asked Shaunic.
"How hard can pirates be?"

" Just trust me on this one." said Van,

"So there are our opponents? There are only two of them." Avarill regarded the Monkey Pirates.

"Looks like it, Avarill," Ranyx said, slouching over. "It would probably be only fair if it was a two on two, wouldn't you say? But I'm not sure whether or not we're supposed to fight or compete..."

Jim walked alongside Nova, a spring in his step. His recently acquired boots were part the reason; their soles were, indeed, quite springy. Moreover, however, he was looking forward to a change of scenery.

He had no idea if he was actually part of the crew. He'd given them a hand, one which may or may not have actually been needed, on the way over. They'd mostly, for their part, tolerated him well, saying little and acknowledging the pirate only when necessary. He'd mostly, for his part, had a nice stay.

Sticking out an elbow, Jim made as if to lean against Nova's impressive mass, thought better of it, and leaned instead against a door. He spoke lazily, as if at the moment speaking were an effort. Given that everyone in the world left their liquor cabinets unlocked to him, it may well have been.

"Need another man for this game? On the bright side, if you lose, you can always get rid of someone you don't care about a lot more easily than someone you do. Getting them to pick me, however..." Jim paused, shooting an eye to Oceana to see if she was looking, "now that's the trick."

Meanwhile Shaunic and Van was looking for the other crew.
"Where are they?". Said Shaunic

Avarill sighed when he saw Shaunic looking for them. "Is he blind!?" He blurted out. "This really doesn't seem good. Let's just get this over with."
