Thespian commonly wears masks (this way he still has some minor human details). His typical mask is a white tragedy mask. When he wears this mask. Thespian's hair, though obviously dyed, is charcoal black and rests neatly above his mask. He dresses in warm colors.
History: The Thespian was raised to be a performer at an early age. He was a progedy; his understanding of theatre led him to impersonate and act during everyday situations. He drifted away from traditional society as his ego grew. The Thespian's only desires were related to his glory; he wanted more and more power. He was on the path of a criminal and his greed would help his life.
Theft would be his crime and it would be a great one. A man selling mysterious goods (actually valueless junk) was peddling in the town Thespian resided in. As a child he did not care for morality and so he saw a magic fruit and stole it; the peddler was shocked in to accounts, that a person stole an item from his cart of junk and that his cart of junk had a treasure in it. The peddler hired a crew of mercenaries to investigate who had stolen his fruit and after weeks the mercs had gotten a lead. They believed it to be the Thespian and they were correct. While they were looking for proof it was him he was using his powers to further his career and his influence. The devil fruit gave him the power to control the emotions of those around him and so he was well recieved.
When the mercenaries found him they had everything they needed and took him to a magistrate to prove his guilt. He might have been a child but he was to be tried as an adult; this he could not have. The magistrate had grown attached to him as he was the star of the town and listene d to all the lies the child told him. He accused the crew of framing him and that the captain had stolen the fruit for himself. The magistrate was outraged and had the captain executed and the crew jailed in Impel Down.
Years later Thespian abandoned his original name and took up the mantle. While his love for entertaining had not fizzled out he decided to further his own power. He was fascinated with a special weapon he saw. It was called Rembrandt, and it was imbued with a devil fruit. The weapon was a family heirloom and so it was not for sale. Instead he pretended to be the long lost brother of the rightful heir. From their, he invited his "brother" to tea. During this occaison he challenged his "brother" for the blade.
He poisoned the tea.
He had the object of his desires and wanted to go further. No that he had a glorious blade, he wanted a glorious title and king of the theatre was not enough. However, King of a nation would be. Realizing that would be ridiculous as he didn't know of any monarchy in the area he postponed his goal. Instead of satisfying his pride, he decided to satisfy his greed and formed a crew of mercenaries.
Personality: Thespian is an objectivist individual. At first glance his selfishness seems to be from an evil nature, however it is from a logical viewpoint. He does not have a drive to destroy, thieve, or murder. This does not mean he is not greedy as he has a desire for money, power, and fame. He loves a good stroke of the ego but his desire is mostly for his talent to be recognized not because he has a compulsive need for gratification.
The Thespian is a well mannered man in most aspects. He shows respect to those who have not annoyed or bothered him and has the "aura" of a leader. For someone who is an actor he is talented at not making a scene and even better at disolving a situation. Not much touches a nerve; cheap remarks bounce right off of him.
