Home Village/Ocean: The Tarai Current interior.

Appearance: A fairly heavy and light brown skull, with a fairly boxy shape, with a upper and lower jaw outfitted with sharp, pointed fangs which are relatively difficult to break. Connecting the mandible to the cranium is a layer of strong but incredibly flexible jaw muscle, which allows him to open his maw up incredibly wide. His pupils are yellow and his eye\'s sclera are black; he has a thick, well muscled neck which helps him hold his head up. These muscles and the jaw muscles help give Johnstoni a horrifyingly powerful bite, 10 times as powerful as any shark or crocodile, and have enough strength to pierce all materials except for metal and anything more dense. His muscles are very durable, and that ensures that once he bites down, he\'s not letting go until he yanks off a piece of his target. On either side of his neck\'s base are 2 pairs of gill slits tinted red. His skin is a light brown, as are the spines running down his back, arms and legs. These spines, like his fangs, look thin and fragile but are quite sharp, pointed and hard. His body frame is fairly muscled but overly bulky. This makes him look slim and relatively weedy compared to his fishman brethren while in reality, the muscles under his skin are tightly knit together and act as a speed, force and momentum multiplier. His bones are also very strong, and his legs and arms can help him traverse many obstacles on land. His legs in particular seem thin, but are in fact very durable, propelling him through the water at a relatively swift speed. His spines can unfurl into fin webbing, which has a dark sea green colour; this webbing goes all the way down his back, arms and legs, and helps him steer his body through the water. His feet and hands sport long, sharp talons that are the same colour as his skin, and sport the same deep sea green webbing between each talon. There are 4 digits per hand on his arms, and 3 digits on each foot. The spines on the back of his legs slowly increase in length further down the leg up to the heel. Unlike his brethren, he wears almost no clothing except for a sea green cloth around his waist (tied like a pair of briefs) and has stapled black cloth onto each of his knees for no known reason. (In the picture, the tips of his talons, some spines and fangs are red; its obvious why) When in the dark, his body colour changes dramatically; his fins glow a neon blue, his eyes shine a bright yellow and bioluminescent spots appear all over his body, coloured red. Whether this change is a structural adaptation or a psychologically triggered change is unclear.

History: Long before the World Government took the Tarai current as their method of moving across the oceans, there existed a clan of nomadic fishmen who followed the current\'s flow all their lives, isolated from Fishman Island; This clan sported some uniquely evolved fishmen, adapted to life on the move. Then, the World Government purged the clan, either killing or enslaving most of the fishmen, completely destroying the nomadic clan and their heritage.
Or at least they thought they did.
Stickleback Johnstoni was born in the flow of the Tarai Current; even then and there, in the presence of his brethren, he was looked down upon and labeled a disgrace to all fishmen; this was because he was born with a weakness; he was asthmatic to the light, and so was weak during the time he spent in the daylight or open water. His sire (biological father) and even mother disowned him. He ended up having to swim at the very back of his clan, never remembering anything about his brethren except for their looks at him, expressions of disdain and contempt. Most of the times he was attacked by predators he had to escape or fend for himself; he was even attacked by his own brethren, and shunned by other fishmen youngsters. Then one day, in the dark nocturnal seas of night, the World Government launched their attack on the clan, in a devastating maneuver that trapped them in a section of the sea; young Johnstoni was captured, and because the marines saw his asthma of daylight, he was seen as useless as a slave, and was instead beaten to near death, tortured and made to watch other slaves get tortured, even those that weren\'t fishmen. Then one night, mid voyage, Johnstoni snapped when they saw some world government officials abusing a little girl, and proceeded to kill everything in the room, biting into heads, stabbing with needle sharp spines, leaving all but that little girl alive, then proceeded to kill every living thing on the boat, even other slaves. Yet he did not even bother to notice that single little girl. He left the ship floating dead in the water, now full of bitter hatred; he traveled through and out of the Tarai current, traversing through deep, dark water and nocturnal waters, slipping by Marines and WG units, and killing some such individuals where and when it could be helped. He finally slipped out of the Tarai Current, and wandered the dark seas, witnessing acts of barbarism at the behest of many humans, fishmen and other races. His hatred grew, and grew, and grew with each passing island and ship. But so did his strength and power; his body began to change into that of a truly dangerous beast from a weak creature; by the time he was 20 years in age, he had become a thing of nightmares and myth. He would bite and rip his victims apart alive, and hang their body parts from fishing lines and hooks. Then one day, he encountered a strange vessel sailing through the water above him, under the surface of the sea, towards a Marine island base; oddly interested, Johnstoni swam after the vessel, which looked more like a giant manta ray than anything. When he arrived there, he saw a slaughter, with many marines dead and dying. He walked through the base until he saw a fishman dueling a marine captain in a sword fight; Seeing two things he hated adversely drove him into a brutal overdrive, and he proceeded to attack the captains, gravely wounding them both. The marine was immobilized instantly, but the fishman got up, and simply chuckled. Stunned and confused by the Fishman\'s reaction, Johnstoni was crabhammered by a crab fishman of considerable size. When he woke up, he was in the dark, in the same room as the swordsman fishman; he introduced himself as a fishman with Tarai fishman nomad blood running through his veins; his name was Salvat D. Jocar, captain of the Tarai Vengeance fishman crew. Jocar was the only fishman to notice that Johnstoni\'s asthma was not activated in the dark, and so arranged a dark cell to hold Johnstoni in. Jocar requested Johnstoni join his crew, where he could have the opportunity to bring down the World Government; After a deaf silence, in which Johnstoni made no agreement yet no objection, Jocar took this silence as a yes and proclaimed him a part of the crew.The rest of his crew, despite them having some misgivings about having such a fishman aboard as part of the crew, noted that their captain\'s word was one they could trust. For years they sailed the seas, looking for opportunities to mess with marines and world government installations, making life a living hell for them. Jocar had, early on, deduced wisely that Johnstoni was uncontrollable and was not suited to cooperation. Then he had an idea; he had researched several human martial arts from documents of libraries the Tarai Vengeance pirates had ransacked; he had deduced Johnstoni too mentally unstable to learn Rokushiki or Merman Karate. But then, he stumbled upon a document of one pirate captain of the Kuroneko Pirates, known as Captain Kuro, who was renown for his unstable and violent use of an unstable and violent combat art, known as Shakushiki. He managed to convince Johnstoni to learn this style of attack, headed back to their base at Fishman Island just to get him used to it. just as Jocar predicted it would, this combat style fitted him perfectly. Johnstoni now sits in that very dark cell, while his crew chase a shadow across the seas, and woe betide those who step in his line of sight, be they friend or foe.

Personality: Centered around HATE; He is docile and lifeless for most of the time, especially alone in the dark, where he, in his element, tends to lie still and do nothing. But when out in the open, his asthma to light makes him restless and causes him pain. He hates seeing humans, especially marines or World Government officials, and no matter what the situation, will attack anything on sight without hesitation. He will even attack fishmen and merfolk; he attacks anything, even giants and sea kings, head on without so much as a fraction of a thought. This is why the captain and crew of the Tarai Vengeance pirates have to lock him up in a dark and dense sea stone block. He will even kill children on sight. Despite this obvious racial and general hate of everything, however, he is completely impossible to predict, and is as metaphorically hard headed as his actual skull. He obeys no one, not even his own crew, and refuses to retreat or fall back; haki does affect him, yet it fails to actually knock him out; such indirect attacks enrage him instead. When in darkness, however, he calms, and begins to actually plan his attacks. Is very sadistic in battle, and enjoys ripping his opponents to pieces and skewering them while still alive with his spines and fangs. Despite all this gore play, however, he does not eat their bodies. The reason for this is unknown.

Special Abilities: Shakushiki

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): Echo hook-Johnstoni screams a high pitched scream that stuns anyone in a 5 metre radius of him for 5 seconds. Any farther than that and it is just startling. This attack increases violently in potency when used underwater; if used underwater, the scream causes seizures, vertigo sickness and even brain damage, commonly leading to a loss of sanity in common soldiers, but simply causing vertigo sickness against more seasoned opponents.

For the most part, Stickleback Johnstoni relies on his superior speed, strength, stamina and ferocity to deal with weaker prey. Against stronger prey, he needs to be careful on how he uses these attributes. He has above average mental fortitude, and cannot be intimidated, confused or astonished. He is capable of taking hits without slowing down, though for a limited time only

Spine hook: Stabs prey with leg or arm spines in a sweeping motion (usually swinging his arms/legs backwards) then flails the victim about.

Crunch time hook: Bites down on victim and will not let go until he chooses to or rips that bitten part of the victim\'s body off.

Harpoon kick: Uses his foot talons to kick and stab his opponents.

For foes of equal or higher prowess, or when severely injured, however, he instinctively switches to:

Shakushiki maneuvers: Shakushiki-super human speed amplified by superior fishman physique in the legs, his nature plus his muscle control results in turns made at sharper angles; making him more swift and unpredictable (and hard hitting, as his body shape is good at multiplying momentum and kinetic force) at the expense of actual accuracy (for Johnstoni, this means next to nothing) he commonly uses his hand talons to cut his prey. (he is at liberty to choose how he attacks any prey he does manage to hit due to his heightened reaction time capacity; this ability cannot be used underwater and rarely actually hits anyone fast enough (soru users can catch him)

Hammer time hook: When he doesn\'t feel like stabbing or biting any victim (or has his spines/teeth full of other victims) he manages to hit, he just uses the momentum of his compact body mass and head mass to knock an enemy down; this impact tends to knock an enemy a few metres away, cause disorientation and may even break a few bones (the latter is quite rare, unless Johnstoni makes contact with his head; if he misses and dives straight into a wall, he bruises himself badly slowing him down and reducing accuracy)

Spine reel hook: when Johnstoni manages to reach an opponent, he does the same thing as done in the spine hook technique (except he can only use his hands, which have less relative strength than his legs) except the momentum behind such a violent and uncontrolled acceleration ends up dragging them along, hitting the same things he hits. More often than not, however, fortunately for the victim, the target may slip off the spines and fall off, increasing his/her chance of survival. Stronger targets can use his spine's non grip quality to their advantage and turn the attack on Johnstoni himself.

Velocity harpoon: Shakushiki version of harpoon kick, except instead of using his legs to kick, he uses his hand talons and thrusts them at high speed at a target; this tends to impale the target, yet may also result in a loss of balance; If he did this attack too often, however, his arms would break

Bloody reel snap hook: Like the spine reel hook, except Johnstoni uses his powerful fangs and jaws to bite down on his target; once he has you in his jaws, it won\'t matter what rank the target is; if they are the same size or are smaller than Johnstoni, no matter how powerful, they\'ll be knocked off balance at the time of the bite and by the power of sheer momentum and maximum velocity; this time, there is no chance of escaping this technique. Unless the target is a giant (or tastes really bad) the victim is flung about in a random movement, breaking bones, and literally ripping the victim apart with sheer momentum paired up with the jaw power of his fangs. Johnstoni never lets his target go, until they are in a few pieces; such a technique ends up leaving a trail of blood from his victim, hence the name of this technique. (this attack is so stamina and energy consuming, use is severely limited

these attacks are labelled as such by Jocar, not Johnstoni.

(NOTE: Due to Johnstoni\'s daytime/light asthma, all attacks are halved in power; at night or in dark environments, these attacks and general speed put him at normal power, spotting him in the dark is more possible, even when he is using shakushiki [his bioluminescent body will end up leaving a trail] if any of these attacks are overused (spammed) then his endurance, attack and stamina plummets. He attacks with shakushiki only when in a pinch (other wise he attacks in regular fashion without a second thought, though he still cannot take an infinite amount of hits or continuously attack an opponent without needing time to recuperate)

His stamina is higher than his offense or defense, both of which still manage to drain him of energy relatively quickly, due to high metabolism, even at night.


Weapons/Items: Powerful jaws and sharp pointed body spines and talons.

Goals: Personal-kill and destroy everything he hates and sees.
Crew-To bring down the World Government, and retake the Tarai Current from their grasp.

You know this is a one piece role play right? I mean scull like face, super human EVERYTHING, this all screams Bleach Hollow...

with that in mind this character is only overpowered in the sense that his enhaced atributes have undefigned limits and are therefore extremly curruptable, whats stoping you from simply saying your strong enugh to take anything anyone dishes out with the body of his? Im afraid that untill you set clear limits I wont be reveiwng this character furthure

Right. According to the post now, i have set out clearly that his stamina for a burst of activity lasts for 2 minutes in the daylight and 4 at night; daylight shakushiki lasts for 1 minute, night time shakushiki lasts for 2 minutes. I have also stated that a vice admiral or a logia user deals more damage to him, which means he can't just sit there and take their attacks, and must therefore continue to dodge and expend energy. And i would like to re-emphasize his condition of 'Daytime Asthma' which makes him relatively less powerful than at night. As for the appearance, the skull's brown now and not bone, though the overall design of his head won't change. Guess it's a reflex for me to draw like that. Anything else i should add? Any details i've missed?

Well, it seems constrictive, but his fishman abilities will keep him from being KOed in a hearbeat. And physical strength and endurance have their limits; and the asthma was what separated him from regular fishmen anyway. I know of a field which has no limits though (relax, it won't change the restrictions above)

well that much was a joke, you see gohan was a user around here that well... lets say he.... "tested" the limits for over powered characters quite a bit, no harm or offense was meant (he also made one pice verasions of bleach, kenshin and dbz characters down to the letter)

oh, ok. Right. Forgot to add the limits when i first posted this; in any case, i have set some reasonable limits to his fighting capacities now. Do you find these changes acceptable?
