Appearance: 7ft 4ins tall and weighs about 278lbs. Wears extravagant clothing as well as a jewlery with ear rings, rings, and a necklace. Has a 5ft 10in long sword called Odin's blade and uses two flintlock pistols and various throwing knives.
History: Vladimir Barbat was born to a noble family in the North Blue. Growing up he led a life of wealth and privilage and he was destined to take over the family business. However one day when he was 10, while sailing with his family, his ship was attacked by pirates. His family was killed and the ship pillaged, he himself found a gun and pulled it on the Captain of the pirate crew. the Capatain however found him amusing and knocked the gun away calling him weak. Still interested in the spoiled rich kid, the Captain took him as a chore boy for his ship and soon Vladimir was working and learning to be a pirate. The Captain took an interest in him and Vladimir was taught how to fight and how to lead by him. The Captain never suspected that Vladimir was buying his time, becoming stronger and waiting to get his revenege on the Captain. One day when he was 25, during a ship pillage, Vladimir found a black devil fruit in the ship's cargo; hiding it he was able to consume it in private and relaized he had eaten the Kage Kage no mi. For 5 years he continued to fight with the Captian who had killed his family, while secretly training his powers. One day when he was 30 he convinced the crew to lead a mutiny. The Captain was in his Cabin when he was attacked and dragged before Vladimir who was doning a Captain's jacket. The Captain accused Vladimir of treason and mutiny, he reminded he had been like a father to Vladimir. Vladimir drew his pistol and said the last words the Captain ever heard, "True but you also killed my real father." With a single bullet, Vladimir got the revenge he had wanted for 20 years. From there Vladimir renamed the crew the "Black Horde Pirates" and has been a significant threat for sometime.
Vladimir was smart in his raids. He started small, attacking a merchant on occaison, but soon he and his crew where pulling off more and more daring attacks. They robbed a bank in louge town as well as shelled the Marine base to cover thier escape. They stole the jewels of a noble who was transporting them by ship. They have raided bandits for loot, defeated rival pirates, and have vanqished all who have come after them. In a span of 10 years Vladimir Barbat becamethe most feared pirate in the North Blue and is now prepared to enter the Grand line and stake his claim on any treasure he desires, including One Piece. Recently he attacked the knigdom of Arabasta in what appeared to be an attempt to kidnap the Princess, in truth this was a distraction to steal the family fortune of the royal family. This not only resulted in the fortune being sotlen by Vladimir but also the destruction of an Arabasta ship and World Government ship. As such the WG has taken a great notice of Vladimir's power and reputation.
Personality: Aggressive but not cruel, Barbat is kind to his friends and allies but bitter to his enemies. He takes betrayal hard as well as the loss of a comrade. He despises those of the noble class who can not defend themselves and rely on others to do it. He does love wealth and treasure though as seen by his extravagent clothing and can appear to at times focus on the "next big score". He is very tactically minded and uses strategy to go along with his great power. At times he is known to mock those he defeats and will also try to break them mentally.

effect: Allows the user to control and morph his shadow and the shadows of others to his will. User can also remove the shadows of other people by pulling them of the ground and cutting them off.
Special Abilities: Vladimir is an expert swordsmen who uses a combination of a fencing attcks with samurai defense. He is also a pistol marksmen and though he is capable with a rifle his expertise will always be a pistol.
Learned Techniques: Shadow Clone: Vladimir will use his shadow to make a clone of himself to fight along side of him.
Shadow Blade: Vladimir's shadow will rise to his arm and form a hook like blade sticking out of his fore arm.
Double Shadow Blade: Same as above except Vladimir will grow blades on both his arms.
Shadow Spear: Vladimir's shadow will shoot from the ground and take the form of a spear and stab at his victims.
Shadow Shield: Vladimir's shadow will take on the form of a giant medievil shield that will deflect most attacks.
Shadow Fist: Vladimir's shadow takes on the form of a Giant fist that will either punch or crush his enemies.
Shadow Claws-Vlaidmir's Shadow becomes many, many long arms that reach out and grab his oppenets and swipe at them.
Shadow bats-Vladimir's shadow becomes a flock of bats that fly at and bite his opponents as a swarm.
Knife Rain-Vlaidmir will spin on his toes like a top and throw various throwing knives at his enemies.
Titain strike: Vladimir will swing his sword down in a strike with all his power.
X-Slash: Vladimir swings his sword in a fast X cutting formation.
Odin's Wraith: Vladimir will stab at his oppenet in a fast and rapid attack that will have 20 stabs aimed at the same target.
Shadow Valhalla: His most powerful attack, Vladimir will call upon all the shadows in the immdeiate area to him and swallow them. His body will grow to a giant's size, he will grow black bat like wings on his back, he will grow black horns, and his strength will increase 5 fold. However if he loses shadows do to his wounds he will return to normal.
Weapons/Items: Uses a pistol and has a dagger strapped to his boot.
Goals: For now he wishes to make a name as a great pirate on par with Gol D. Roger, Whitebeard, and Shiki the Lion.
