Appearance: Kave Knewdark is a blue young man. Cropped blue hair, sky blue eyes, and always wearing a variety of blue-colored clothing, namely jeans and denim shirts. His skin is pretty much the only thing that isn’t blue. When spelunking, most of his gear is indeed blue.

History: Kave grew up in a village of spelunkers, built above a massive natural cave complex near the sea. At high tide, the sea rushed into the cave complex, bringing in many riches, but taking out anyone foolish enough to stay down there. Kave, like many other children of the village, began spelunking at the tender age of 4. As he grew, he began to join the work that nearly everyone in the village did, descending into the maze of caves, and bringing up flopping fish and salty sea treasures. Until the age of 14, Kave was like any other child, happy at his daily adventure into the darkness beneath. Until his rope snapped one day, and he fell down a long, curving tunnel into unexplored depths. With a rising tide, and a guttering candle, Kave could only run panicked through the twist of caves, climbing frantically to escape the rising water. He longed for nothing more than to see the open sky again, and as he ran, he did not cry for his parents, but “Sky! Clouds! Blue!” Exhausted, and faced with a dead end, he scanned the water rising past his knees for anything he could use to save himself, and found the usual flotsam. A few dead fish, some small pieces of soggy wood, and other detritus. One thing, however, was new. Something he, nor anyone else from the village, had never seen before. A strange fruit, wrapped in a torn black cloth. The fruit looked edible, and his flight of panic had taken all of his energy away. Biting into the fruit, Kave only swallowed a tiny portion, so terrible was its taste, before he threw the fruit away. But it saved his life. With water lapping at his waist, Kave realized that the fruit had turned his body to something much tougher. He was able to dig through rock with his bare hands, and escaped by digging himself to the surface. From that day on, to remember the terrible feelings of the sky-less dark, Kave wears all blue, to mimic that which he missed the most. though his vilage was remote, word of his talents and powers spread, until it fell on the ears of the leader of grey Code. And thus, he was recruited.

Personality: Kave is normal in most respects, having few oddities of manner and habit besides his clothing. he is polite and soft-spoken, and unlike most fanatics, is aware that his hobby, geology, is actually quiet boring to most people, and so will not talk the ears off of any who ask him off it.

Only on Raftel can all types of mineral be found, and any caves on the island with crystalline formations would feature crystals of a quality unlike any other. Kave hopes to see this fabled formation.
