Appearance: As the nick name implies, he has red eyes (clichéd as it is for a villain). About 6'0'', with long, twisted, messy blonde/grey hair. A stubbly beard and a long face filled with scars and missing teeth. He looks much older than he is from countless fights and battles. His skin is leathery and tan and his eyes are dark and sunken like he hasn't slept in ages. ( a scary looking mofo)

History: Roche grew up as the son of a fisherman. He always had a good relationship with his father and mother, but always pitied them for living in the lower class. They couldn't afford schooling, so Roche looked for another route to riches. Pirating. When he was fifteen he left his house and told his parents that he was joining the marines, and that he would be back when he was an admiral.

Roche jumped aboard the first ship that would take him as a deck-hand, and slowly learned the tricks of the trade. But one thing he noticed, the captain was soft. He let the crew take more than their fair share on more than one occasion. Roche knew that that is not the kind of pirate he wanted to be. He sought a new role model, and found it in the vicious Captain Barbaros.

Roche joined Barbaros' crew at age 20, and the two hit it off right away. Barbaros kept his men in line, on one disobeyed, and Roche carried out his orders faithfully. It wasn't long before Barbaros took a liking to the lad, and made him his first mate. Roche became a tyrant. Any failure or mistake was met with severe punishment. The punishments were so bad, Barbaros even stepped in to keep Roche from killing crew mates.

He became furious. Roche had spent all his life looking for a man to look up to, and when he thought that he had found him, he turned out to be just another softy. Roche lead a mutiny on Barbaros and shot him in the head and dumped him in the ocean. The act of what he thought was killing the man he most admired made him snap even more. The guilt and remorse he felt was taken out on everyone and everything around him.

He was caught though, by a tough Marine commander named Avery Monteage. He and his pirates were captured and imprisoned. But that night, he lead a jailbreak, and he and his crew destroyed the town and killed Avery Monteage for revenge. Recently, Roche's pirates lead a raid on a small Marine base just outside of the grand line, bumping his bounty up to 50,000. He and his pirates are still stationed there ransoming the island.

Personality: Roche started out life as a greedy child, but the lust for power and belli soon overtook him when he turned to pirating. He wishes for nothing more than to be rich, and believes that the ends justify the means. He would rather be dead than live as his father did. When he shot Barbaros, he had an extreme mental break-down. That, coupled with his greed has turned him into a terrifying killing machine.

Special Abilities: Super strength, endurance and resistance to pain. His eyes strike fear in the hearts of those around him. He also shows little remorse or thought when killing innocent people. He is proficient in his use of Hatchets and Axe dials.
