Suigin suigin no mi (Mercury mercury fruit)

Capabilities: The suigin suigin no mi is the mercury fruit. The user is able to produce mercury from his body. The user may then control the mercury he has produced, but only that mercury. Any pre-existing mercury may not be manipulated.
While the suigin suigin no mi is powerful, it has some disadvantages compared to many other logias.
The fruit may be used to emit many sorts of mercury such as weapons extending from the hands, murderous mists, and generally creating mercury from himself. He may not turn into mercury however, merely shield himself using it and attack with extensions made of semisolid mercury.
The fruit is a small white fruit with the swirl pattern glistening silvery.
The most prominent uses of the fruit are listed below.

suigin suigin no kiri doku (mercury mist poison)
The devil fruit user allows mercury gases to escape from his body to choke
and attack the lungs of his enemies.

suigin suigin no buki ko (mercury armory)
The devil fruit user may make simple semisolid armaments from mercury.
This can be used to extend blades and other weapons and also, armor
from the users body. Furthermore, due to the heaviness of mercury,
this can be used to bring more weight to the users blows.

suigin suigin no tochaku suru (mercury reach)
The devil fruit user may reach far with mercury tendrils, combined
with the armory ability, the fruit alone makes for a powerful
fighter.

suigin suigin no shimikomu (mercury seep)
The devil fruit user may grab hold of his opponent and let mercury
seep into the enemy. This is even more effective than the mist poison,
but is generally a single target attack. It also functions well in
holding the enemy in place,

Oh. Sorry, I didn't find this rule about devil fruits anywhere? Shall I just change it so that the character can only expel mercury mists and other stuff? The turning-into-element stuff isn't really that important to me. I just thought it was par of the course for Logia. Editing.

So he can only control the mercury he's created? How would we discern what mercury is his and what isn't?

Well, it's a really quick set of trial and error. Since the user does his stuff pretty routinely, he can just first get all the mercury he has to move as a sort of group command and then do the more complicated stuff. Or would you like it more if he just controlled all mercury in a radius?

I suppose it makes a lot more sense for him to have a radius of control. However, that would make it so that he can control the mercury INSIDE of someone... Problems...

I suggest you reword it as follows:

The user is able to produce mercury from his body. The user may then control the mercury he has produced, but only that mercury. Any pre-existing mercury may not be manipulated.

You don't have to do this, exactly, just a suggestion.

I used that rewording, since it's pretty good.

Oh, one more thing: you may not force the mist down anyone's throat. I will instantly count that as godmodding. Mkay? If you understand:
