weapon name: Horizon Mark XI Model Long Range custom shaft (referring to the bolt loading space) crossbow.
description:a crossbow with a shaft spanning 2 metres long, the butt end and lower shaft is made of wood. The butt end is fitted with a thick layer of padding. Metal braces hold the upper and lower halves of the barrel and main shaft together. The bolt loader is made of metal, and can be widened manually (but no longer that 1 metre long) to be able to fit projectiles other than bolts. Has a gun trigger positioned under the butt end and has a long spyglass fitted on the top just behind the bolt load shaft. A retractable mounting stand is placed under the near front of the crossbow. The bowstring is made of a durable coiled rope, made out of monkey spider silk. (is this plausible/acceptable?) It is usually outfitted with long bolts as ammo, which can be coated with a paralysing poison.
weapon special abilities: Is a weapon which can fire long bolts up to 2 miles away; the weapon itself is relatively large and heavy, and for all that range and power behind each shot, has a great deal of recoil. Moving around and firing with this weapon is impossible for a normal human. The weapon can be dismantled and placed back together again. It's more defining characteristic, however, is being able to fire projectiles other than bolts, so long as the projectile is only around 1 metre long. The bolt load can be fitted with any projectile that around 5 cm in width, but any wider and it becomes too impractical to load up. The weapon can only hold one projectile at a time before it is used.
history: It was supposed to be a mounted defense for a royal castle in the South Blue; Then some odd person waltzed right in and swiped the weapon without the guards noticing; it has been thoroughly modified ever since.
