Serious: Haru Nenji's Duels Chapter 4: Journey at Jaya AND Luke Grantz's Investigations Chapter 1: What happened in Skypiea?

Miyu wanted to drop the pipe, but somewhere deep inside her head, she knew that she needed a weapon, or else she wouldn't be able to win.
It burned. It burned in her hands. Still, she held onto it.
She was so focused on the pipe, she never saw the kick coming.
When she did, it was already too late.
She crashed against a wall and dropped to her knees. The girls kick had hit her in the stomach and it hurt so badly.
She shivered. She wouldn't ever scream.
Slowly, she got back on her feet, still holding the blistering pipe in front of her protectively.
There was no way she could lose now. Her crew... Haru... Luke was counting on her.
"This... really is your last chance, lady... give up now, please."

The girl just laughed. Give up? I do not know that word. The girl then touched the pipe again Not letting go aren't we? . She then aimed a punch at Miyu's face.

Miyu sighed.
She dodged the punch of the girl, just to headbut her hard in the next second.
She could feel something, most likely the girls nose, break under her forhead.
The girl didn't seem to have expected something like that, and her grip on the pipe loosened.
Miyu took this chance and pulled it out of her hands.
Instead of giving the girl a break, she hit the pipe on her already damaged head hard.
Somehow, doing so hurt her more than touching the pipe ever could have.

The girl then collapsed with a head injury. The audience then roared with cheers when suddenly... You didn't forgot about me didn't you? . The ice man managed to recover some of his strength and grabbed Miyu in the neck. He was about to lift Miyu when he was stabbed in the back. Of course I haven't. You all right Miyu?

"S-sooo cold..."
He had just been touching her for a short time, but his hands had felt like ice. Miyu wasn't hurt, but a little surprised. She had been sure that she had knocked him out before...
"Thank you, I'm okay... But what about you? Weren't you attacked by them before?"
She smiled slightly, rubbing her neck. It really was cold.

Luke grabbed the ice man and puts him on top of the flame woman. He then stabs them both in the chest using a sword. I rested a little and was about to help you but you can manage yourself after all.

Miyu gasped when she saw what he was doing. She didn't even listen to his words.
"You monster!"
She shouted. She felt tears rush to her eyes. She rushed to the unconcious enemies side.
"Stop that! Can't you see you're killing them?"
Her hand stoke out and aimed for his face.

Luke then grabbed Miyu's hand. Listen pirate. I am a Government officer after all. It is my job. .

Yes, those were definitely tears in her eyes, but it didn't matter.
"And that gives you the right to simply kill people? People who have a life? Maybe a family? People who care for them?"
Her voice got louder as she spoke. Now, she was yelling at the top of her lungs.
"Then you're the only real criminal here!"
She snivelled. Her voice lost all its loudness.
"You're supposed to be just..."

What? How about you? Did you know that they killed hundreds and thousands of innocent lives? How do you explain the families that they destroyed? . Luke then stepped back a little.

"And how does that give you the right to take their lives?"
Miyu looked around. Where was the doctor when she needed him?
"Nothing, I repeat: Nothing could ever give anyone the right to take the life of another person. You could have given them to the marine instead!"
This was what upset her most.
"They didn't have to die! They could have been imprisoned for punishment!"

Luke sighed and transformed into Haru. Marines? I am higher than those punks. I am a member of the World Government. Unless you want to die now I can take your body there.. Luke then points a sword to Miyu

Miyu knew she shouldn't have trusted him. Still what he was saying hurt her a little. Kill her?
Why don't you try? That's what she wanted to say, but picking a fight with a member of the world government wouldn't exactly increase her chances of evr being able to live normally again. She clenched her hands to fists.
That guy might look like Haru, but she knew he wasn#t. Haru wouldn't say such things to her. Or would he?
"Get out..." she whispered.
"You don't have a reason to help us. In fact, everything speaks against helping us. So why don't you just go now?"
She didn't want him to help her anymore. She didn't want him on her side.

Luke transformed back into his own form and started to walk away. He grabbed the basket and threw it in the air. Someone then caught it. It was Haru. I am just speaking about the mere truth about the Government. If it had been another person, he would have been tried to kill you.. He the turned to Haru. You better know the consequences of being a pirate. You better protect your crew or else. . Luke then started walking outside.

Haru then jumped inside the arena You okay Miyu?

Miyu looked at him. Could she trust him? Was he the real one?
She looked deeply into his eyes.
After some time, she simply hugged him.
"Haru...."
She snivelled a little. She was crying again.
"He killed them... Haru..."

Haru then holds Miyu's head. We can't be angry about it. It is the way of the Government against pirates. He isn't a bad man actually, he just showed you what will happen if you fought with them. Let's get going and heal your wounds up.

Miyu nodded and wiped the tears off her face.
"So did we win then?"
She asked with a weak smile on her face. Not that it really mattered to her, but everyone else seemed to want to go to that sky island thing so badly.

Actually we will not go to the Sky Island yet. Have you heard of the, legendary Davy Back Fights? Haru then looks at the sky.

"Uhm...."
Miyu had heard something about it from her customers when she had been a waitress, but it was all too fishy, and she hadn't really paid attention either.
"No, I'm afraid I don't know..."

Haru then sat in a huge rock just outside the arena. It is a legendary battle where you get to fight another pirate crew in challenges and games. If you win you get to have people in the other crew join your crew.

"Ah..."
Miyu looked to the sky and thought about it for some time.
"So we're going to do that? Sounds fun!... But doesn't that mean if we lose, we'll have to give them something too?"

Haru was just silent. Of course. We have to give up something. And the worst case scenario is, losing you.

Miyu looked at him. He really seemed to be worried about it.
"Look, we don't have to do this. Who needs some games anyway?"
She tried to smile, but it was weak. She really, really wanted to do that thing. Because it was better than fighting the other crew for real.

"Free newspapers! One of the yonkou caught! Is there gonna be another war?"
Miyu turned when she heard the boy shout. He wasn't in sight, but his voice was very loud and goos to hear even from where she was standing. A war?
"I'm sorry Haru, I think I'll need one of these!"
She ran off towards the voice, leaving Haru behind. Inside, she already knew what she was going to do, and it made her a little sad.
"Excuse me, sir? Could I have one?"
The boy was barely old enough to be called sir. He handed her a newspaper with a big grin.
"For you anytime, sweetie!"
Miyu took it.
"Thank you!"
She said with a smile on her face. One second later, she was already reading the article. One of the yonkou was to be executed soon.
It was highly possible that there would be a war. With lots and lots of dead people...
She threw the newspaper away carelessly and ran towards the harbor.
She knew what she'd have to do. Increase in bounty or not, she'd have to go there and help. Whichever side. Either one was fine, as long as she got to safe a few people.
She found a ship that'd take her in the right direction.
Only when the island was already far away did she look back and noticed she hadn't said goodbye to anyone.
Maybe it was better that way, though. She'd most likely never see them again. Hopefully, or else there'd be more trouble because of her.
Even though she knew they couldn't hear her, she waved and whispered
"Goodbye Haru... Goodbye guys... Good luck!"
